Help Me Getting my phone's IMEI number back - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

hey guys,
while flashing a rom using mi flash tool it failed with an error "insufficient storage to execute this command"
because i was unaware of the fact that to use mi flash tool i have to use 64-bit OS
as this flaw was out of my mind i used -w command in fastboot,as i understood by the error statement, but it didn't work cause i was using 32-bit os
but after getting aware of the very fact i used 64-bit OS and the process succeeded
Now the phone is booting properly but my my sim cards are not working :crying:
but i afterward noticed that IMEI no. was unknown:silly:
so please help me in getting out of this embarrassing situation.
Thanks.

i faced the same problem and tried everything and nothing worked so i flashed latest official global stable rom 8.1.1.1 mhomidi from miflash tool via edl mode and unbricked my device. my baseband and imei all came back fine.

If u have an efs backup then restore it! It should get back ur imei and sim related stuff!

Confusion
What is fastboot file of a ROM
Is it flashed in edl mode or fastboot mode

You might have flashed kenzo firmware to kate device.

I cannot find miui 8.1.1.1
I find 8.1.1.0 and I flashed it but it doesn't work
Can you share the link of miui 8.1.1.1 for Redmi note 3 kenzo

Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using XDA-Developers Legacy app

Noting is working. I am only getting failure.
The last option I have is to go to service centre.

install this app from playstore and manually add your both imei no. app name is Chamelephon

[help] possibly bricked device

So I was on MIUI 7 with unlocked bootloader, custom recovery (twrp) and rooted. I wanted to try MIUI 8 so I downloaded the zip version from MIUI website and moved it to my phone then I go to custom recovery. I flashed the rom and before the flashing completed there was a red line of error code saying
'cannot mount /factory'
I thought that kind of error can be ignored but I guess I was wrong and now my phone stuck in MI logo.
I can still go to fastboot,
I can go to recovery,
I don't know how can i go to EDL to reflash with miflash,
when I tried going into fastboot and using adb, no devices detected.
Is this the end of my redmi note 3 life or is there a way ? Please, any help is greatly appreciated.

That is very awesome! I just finished reflashing back to global stable with mi flash, thank you very much!
So the problems are on my driver? not on the twrp source file or maybe the modded boot img ? because I thought that I forgot to modify the boot.img before flashing twrp

Are you able to get into fastboot?
If you are, check using the command fastboot devices oem-info. If it shows device unlocked as true, follow this guide
http://en.miui.com/thread-250455-1-1.html
Your device should be back to life.
Or else, take it to service center and get the rom flashed free of cost

Kenzo: No network, WiFi, BT. MAC address is 02:00:00:00:00.

Greetings!
I'm facing this weird problem that some people seem to have as well. The device is recognizing my SIM card, but there's no network connectivity. I cannot connect to WiFi and it's showing this ridiculous MAC address. Bluetooth can be enabled, but other devices can't see it, so it's malfunctioning as well.
I have this problem on many official ROMs. Bootlocker is locked.
I'm currently on Lineage OS. Installing it set my IMEI to 0, but I restored it with IMEI Changer (WriteDualIMEI(W+G_eMMC).exe).
Should I unlock the bootloader and flash modem NON-HLOS.bin, to attempt to restore network connectivity?
Have you check imei ???
if you have twrp alka backup then restore it.

I tried multiple official roms, both dev and stable, Lollipop and Marshmallow. It's not a Lineage problem. I cannot unlock the bootloader officially, as I get stuck at 50% when it's trying to verify my device. I cannot log in to my MIUI account as there's no way for me to connect to the Internet.

Did anyone consider that hardware module for wifi &* bt is broken?
Check your phone box. The problem seems that your hardwares aren't detected right which need to be manually fixed by changing the Bluetooth and WiFi MAC Address. You can find the original hardware address on the box. And do some research on the Internet that works for your phone

[Tutorial] How to revert back to official stock MIUI

Hello guys so today I want to teach you guys how to revert your software to stock Miui.
1. First of all, you need to download Mi Flash Tool ( https://www.xiaomiflash.com/download/ )
2. Then you need to download the fastboot for your device and unzip the file ( https://c.mi.com/oc/miuidownload/detail?guide=2 )
3. Put your phone into fastboot mode and plug it into your PC
4. Open Mi Flash Tool
5. Click "select" then navigate to your rom files that you have unzip
6. Choose either you want to clean and lock the bootloader or just clean and keep the bootloader. ( Clean and lock bootloader is recommended )
7. Click flash and wait until the flashing is done.
8. Now you're back in stock rom.
Update : If u want to rollback to 11.0.7 and have your bootloader unlocked u need to choose option clean all only

Glad to know that my thread is useful to someone ?
miflash says it cannot find the log in the log folder. i put the miflash+tthe fastboot update in root folder.

I will answer my request: the above link shows the flash tool until 2018 version. it does not work. use the 2020 version from here !
That's for this very helpful thread. My device was bricked and I managed to recover it.
I had to change computers and install the Xiaomi drivers (prompted by u/drahtwurst's 2020 version linked previously). Turns out the machine I was using had corrupted drivers somehow.
What's the difference of doing this and flashing through recovery the MIUI ROM?
Worked perfectly, thanks heaps man! If anyone gets errors with the MiFlash tool, just create a new folder in the program's direcotery named LOG and it should fix it

If you select clean all and lock
Hi all,
i unlocked my curtana Device a few days ago and flashed xiaomi.eu, Havoc and RR ROMs. Because i like to geivew the Device to my father i flashed the original Rom to get everything back to Original.
I used the File curtana_global_images_V11.0.11.0.QJWMIXM_20200811.0000.00_10.0_global_38000bbd8b.tgz and flashed it via BatchFile, via Mi Flash and via XiaoMiTool V2 but all i got is a bootloop after flashing.
Do you have any idea? Do i miss something? After flashing the Xiaomi.eu ROM again, it boots up but i have still the annoying WLAN bug.
any help is welcome.
Thanks in advance
Could fix it with this hint.

Find inside Fastboot ROM
I just noticed the reply, sorry guys I gave my redmi note 9s to my mom so if you guys still got a problem with it you can try to refer from another thread or just quote this comment and I will try to answer it. Cheers!
I seem to have bricked my device using the MiFlash program, it had ''\$fastboot -s *lock'' in the box labeled checkpoint in the configuration settings, in the middle of the flashing process the device started to repeatedly reboot non stop, and if I hold down volume down it only flashes the fastboot screen for a moment before rebooting again, it seems there is nothing I can do since I cannot access fastboot mode or recovery mode. The device had twrp installed and I was trying to flash from the PixsysOS rom to MIUI v11.0.8.0 so that I could try out the Evolution X rom, I do not know what I did wrong, maybe I should have formatted data in twrp before trying to flash a new rom, or just flash the whole thing from twrp, or not flash the MIUI recovery at all. I hope someone can tell me what I did wrong .
Don't use 'flash and lock bootloader' . Just 'flash' .

[SOLVED] Tried restoring a original firmware to my Redmi note 9s but I'm unable to.

Hello, I'm having trouble restoring my Redmi note 9s to the stock firmware, basically I installed a custom rom but I want to revert back to stock since it has annoying problems and I'm fed up dealing with them.
I tried downloading a stock firmware and installing it with official Xiaomi tools but I just can't install them for my life, even got a bootloop, thought bricked the phone and that scared me lol. (it failed to install the stock firmware halfway)
My problem relies on the official tool not working and the drivers not working, the tool detected my phone after troubleshooting for like 4 hours searching a driver and trying all the Xiaomi flash tool versions I found, but it just won't install the official firmware, always giving some error.
If anyone here is kind enough to maybe direct me to a guide that works or just tell me what worked for them that would be appreciated, I just want to finally install Global firmware on my phone.
Thanks!

The last time I tried it was the miui 13 but it was not a timeout error, it was weird, I think it detected my phone and all that but when it started installing, it gave out an error when it was maybe half way and hung, luckily I have a custom recovery so I realized I didn't brick it and just installed a custom miui 13 rom from here
Btw I'm not sure if there's miui 14 for the redmi 9s (thats a official stock firmware), all the sites I get to are sketchy lmao
