I flashed EU GlobalDev 7.1.19 on my RN3 below
- UNofficial unlocked
- Alka Recovery
- Global Stable 8.0.6.0
Steps I followed
1) Backup data. Remove pin from current rom
2) Reboot to recovery
3) Wipe data, dalvik, cache
4) Flash EU ROM
5) Wipe data, dalvik
6) Flash SU
7) Flash Dalvik, Data
8) Reboot
It took 5 min. The rom booted fine but one issue
On boot SETTINGS force closed. I explored and found this post ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...dmi-note-3-t3404890/post67858903#post67858903 )
It mentions that by deleting /system/vendor/lib64/hw/keystore.msm8952.so the error went away.
However now I cannot set fingerprint as the settings force close if I try to set up the pin / pattern / password.
Can someone guide how to fix it.

I also have the same issue, i managed to access all applications and desktop by adding "Apps/Startprogram" as a shortcut in at my lockscreen. However when pressing homebutton i still have the issue where Setup Wizard crashes.

Managed to solve it!
First off make sure you have the newest version of ClockworkMod Recovery (6.0.4.4) :
The problem for me was using the wrong gapps i believe! It was ROM Manager who provided me with a bad version. I manually downloaded Gapps 4.4.0:
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Gapps
There are also versions of 4.4.1 that should work aswell, I hav'nt tried though:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2012857
Then i simply restarted my phone entering recovery mode (volume up, power, home) and reseted all phone data, reset dalvik etc. Then i first installed gapps from sdcard and then nightly from sdcard.
For those facing Setup Wizard has Stopped FC
I was facing this problem for a long time today. My device is a Galaxy Fit and I was playing with the latest cm11 kitkat update. However it does not work without a complete data wipe and after the data wipe and flashing the latest nightly it gave me the Setup Wizard Stopped FC.
All I did was -
1) Go to recovery mode
2) wipe data/factory reset (this option wipes data , cache and sd-ext)[using CWM 6.0.4.6]{use the Recovery version that allows you to install Kitkat if you faced this problem while flashing cm11 kitkat}
3)wipe cache
4) wipe system {from the mount unmount menu option}
5) wipe dalvik cache {from the advanced menu option}
6) flash the proper gapps file from the sd card
7) flash the proper rom from the sd card
[here I wanted to make sure if everything was working again so i rebooted and well the Setup Wizard DID NOT pop up]
8) rebooted into recovery and flashed the CWM 6.0.2.7 [which you will probably need for Mounts2Sd to work]
This is my first post ever.. Hope I helped. Ty:fingers-crossed:
I just wiped /system and it got fixed

Thank you so much. It worked on my gt-s5570 running CM11
I have downloaded "S6Styled S5Port Rom" and I am facing troubles now.
1 - I can't lock the phone with Pin, it only locked by pattern only?
2 - Whatsapp & Viper is not working. I can't send/receive image files on both, I have tried all the solutions and nothing success.*
I reset the phone to factory settings and wipe the cache and installed the rom again and nothing happens same

1. You should be on NK1 kitkat firmware
2. You should using cwm 6.0.5.1. Here is the link http://www.mediafire.com/download/dx2mm590clsynzt/CWM-6.0.5.1-mukul.zip
3. Flash V3 s6 styled s5 port. Dont flash V2 or V1
4. Before flash. You should do factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik, format system and boot. And then flash it
5. After that flash deds kernel
in this link : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23578570567717550
6. And reboot

I got same issue, can't set fp,,only face unlock works perfectly
also latest global rom won't allow installing twrp. need to flash older version of official miui rom to get recovery
Easy fix to fingerprint issue in Newer Xiaomi EU ROMs
This is how I got rid of this fingerprint problem.
1. First you need to flash Orangefox recovery for redmi 5 ( any custom recovery like twrp would work but I recommend Orangefox since I know it will work )
2. Then after entering recovery, click reboot then click recovery. If it don't reboot to recovery use the power button + volume up combo to re-enter recovery.
3. Go to wipe section and click format data. Type yes then enter.
4.Again reboot to recovery.
5. Wipe everything except internal storage and sdcard.
6. Reboot to recovery.
7. Flash xiaomi EU ROM v8.9.6 for redmi 5. Wait for flashing. Click wipe cache. No need to wipe data or anything.
8. Reboot system.
9. Complete the setup and add fingerprint.
10. Reboot to recovery and install any xiaomi EU ROM you want. But don't ever wipe data. Wiping data will wipe fingerprint data and you will get fingerprint error
11. Don't do anything extra just reboot system. Booting will take some time than usual. Its just for first time. Enjoy your new ROM with fingerprint and face lock and without bloat. :fingers-crossed:

Reboot system. Setup fingerprint.
Reboot recovery and flash the desired EU ROM without wiping anything. Just reboot system.
Hit thanks if it helped you.

On the 10. rom before start flashing the old 8.9.6?
Because the error occurs after flashing the rom but before it is completely installed (I don't arrive at the initial configuration of the phone because it resets first).

Before installing the eu 8.9.6 rom I ran from recovery (twrp)
- factory reset
- format data
- wipe cache, dalvik cache, system and data

I confirm!
Hi guys,
I have weird problem. My device is Kate, unofficial ubl. Already tried many custom rom, twrp 3.3.1 installed. Magisk 20.3
However, I have noticed that all custom roms I tried, always have problem with fingerprint unlock. I never encrypt the phone.
So the problem is : everytime I have flashed new rom, doing setup, with lockscreen and pin, fingerprint have no problem.
But when I reboot the phone : either from magisk, or by power button, then the fingerprint unlock not working. I need to manually go to twrp and delete : *.key and locksettings.* files.
But this doesn't solve the problem. With miui rom MM, I never have problem.
Procedure to flash new rom I'm using :
1. Wipe dalvik, cache, system, data
2. Factory reset
3. Format Data
4. reboot to recovery
then flash rom and others.
I even did wipe my internal storage due to desperation on this same problem but it didn't fix the issue.
Now I'm on miui ported rom, Nougat, using Magisk 20.3, and kernel Escrima X28-Kamui-Lightning Blade.
Any solution or is this lockscreen bug ?
Thank's
steps i need to follow for flashing rom
1. wipe (delvik, cache, system, data)
2. install rom (after flashing a message appears 'No OS installed)
3. then i press home button, and reboot to recovery.
4. Again install rom (this time without wiping any thing)
5. finally gets new rom.
why m not able to flash rom directly after wiping cache etc.
i have to always flash the rom two times (step 4) to install.
where i am getting it wrong?? help please
previously I was using Pixel experience Rom (decrypted)
edit solution: the issue was because of using older version of TWRP. hence solved.
your issue might be because of system partition not getting mounted properly after the wipe. Hence After wiping, reboot to recovery then flash rom.
