Momentarily get message found new hardware and ready to use but then get device not recognized again. Any help appreciated.

I have a galaxy S2 (Europe GSM unlocked) that is quite screwed up. It started out as the screen no longer would display anything (phone booted fine with it responding it touches and gestures normally). I contacted Samsung and they, as always, say bring it into your local repair place for service so I tried to hook it up to my computer so I could wipe it before handing it off to strangers since they want me to ship it overseas. I tried to get into download mode using the normal button combination, but when I plug it into my computer Windows says its an unrecognized device now both with and without KIES. ODIN doesn't see it either anymore.
Worse yet, it wont reboot back into android with it just now reporting itself as "Android" with a product ID of 0x0001 and the vendor ID as 0x18d1 (Google). Any ideas on how to get this fixed without shipping it overseas since I am now in the US and Samsung USA wants nothing to do with this phone?
Try these guys maybe ?
Ok, think I finally got into download mode, but it shows up as "Gadget Serial" with windows unable to find drivers for it despite the fact they are installed. x.x
Any ideas?
thanks for the idea, I will wait for Samsung UK to get back to me (whome I got the phone from) and keep them in mind. I am a bit reluctant to trust some strangers on the net to fix my phone but I am starting to get desperate. I am back to using my AT&T iPhone 4 *shudders*.
Did you install the drivers found in the kies directory?
Hey guys,
My Galaxy s3 is pretty much useless at the moment. I had it rooted a while back and decided to unroot it. I used Odin and the stock rom for telus galaxy s3 sgh-i747m. Odin did its job and showed it was done successfully, however the phone never booted back up even with holding the combo buttons (VolumeUp+home+power). Also my computer cannot detect the phone driver via usb cable showing QHSUSB_DLOAD, but it does make a beeping sound when connecting it or holding the combo keys while it's plugged in via usb cable.
I used a usb jig hoping it would get it to boot into download mode but no luck. I can take it for a JTAG and get it fixed, but since I screwed up I rather spend some more time and learn to fix it myself. A friend mentioned about QPST in order to get it to download mode and using a similar stock rom reprogram the phone, which I'm not familiar with.. anyone can give me a hint how to go bout this your help is much appreciated

I'm Fairly New To The Android Concept, And I See Its A Little Bit More To Trying To Jailbreak It Vs. The iPhone, I'm Getting Stuck Using The Casual "NoYouVerizon" Concept Of The "One-Click" Method, But As Going On, I Don't Understand The Log's, I've Tried Searching For It Constantly, And I've Been At This For A Week Straight Now, I Need STEP by STEP Instructions On What To Do, Because I'm Reading Alot Of Different Things, And It's Not Really Helping Me At All, I Have A Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 2, With Version 4.1.2 On It, and I Have *Correct Me If I'm Wrong* VRAMC3? If Thats The Right Thing. Please Somebody Help Me. Send Me A Message For My Contact Information. I Wanna Get This Done Pleasee!!!

One click root not working XDA. Someone needs to go back in and put the fix in for ERROR: No partition with identifier "60" exists in the specified PIT
Ive tried everything so far, even uninstalling the phone driver driver to allow samsung driver to reinstall, even manually installed the dev driver. I even tried to use odin3 to install via xda instructions. Odin can detect device if I just plug the phone in but if I put the phone in down load mode and connect, nothing. I checked device mgr and it shows the device in usb connections. WTF, XDA is verizon winning??????
Update:
Well I did discover after all this that I am rooted but I think that s all. When I plugged my phone into the computer Casuals usb showed in the Device Mgr screen instead of Samsung. To confirm I downloaded root checker from the play store and I am rooted via super user. Theres an issue though with putting the phone in download mode and odin detecting.
Update 2
Well it finally just worked and I was able to get odin to detect the phone while in download mode. I am now on root66 !! Help for others: Be persistent, I think it took time for my pc to accept and activate the changes IE: the casual driver replacing the samsung. It literally just happened after about 5 or 6 failed attempts of running the one click root. And it happened after a couple of samsung driver deletions. When the phone was plugged in, I went to device manager on the pc , usb devices and deleted the samsung drivers. I wound up doing this about 3 times. I restarted my computer after this to. Then I plugged the phone in again and there was casual usb controller appearing in device manager, replacing samsung. That was when I discovered I was rooted even though I had gotten the error message that started this post. Later, I went ahead and was able to install root66 by following the xda directions. wow......it was an all day affair but hopefully this will take some of the grey area out for others with this problem.
Thank you XDA for working to [email protected]^! this phone that verizon and google so graciously shoved up our #$% with a warm smile. The wi fi button for the notification bar is not available, I believe this is due to verizon when they put their stink on the phone. I would like to get that back if possible. Also the google search popping up when you plug the headset jack in is still there, but you can go into settings/task mgr/ all aps and scroll down to google search and disable it. The annoying pop up voice search hasnt showed up since I did this.
Hello everyone I am new to the Galaxy series. I thought the Samsung Kies idea looked like it could come in handy.
I have a Galaxy S4 (originally through U.S Cellular) but was FLASHED to Verizon Prepaid. After installing the program I tried to plug my phone into the laptop, but it says the device cannot be recognized. I can only assume it's because it was flashed and it doesn't recognize it as a Galaxy. Is this true?? or is it something I am doing wrong
.. I would like to send files to and from my computer but so far NOT so good
Can anyone give me an idea

What model of Galaxy S4 do you have?
Are the proper drivers installed?
At the very least, you should see the phone as a MTP or PTP device when you plug it in. If you're seeing nothing appear, then perhaps the cable or USB jack is bad.

Hi guys, I need some help with my Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300.
A couple weeks ago my phone turned off by itself and never turned on completely again. If I turn it on, it stays on the very first boot screen forever (the white text saying Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300, like this one (https://cdn-images.xda-developers.com/direct/1/1/5/2/1/9/8/I9300.bootlogo.jpg).
I've removed the SIM card and the MicroSD card with no effects whatsoever, and I've also left the device turned on for hours but it always stays on the same screen.
I cannot enter recovery mode (it just shows the boot screen mentioned above) but I can enter download mode. At download mode, I get this info:
ODIN MODE
Product name: GT-I9300
Custom binary download: No
Current binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Oficial
As you can see, I have never flashed a custom rom (or rooted or even unlocked the bootloader). This is what intrigues me the most, since everybody I've seen with the same problem had trouble during or after a flash.
My last OS version was 4.3.1 and it was received OTA months ago.
In the past few months, my device rebooted out of nowhere, even when I was not using it. Occasionally, it had the stuck power button, which caused it to reboot on a loop, but I always solved it by nudging the power button a little. I don't know if these two previous problems might have caused the problem I'm facing now, but they're not showing up anymore.
Anyway, I've tried to flash the newest official rom (NK1 - ZTO) via Odin but I always get a NAND Write error.
I've tried changing USB ports, USB cable and computers; tried Odin 3.04, 3.07 and 3.09; tried Samsung USB drivers v1.5.45 and 1.5.49 but nothing of the above made any difference.
Today things started getting worse, though. In the past, Windows would always recognize the device on at least one specific USB port; Odin would also recognize the device and then I would get the NAND Write error. Now, Windows will not recognize the device no matter the cable, USB port or driver version. I only get a unknown device error and Odin won't recognize anything connected.
I tested all my setup with a working Galaxy S3 I9300 and it got recognized every single time, no matter the USB port, the cable or the computer.
Considering that another device is getting recognized by different computers, I suppose that the problem lies in my Galaxy S3.
So, can anyone offer me any kind of advice or point me in any direction on how I can try to fix my phone? Is my phone physically dying and no software solution will unbrick it?
Your power button issue has corrupted/damaged the nand memory. Try the dead boot recovery thread in general forum but unless you have warranty you might be better off with a new phone.
I was afraid of that.
I checked the post you mentioned but it seems I'd have to buy tools and hardware more expensive than the phone itself, so I'd rather buy a new smartphone.
Thanks for the help!
