To make LGUP work properly you need LG G5.dll, LGUP_common.dll and KDZ rom that you want to flash.
In directory where you have installed LGUP there is a folder "model",
you need to have three folders inside
LGUP_LGNPST
H850
common
You need a proper common file to flash it without errors,
use WindowsLGFirmwareExtract to extract LGUPc.dll from your KDZ file, rename this file to LGUP_common.dll and place it in the folder common. Then load LGUP and try to flash again.

Worked for me. I successfully downgraded my V20 int. variant from 10g to 10c by extracting and placing the DLL file from its own firmware. Thank you for this solution I'm sure it can be useful for other LG models too.
Thanks for sharing, although
Still failing with same error "0x2bc" .
Did notice a slight difference,Instead of failing at %5 on my g5's screen, it fails at %2.
Anyone else find a method ? LGUPPERCUT did not work, LGFLASH did not work... I am not one to give up easy, but damnnn.

Have you ever root/modifiy the firmware?

Did you try to flash the firmware on another computer?
It seems that My windows 10 PC does not work well with LG UP, But when i try the windows 7, I can fix my phone with LGUP
THANKS

I tried that, and I Got this error message: "DLL for G820UM is not Installed Properly. Please, install a DLL package(*.msi). for the model"
Has anyone see this error message before, I get this when I try to open up LGUP software. after renaming the DLL file.
the only difference from the folders mention above I have folder called 8994 not H850 I Am assuming these folders are the chipset folders.
any answers on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

A lot of times this is due to the fact that vista, 7 and 8 has a feature called UAC which is on by default. What this does at the point of logon, Windows will create 2 token for you one with admin and one without. Every time you run a process it will defaulted to non admin. A lot of unlocking tool in the forum requires you to have administrator. So either you turn off UAC, or use 'run as'.

Ok, so I was having a little look at the R&D tool used for the offline flashing guide... And I see that there is an option to create a KDZ file from a CAB file... So, in the screen shot here, if a BIN file were converted to a CAB file, could we then load the file into this tool and create the KDZ?
If so, this may be something useful for easier root/unlocking... If not, then I'll hush now... LOL. Thanks for reading!!

i think you have made a mistake
if you want to modify the V20 version . you should find the words like this "#!/system/bin/sh" , and it should be the file of NO.11 or NO.12

Edit: have you tried to flash jb (20a ph) to (20a ph) ex. you are already in mexican 20a then you flash also mexican 20a bec you will put the edited bin, did you encounter any problem?
also im confusing bec. there is no existing folder name PHONE" in "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users
\Application Data\LGMOBILEAX\Phone" whats should i do?
Sorry, I'll sort you out with the edited bins very soon, on the bus home from work . I'll upload them on this post. Hopefully cmahendra will be able to add them to his post too.
I havnt tried the phili version of V20A, but the file sizes of that KDZ and the vietnam KDZ are the same, im guessing only the basebands are different.
Edit: Here is the hex edited file for the Telecom Concepts KDZ http://www.multiupload.nl/H70CX1EH46
As for the phone folder, you have to make sure your computer is set to view hidden folders, and also, the folder isnt always there (it disappears during the update sometimes). Once you start the KDZ update, you have to watch the LGMOBILEAX folder until the phone directory is there, then wait for the files to start appearing in the folder. Once the [11] file is created, paste the modded one into the folder and overwrite.
Edit again: Just read that on XP the folder location is slightly different. - "In one of the rarest case, in WIN XP machine the folder was found here "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\LGMOBILEAX\Phone"

Woo, glad your all rooted now! As for CWM, I just used the recovery installer app by artas. I kept having problems trying to do the bootloader method. This way is nice and simple. Just make sure busybox and su are both up to date and running fine, then just run the app and click install.

Alright so I recently got the lg k7 from metro pcs and decided to root it. I rooted it using kingroot and then used supersu me so that I could install supersu instead of the one used for kingroot. It worked and then asked me to reboot my phone but when it started up again, it just stayed frozen on the metro pcs logo! I removed the battery and went into recovery mode, (by clicking the down volume+power button) but when it starts up again, it still stays stuck on the metro logo. Im assuming it is stuck on a bootloop? I also believe it is soft brick because i can still access the download mode, although it did take a while as i had to find the dang drivers b/c my computer would not recognize it.
I tried using the LG Mobile Support Tool to try to unbrick it, but it says that it already has the latest firmware installed! I cant do an update recovery either!
Sadly the 7 day exchange and return has ended and I cannot replace it, so is there any other way that anyone knows to unbrick the phone?
Thanks
Did you ever figure this out? I had my k7 goto a secure boot error 9 and cant figure it out.

The only way to fix our LG devices...including @Goongydin device
1. downloada kdz firmware file for our respective model & carrier
2. download lg flashtool & another tool on a windows PC
3. put the device in download mode
4. reflash the firmware(Stock)
check out my tutorial here if the firmware file for the LG K7 is ever released...http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/how-to-universally-manually-update-lg-t3280735
HOWEVER the LG K7 firmware file has NOT been released yet & LG wont release if ask...I asked once & they told me they do NOT make it & then I ask another time(different lg representative) She said that file is proprietary & so it can NOT be released to anyone outside of LG...
so I have multiple responses that conflicts with one another especially when the first conversation was with an LG developer...who ACTUALLY makes those files apparently, but inclined that he does NOT.

I have the T-Mobile variant of the K7 (LGK330BK. Is this tot carrier specific? All I need is to get back into TWRP to restore my back up or restore my system.img.

If you have already fixed your phone disregard but keep this handy. It works. On the lg ls770 which has a locked bootloader and is very finiky. Hey guys,
I'll keep this short but first of all I would like to thank all the people that make this website what it is!
I have always come here for help in the past but this time I am really screwed.
I tried installing a rooted TOT file using LGUP (a 20j file), and I forgot to do OEM UNLOCK before hand. Also, my phone was on 20L so I think I screwed up there anyways.
My phone boots up and gives me the "fail root verification" error in red and just goes on an endless bootloop.
At this point and after looking online for almost 2 hours I think the only two solutions would be to find a TOT file that works with my phone (H901) or the KDZ file that is from the latest update 20L. I have tried using a kdz file from the 20e update (first MM 6.0 update), but it says that antirollback will not allow to go back to a "smaller" firmware.
The files on this thread below are dead otherwise I would not be here asking:

Please can someone reupload the kdz file for the 20L update? or a tot file that would work on my case?
Thank you so much in advance!
