Quick Charge 2.0 question - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

So I am about to flash lineage rom by minz1 which supposed to have a kernel that supports quick charge 2.0
And
My question is. Do I need a special type of charger for it to work or the stock charger that came with our phone will work?

I have installed the AmatROM for Galaxy Tab 3 and I am still not getting USB charging. I would post in the ROM forum, but I do not have permissions yet.

Hey,
You could simply send me a PM about this !
Response to your notice:
The USB Charging is NOT normally implemented by the ROM itself
It's implemented by the Kernel and BinDroid Kernel have this feature.
Properly check your USB Cable and please, DON'T USE THE DEVICE WHILE IT'S CHARGING through the USB.
You can use Galaxy Current Charging (search in PlayStore) to check if it's charging or not.

You must find kernel compatible with controler and enable it
Custom kernel requieres root and custom recovery.

[Q] Reboot Z Ultra On AC power

Hi Folks,
I would like to boot up my zu c6833 when it is connected to AC power.
After some research, I noticed the Nexus 7 can achieve this through adding strings in bootloader binary:
Code:
fastboot oem off-mode-charge 0
And Samsung devices can achieve this through modifying the file "system/bin/playlpm" with boot command added in.
A similar solution works with Moto E through deleting the file "system/bin/charge_only_mode".
So, if anyone knows how to modify the ZU to get it automatic boot up when the charger is pluged? Thanks!
have a read of http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z-ultra/help/dash-install-zu-truck-externalize-power-t2896692
Thanks @blueether. I read the thread before but could not understand how exactly the ZU can be made to boot on charging from that thread.
Does the Pimped Kernel caused the ZU to be able to boot from AC power. Can I assume if I flash the kernel, I will be able to boot the phone on AC power? Thanks for your help.

my CM 11 kernel will boot when AC is connected, as will my build of the Sony AOSP 5.0.x kernel, just tested the Z1 multiboot boot.img on a c6802 and that boots on charge as well

Is that possible to give more details on the purpose of flashing Z1 multiboot boot.img on a c6802? Sorry for the noob question but I did not know the Z1 multiboot would work on a ZU and if so, the ZU would do multiboot as well? Are there any links I could follow and do more research?
Thanks in advance.

If I get time I was going to try and port it across to the togari. At the moment it only works for main ROM on the ZU

Seems like a firmware bug I am afraid. Do you remember this only happened with this version of firmware or before as well?
Quote me in case you expect a reply!
Good Luck

As you can not remember, I'd only tell you from experiences from Sony .
Usually Sony updates have bugs, they do not iron it out completely and thus I have a bad experience with stock roms.
However the problem subsides if you use custom roms.
Do you want to go back to previous android build? I can write you instructions if you want to check that. However backup your data as it would wipe all data.

To update your firmware, you will need Sony PC companion to do it officially or you can use Flashtool.
Sony PC companion is the simplest method, however, if you need to know how to use flashtool.
Leave a reply and I will answer your query.
I do not own an Xperia Z2 . I look into forums and answer questions which have not been answered and ignored.
Good luck !
You are using a magnetic charging line, aren't you? If so this is not a bug. Sony intentionally makes auto rotate screen turn on when you use the magnetic charging port to charge your phone, because the port is designed for its magnetic charging dock.

Is this possible to disable usb charging through xposed?

Hello. I'm unfamiliar with xposed framework. I came here just to ask, is this possible to develop an xposed module to do that (stop usb charging while device is on MTP or Digital Camera mode)? If yes, somebody please take my suggestion and do it. Thanks.
@HellScre4m
I just released an app to disable usb charging in Android phone. Dunno it works for you or not.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.bramantya.stopcharging&hl=en
It needs root access.
