Good morning.
I got a problem yesterday with my LG L5 II Dual phone: I caught my sisters pressing any buttons on it and when I saw what they did, there was an Android image on it. Now, every time I try to boot it, it cannot finish the initial setup, saying "Unfortunately, LGSetupWizard stopped."
I've rooted this phone some time ago, but the root seems to have no effect now. For instance, I deleted the following apps:
- Facebook
- Twittter
- All of "TIM" resources ("TIM Recarga, TIM Música, TIM this, TIM that"); "TIM" is the mobile operator of my phone.
I tried to follow the steps described in this post: "[Tutorial] Flashing KDZ on LG L5 II (E455/E460) and other LG phones", but I can't get my phone detected under "Download Mode", what I accessed using (Vol Up) + (Vol Down) keys while booting the phone. Unfortunately, it couldn't be detected in any workaround provided by this guide.
When connected under "Download Mode", I see a device called "LGE AndroidNet USB Modem" under "Modems" category on Windows Device Manager. It seems to be the only mode my phone could be detected under this mode.
Playing around with it, I could access a "Recovery Mode" by (Vol Up) + (Quick Access) keys while booting up the phone. I tried to get some info about it and I could, at least, use it with ADB. But I have read-only access, not read-write anymore. Searching more trying to get an answer to "ADB Force Root Mode", I got some things to notice, like the file "default.prop" under the phone's root system.
This "default.prop" shows the following 6 first lines:
Code:
ro.secure=1
ro.allow.mock.location=0
persist.mtk.aee.aed=on
ro.debuggable=0
persist.sys.usb.config=charge_only
persist.service.acm.enable=0
which means, I think, the phone now isn't configured for USB debugging neither for system write permission.
What can I do to, at least, try to delete some files on it, specifically the 4 setup wizard ones, located at "/system/app/" under the names "LGSetupWizard_JB.apk", "LGSetupWizard_JB.odex", "SetupWizard.apk" and "SetupWizard.odex", since these are the ones which I'm dealing with?
Ah. I tried on computers running Windows 8.1 and Windows XP SP3. No luck.
(edit: 2014-04-02, 23:16 UTC -03:00)
I've playing around with ADB trying to run it with another mode. I don't know if this can help, but sending the phone to recovery mode using ADB
Code:
adb reboot recovery
I get an Android lying with a red triangle sign over it... Still searching for a procedure or an answer to fix the phone, but still with no luck.
[Solved] Guide to solve this kind of problem
After looking for a while on how to fix the problem either by trying to run an ADB shell as root either by flashin the ROM, I could figure another way to flash the original "TIM" rom for my phone instead of the one described on the topic "[Tutorial] Flashing KDZ on LG L5 II (E455/E460) and other LG phones". Here's the way out:
1. Downloading firmware KDZ Flash ROM
First, you have to download the original KDZ ROM for your phone. It can be found at the link below:
LG Optimus L5 II Firmware List
The ones for Brazilian users are described in the page. For TIM users, I suggest using firmware 33 BTM/TIM(BRAZIL), size 599.09 MiB.
Since my phone was sold by TIM, I can't tell about another mobile operators, like Claro, Oi, and VIVO.
2. Extracting a binary file from the KDZ Flash ROM
After that, you will need to extract the KDZ file using LGExtractor (and not DZExtractor).
You can download it from here as an autoextractor file: <4shared>. It will extract itself to C:\RecoverE455\Extract.
Put your KDZ file on an easy access folder. I will assume you will use C:\RecoverE455\ROM for this.
Launch an Administrator command line prompt, and run this command:
Code:
C:\RecoverE455\Extract\LGExtractor -kdz C:\RecoverE455\ROM\<KDZ-ROM-FileName>.kdz
Again, I assume you will put evertything under C:\RecoverE455.
Now, you have a cabinet (CAB) file in the same folder of your KDZ ROM. Extract it directly and you will get some structure similar to this:
DLL (folder)
LGE... (binary rom)
LGUP... (dll file)
3. Getting a most recent version of LGFlashTool
After this procedure, you will have to download LGFlashTool in order to flash you newly extracted BINARY rom.
You can download it from here as an autoextractor file: <4shared>. It will extract itself to C:\RecoverE455\Flasher.
Run the Setup program attached within it and it will install itself under the folder C:\LG\LGFlashTool. Overwrite the file MegaLock.dll under this folder with the one you just extracted in C:\RecoverE455\Flasher.
4. Install the correct LG Support Drivers for your E455 phone
Instead of installing the most recent version of LG Drivers provided by LG, you will install the following ones:
LG United Mobile Driver 3.8.1
LG Windows Mobile 1.0
LG SmartPhone DUN Modem Driver 1.0
They are packaged and you can download them from here as an autoextractor file: <4shared>. It will extract itself to C:\RecoverE455\Drivers. Install them in the order described above then restart your computer.
5. Put your phone under Download Mode
To do this, turn off your phone either directly either removing and reinserting the battery.
Plug the phone - WHILE TURNED OFF - on your computer by the USB cable.
Hold (Vol Up) + (Vol Down) and turn on the phone. Keep holding (Vol Up) + (Vol Down) until you see the line "==>Download mode" in bottom of the screen. If it doesn't appear, try until you get this.
6. Configuring your computer to flash under USB download mode
After plugging your device under Download Mode, open Windows Device Manager and search for some LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port (COM##):
{

"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
If it is not (COM41), you must set it to port (COM41). Set properties of the serial port, select tab "Port Settings", then click "Advanced":
Here, select (COM41) for COM number port.
7. Launch LGFlashTool and flashing
Open your newly modified LGFlashTool (yes, the one you downloaded here and replaced some DLL). It immediately will ask for your BINARY rom and a DLL:
Click the "..." button and select the LGUP***.DLL in the same folder as your .BIN file you extracted in step 2.
Click the "Add" button immediately below (side S/W box), then select the LGE***.BIN you extracted in step 2.
Click OK.
Click the serial port button --
--, and let this dialog be equal as this one, with only "16 ports\Port 1 ~ Port 16\1" marked:
And now click the forward button --
.
It will display READY on box with port COM41.
Disconnect your phone, turn it off, then turn it on under Download Mode as described on step 5.
If you manage to turn it on Download Mode without connecting to your computer, plug it back to the computer.
It will begin flashing by itself. No action needed.
DO NOT DISCONNECT YOUR PHONE. I DON'T KNOW WHAT MAY HAPPEN IF YOU DO SO, BUT PROBABLY YOU WILL BREAK DEFINITIVELY YOUR DEVICE.
After all, your phone will restart with all its original configuration and LGFlashTool will display an error. After you manage to finish LGSetupWizard on the phone, you may close everything.
Man, you are a HERO.
I was having trouble debranding and updating my phone, but with your tutorial, it was EASY! Now I have a debranded and updated phone (V10K).
MANY MANY MANY THANKS!!!
Again, I assume you will put evertything under C:\RecoverE455.
Now, you have a cabinet (CAB) file in the same folder of your KDZ ROM. Extract it directly and you will get some structure similar to this:
DLL (folder)
LGE... (binary rom)
LGUP... (dll file)
i couldn't find these, i've done instructions carefully ... help me pleasee !!! :crying:

Hi! I'm here again!
I'm trying to do everything again, but now in my new phone, a D685 (LG G Pro Lite Dual).
But, when I connect it in download mode, FlashTool give me an error just after "USB Connection established". No description of the error, just a "F0000002"...
You know how to solve this?
LG 455 IMEI Problem
Hi,
I flash my phone following this instructions a month ago, all gone ok but yesterday both sims come into negative band and i discover IMEIS changed. I try to rewrite imeis from back label under batteries by all the ways i know, but none works. The AT command method via engineer menu or Putty console responds OK but doesnt change anything; same thing with MTKTools.
The las chance, i think, its by meta mode imei an sn change tools, like Maui META or SN_STATION, but i cant enter the phone in meta mode or cant find the correct drivers; every times programs fail attemping to connect to phone...
Please if some know some clues make me know!!!!

The AT commands worked for me. In putty, be sure to get "IMEI changed" as response, and check the number. If I remember, the IMEI is comma seppareted.

Hi, thanks for the reply!
Yes, finally the solution was simple, instead of using AT+EGMR command I use AT%IMEI=, that worked!!
can u solve it ?

FlashTool can't work with this phone. Instead, search here on XDA about flashing KDZ larger than 1Gb. Is an offline method.

I'm sorry, I make a mistake. My answer above was for another thread.
This method works with E455, just check the drivers and everything else again, and if possible, use a clean computer.
Again, sorry for my mistake.
still can't

still i can't flash my phone,
Thank you very much, I could not recover the phone all the time, the update always stuck to 4%. When this has helped me! Just when I launched the BAT extractor, it deleted all the contents of the parent folder.
I have two of the units mentioned in the thread title. One simply is stuck at the Alcatel logo after a reboot. I can get into the stock recovery, have done a factory reset (plus cache), but still just stuck at the logo. I've also popped it open and unplugged the battery (it's the attached kind), but still back at a logo after everything was back together.
I mentioned that I had two because the other one is working fine and available to use for a firmware dump. The issue I'm running into is that a cat /proc/mtd command returns no partitions (just blank) and there is no emmc on this unit. From what I've read, bad Chinese firmwares sometimes do not report out partition tables from mtd. So, all the guides I've found for using MTK Rom Studio, MTK Droid Tools, and SP Flash Tool don't work for me (at the moment) because I cannot produce a firmware.info or scatter file, due to mtd not populating the required info. Also, from what I gather, there is no firmware file available for this. I've tried using the Mobile Upgrade program from Alcatel, but it reports that the ROM is the most up-to-date and then quits. Yay.
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. I'm not desperate or anything; just hoping to get this one back working is all.

I'm not sure how to fix your device without knowing more about it. Is it possible you could provide the firmware dump of the one that is working? I was interested in using such to get a working TWRP recovery going for this model. With a working recovery, might be able to do more for your bricked unit.
I can provide some of the images - a noted exception is for the System partition, as I have already mucked with that one while doing my experimentation with my own.
If you already have the working one rooted, I would suggest just using dd and looking under /dev/devices/by-name (I think that is what it is called) which should provide you access to the partitions you need and what they are called.

Thanks for the reply. Let me see what I can do. This model is very odd, I have to admit. The fact that it does not use emmc, but instead mtd, yet a cat /proc/mtd produces nothing is baffling to me.

What you're trying to do is for older MTK phones....as in like everything not just the cat /proc/mtd.
What you have to do it make a backup of your working tab and flash the brick tab with the back up.

Alcutel pixi 3 (7) 4G 9007T tablet soft bricked
decided to play around with cleaning up the bloatware and Sprint installed junk on my Alcutel one touch pixi 3 (7) 4G 9007T tablet running originally android 5.1.1 , and ended up soft bricked stuck in a loop cycle of optimizing/staring apps, have scoured XDA and every other resource i have seen and for every device but this one there seems to be a fix, a stock rom, etc ,... one good thing is i am able to factory reset to at least enable debugging for adb access (though fastboot wont detect it) and hence cant get the device into a fastboot mode or unlock the loader.
Is there any compatible roms or recoveries out there for this particular device
Recovery <3e> Android L(not sure how to get a recovery log dump for providing more info)
I used nobloat app from google play had things pretty well cleaned up but thought to see how far i could go and i used the backup function in the app, but evidently i deleted something I shouldn't have and of course after trying a factorry rest the nobloat backup would be gone even if i could get botted back up)
after recovery I do get through the intitial setup, wifi, google account login etc,.. (using safemode) but if i use google backup files it gets to the loop fast, so i try to skip all that being restored, and am able to get to the settings to enable developer mode /debugging mode but once I exit that its a blank screen outside the clock showing then it reboots and keeps in the abov mentioned loop.
(as i mentioned adb detects the device but fastboot won't it just stuck on "waiting for any device"
I've already tried many apps, such as kingoroot, kingroot, one click root, framaroot, etc. i really need help. Thx in advance

Same issue here as well, nothing I try works on this phone, it's driving me insane.
EDIT: It's android 6, so you can't root the phone without a custom recovery.
WELP. So I just spent the past 2 days wasting my time on this god awful phone. I can't even access fastboot on this piece of crap, it comes up for 2 seconds and then disappears and no amount of "properly" installing usb drivers for it has helped. I even tried disabling driver signing and installing the drivers through adding legacy hardware. Nothing worked at all. So I thought I'd just install a custom recovery with sp flash tool. So I downloaded a stock rom for the vfd300 (my phone) from here: https://androidmtk.com/download-vodafone-stock-rom-models and ported TWRP using an ASUS Zenfone GO's TWRP.img.
Custom Recovery works fine, the phone does not. It is now stuck in a bootloop. Tried formatting everything (from TWRP) doesn't work. Tried flashing the rom again (even with the stock recovery) still stuck at bootloop, tried about 3 other vfd300 stock roms that people have uploaded to http://forum.gsmhosting.com and none of them have worked either. Currently downloading yet ANOTHER one and tbh I don't have high hopes. (EDIT: It didn't work)
Any help at this point would be appreciated.
Holy crispy crap it started............................. So I managed to find a working rom from (what appeared to be) some Vietnamese file hosting website .
You follow the instructions below at your own risk. No one is responsible for any damage done to your device but you.
I officially have root working on this device.
Now that I've done it, it's a surprisingly simple procedure. As I stated in the edit in my reply above, the VFD300 has Android 6 on it, which requires (afaik) a systemless root to be installed from recovery.
I ported the custom recovery from this thread (since the Z00VD has the same chip as the VFD) which you can download here.
Download the latest version of Chainfires beta SuperSU installer from this thread and transfer it to either your phones internal storage or SD card.
Also download a copy of SP Flash tool (if your fastboot works, use that instead). Finally, you will need this scatter file.
Unplug your phone from the computer and shut it down. Open SP Flash tool and click the download tab at the top.

}
Click "choose" next to the Scatter-loading file box and select the path to the scatter file you downloaded. IMPORTANT Make sure all boxes below except recovery are unchecked and select Download Only in the drop-down box. Double click on recovery in the Location column and point it to the custom recovery image you downloaded.
Click the Download button at the top and then plug your phone back in. The bottom bar will turn red, then purple, then yellow and once it is fully done flashing you will get a pop-up box with a green tick as confirmation.
Unplug your phone and reboot into recovery (Power+Vol-Up). In the custom recovery, select install, go to the directory you transferred Chainfires beta SuperSU.zip to, install it and reboot. TWRP will ask you if you want it to install root, DO NOT LET IT INSTALL ROOT. Your phone may loop a few times and can take up to 10 minutes to boot the first time, but it will be successfully rooted.
If you need a copy of the stock rom, download this one. If you want to flash this rom, make sure you use the scatter file in the roms archive and select firmware upgrade from the Download Only box on SP Flash Tool.
EDIT: I'm so sorry I borked the hyperlink order. Instead of linking to the scatter file I linked to the entire rom and vice versa with the stock rom link

Sounds like a boot loop. You need to download the stock rom (it should be about 700mb or so and in rar format). Once you've downloaded the stock rom, extract the archive to a folder somewhere (you will need something like 7zip or Winrar). Open SP Flash tool, load the scatter file from the extracted folder and make sure you select every box. There should be a check mark in each box. Change SP Flash tools dropdown box to firmware upgrade (by default it is on Download Only) and then flash it similar to how you did with the recovery (make sure you change the recovery to the custom one from above).
If my instructions aren't clear enough, I can do it again to my phone and take pictures of the entire process to make it easier to follow.

Yeah man! I've done that as well but had no luck .
1. I've enabled USB Debugging Mode and I've shut my phone down (NOTE: It has not been connected to the computer)
2. I opened the SP Flash tool and I clicked the download tab at the top
3. I then choose next to the scatter-file thing and have relocated it to the scatter file that I've downloaded from your link
4. ALL boxes are unchecked except recovery with download-only in the drop-down box
5. I've done the recovery image and everything and then...
6. I plug my phone in (Yes, it's completely shut down from step 1) with the USB cable and nothing shows up (Colored bars, tick etc.)
7. When I unplug it, an error comes up and then I'm completely stuck with no idea of what to do next
[UPDATE] - Does my phone have to be on the latest version?
Same problem
I'm having the same issue. I follow the instructions, phone off, press download, etc. I dont get any bars changing colours.
Did you manage to sort it out yet?
[update] managed to work it out. the MT65xx drivers werent installed properly. Use the instructions here (I cant post links!!! google: sp-flash-tool-mediatek-mt65xx-drivers-download-and-installation-guide-including-bricked-devices) to get them working first, make sure the battery is out of your phone and the main instructions in this thread work first time.

hi bro, i met the same issue.
I've done all the step successfully, and after i reboot my phone, it shows up with the logo of Vodafone, then a big circle became a smaller one, and then, the small circle runs endlessly.
I can go in recovery, but cannot boot the system.
I also did a memory test, got tow error
ERROR: NAND Flash was not detected!
ERROR: UFS was not detected!
I tried many times, and format whole flash and download all of them again.
it just doesn't work.
please help, thank you in advance.

Bro I got the EXACT same issue now because I accidentally installed Supersu through TWRP (which is pretty stupid because it was mentioned to AVOID the Supersu prompt when exiting TWRP). I've been stuck on bootloop for a couple of days now .

Bro, I accidentally installed Supersu when the prompt came up as I tried to exit TWRP. I know you said to NOT let it install, which was pretty stupid that I didn't read carefully what you wrote. Now I'm stuck in bootloop -_-.
Please help bro; I've tried flashing it to the stock rom, removing dalvik cache and everything etc. Nothing's working. Please help!
successfully got a rooted vfd 300

I was stuck in bootloop, but we don't share the same reason. I think there is something wrong with the rom above.
I found another rom, flash it, and problem solved, pretty simple. Now, I have a rooted vfd 300, even better than the stock rom, but you need to delete some app you don't like before you enjoy it.
you can find this rom by searching MT6580_S00_EMMC_MRA58K__6.0_VFD-300_Vodafone.zip

Vodafon VFD300 Firmware + TWRP + ROOT
As recommended above, Vodafon vfd 300 as a result of the phone turned on until the endless download -TWRP was not requested, sr1-SuperSU-v2.82 - sr120170608224931 and flash driver SP Flash Tool 3.1352.01 (5.1352.01) did not fit. I decided to solve the problem - the vfd 300 flashed through the firmware MT6580_S00_EMMC_MRA58K__6.0_VFD 300_Vodafone_356774071726533_08_19_2016_09_02_53 (1) (2), the flash driver SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1648_vin - the next way (remove the battery, hold the volume (-) until the end of the firmware, Download, connect the cable to the phone (the firmware will go to Emergency port about 8 minutes)
****************Next, we flash the TWRP - the flash driver SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1648_ the scatter and the TWRP are recommended - (MT6580_Android_scatter.Tht and
*Recovery-TWRP-VFD300.img) flashing.
**********We check TWRP (we clamp simultaneously ON-volume (+) release ON-opens TWRP.
**********Get Root rights ---- copy SR3-SuperSU-v2.79-SR3-20170114223742.zip to the phone folder, turn off the phone, go to TWRP find Install - SuperSu - Swaipe to instal - Dj not Install. All made happy, good luck. There will be questions [email protected]

7. When I unplug it, an error comes up and then I'm completely stuck with no idea of what to do next

you need to make sure you click download on flash tool then plug the usb in to phone and pc (also remember the battery has to be out of the phone for it to flash)
then you should see the red,yellow, green colours.
Hi all. I will be attempting to root my Vodafone VFD-300 tomorrow,after reading through the entire thread there seems to have been many issues with getting it done successfully. I also saw that it was suggested to provide step by step screenshots of the entire process. If anyone who managed to do the whole rooting with no problems could please do so again and provide us with the step by step screenshots,it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Flash v03, root and recover lost IMEI
I have the 6/64 version. I'll share my method with you. The only one that didn't stuck me in booting TWRP over and over again.
First, I used fastboot flash recovery recovery.img and immediately after fastboot flash boot boot.img . It's the only way I managed to escape the problem. Now, I flashed the ROM provided by them, linked in this post here #123 and I lost IMEI. I used chamelephon to insert IMEI and the IMEI is there but I can't get any signal. What to do?!
Later edit: that didn't work the second time I tried. Neither camelephon.
New method: The last thing I tried was also successful. So, I flashed the ROM they gave me (coolicool store), which you can find here. I selected "auto flash" and "except bootloader" options in SP Flash Tool, pressed "start" and let it on for 3 second and pressed "stop". Then I selected "format all+download", pressed download and connected my phone while holding VOLUME UP. I kept it pressed a few seconds after seeing the red bar getting to 100%. After flashing I started the phone and installed the latest version OTA, v04. After updating I flashed recovery by fastboot flash recovery recovery.img. Of course, I was stuck in booting in TWRP like every other time so I thought of recovering boot from a backup, and since I didn't have one of my own, I used the one provided by @dreambo found here (thanks dude). When I was prompted to select the items I want to recover, I thought of choosing only "boot", in order to restore boot, but I said why not try restoring "nvram" and "nvdata" too, maybe it will solve my other problem , the lost IMEI problem. And it worked.
I finally succeeded to restore my IMEI and boot, thanks to a recovery, which, now I see, is mandatory before every modification you implement on your phone. Especially when you don't have original ROM.
Sorry for the long post and I hope it comes in handy

I have a Maze Alpha X 64GB in which I can only see a black screen will not turn on at all. Only the red charging LED light turns on to say that the phone is charging and connected to the computer.
I have tried flashing the ROM in the link in your post in this thread but only receive BROM errors in the SP Flash Tool.
I have tried the second link full rom V03 6/64GB Rom Official Stock as well but this one does not have a Preloader so I cannot use this ROM to unbrick my phone as my phone will not turn on it needs a Preloader for the phone to turn on.
My phone is being detected by my computer as it makes a sound when connecting the USB cable and also shows up in the Device Manager. Have also tried another computer and tried another USB Type-C cable but only receive BROM errors in the SP Flash Tool.
I have also uninstalled and re-installed the latest Mediatek drivers.
Any ideas?
I'm pretty sure it does have a preloader, since I have used it twice to install with SPFlash Tools.

This ROM does not contain a Preloader:
full rom V03 6/64GB Rom Ofifcial Stock
That ROM would work if your phone is turning on. My Maze Alpha X does not turn on at all hence the need for a ROM that has a Preloader so that I can get the phone to turn on again.
I have tried the ROM in the first post in this thread I keep getting "could not get PMT info" error messages in the SP Flash Tool. That ROM has a Preloader included.
I have installed the Mediatek drivers that are on the Maze Mobile Download Center and have tried different computers with different USB Type-C cables with no luck. My Maze Alpha X is still dead and won't turn on only the red charging light turns on and stays on when connected to USB or Mains. The charging light does not go green to show that the phone is fully charged even if the phone has been plugged in for 6 to 8 hours.
Any ideas?
Don't use the one provided by OP. Use the one I got from Maze, it's complete. Download here, it's the official version. I haven't tested the one provided by OP, but the one posted by me here is the one that works. You will find a folder named 18-02-06... and inside one named R14. There you will find all the files needed, including preloader. I have to warn you, though, you will lose IMEI by flashing it ( I don't know why) and the method to restore it is quite complicated, but I wrote it above. Good luck restoring your phone!

I have tried that link just now downloaded and installed everything properly followed the instructions to a tee but still get the same errors.
I have installed the Drivers that came with the ROM that you have given to me which like you said are official directly from Maze but this has not made a difference for my Maze Alpha X 64GB.
I tried flashing with the Maze Alpha Flash Tool but just receive a DA error:
I tried flashing with the SP Flash Tool but receive a failed to get PMT info error:
Any Idea as to what I am doing wrong here or is my phone just hard-bricked?
I have noticed that on SPFT you selected "firmware upgrade". You should use "format all and download". Maybe this fixes your problem. I am not that much of a techie but I hope you will solve your problem.

Hey everyone,
I think my non-rooted phone is stuck in a bootloop (device keeps connecting and disconnecting after every few seconds while connected to the PC via USB). I searched for a way to get a clean ROM install on it using SP Flash Tool (found a guide on GetDroidTips), but whenever the SP Flash Tool starts downloading, it gives me "STATUS_DA_HASH_MISMATCH" error. Does anybody know what might be causing this and what the error itself might mean?

Hi , i thing that firmware is wrong maybe is for the same device but for example your device has 16GB internal memory but another device with same model has 8 gb of internal storage and that way this error come up.
So what you can try here is :
1. Find Global version for your device with latest firmware if you can find.
2. Put your phone in to the charge for about 2-3 hours to make sure that battery is charged.
3. Uninstall all drivers for your device by using USBDeview (scroll down for download links)
https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.html
To uninstall your drivers for device just open the tool , find the your driver for device , right click on it and click on uninstall.
4. Reset COM Ports , and once you reset reboot your PC .
To do that see this post : https://superuser.com/questions/408976/how-do-i-clean-up-com-ports-in-use
5. Reset Windows Defender status to default.
Here you have one example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5t6ES_Py8lU
6. Disable antivirus or malware protection temporary.
7. Try to use old version of SP Flash Tool like one of v5.1xxx .
For example :
https://spflashtools.com/windows/sp-flash-tool-v5-1452
or
https://spflashtools.com/windows/sp-flash-tool-v5-1548
or try with latest version:
https://spflashtools.com/windows/sp-flash-tool-v5-1904
10. Run SP Flash tool with Administrator.
11. Make sure to have this checked inside SP flash options:
-Open Sp Flash tool , go to Options :
Connection - USB ( check USB speed to "High speed" , Battery to "auto detect")
Download - Check "DA DL All with Checksum" and also "Storage checksum" if you have those.
12. Try to just hold Power button while is flashing , once is finish release the power button.
13. Try to flash with disabled driver signature.
To do that follow this post:
https://www.howtogeek.com/167723/ho...8.1-so-that-you-can-install-unsigned-drivers/
14. If the problem is still there , try on another PC or with another version of System (Windows) ....
Good Luck

Massive thank you for taking the time to reply . I was about to jump straight to finding windows 7. I'd done most of those but haven't done vthe usbdeview or couple of hers. I'll try it all in sequence later and let others know :good:
UPDATE
TOK so an update. The problem is still happening after all the steps. I've tested on a windows 8 machine and the same error code is appearing. I'll try it on 7 later though.
As some backstory to mine is my phone entered a bootloop on Friday. It was running low on storage, about 8gb free of 128gb, during the bootloop I tried the power+volume keys to "battery pull" it which rebooted the phone back to normal. Shortly after the screen appeared low-res (like it was a much older screen) and then shut off and hasn't been on since.
The red LED shows when powering, with no screen activity, the phone connects to the computer and is read as a mediatek device. Holding the power down button for around 15 seconds with the device plugged into a wall charger makes the red LED go off then back on (not a flashing led though), and when doing the same while plugged in to a pc it connects like it was just plugged in.
My phone is a Umidigi S2 Pro (only one model for it instead of different size memories etc), the firmwares have been the official ones from the Umidigi S2 Pro roms page including the other tools which is where I flashed the stock Nougat ROM from last year so those should be fine (I'll post links if that's allowed on XDA-developers?). For some stupid reason Umidigi allowed a 3rd party to develop a UmiOS version of Android and used Efuse to restrict it's rooting ability, however this didn't stop the flashing of the 2 update ROMS before.
The code displayed in SP flash tools is M6575D if that's a known trouble one?
Hm , strange maybe the image files from stock firmwares is larger or small and sp flash tool can't verify hach ...
this :
Try with this version of SP Flash tool: https://spflashtools.com/windows/sp-flash-tool-v5-1828 also use checksum from stockfirmware . And make sure that all is checked inside SP Flash tool .
But this way do like this:
- Run SP Flash Tool with Administrator.
- Load full firmware inside SP Flash tool.
- Set Option " Download Only " check just preloader and click Start .
- Now connect your phone with USB 2 ports and see what is happening .
- If the flash is done load now full firmware again and uncheck just preloader.
Let me know if you got fixed .
Good Luck
ERROR: STATUS_STOR_EXHAUST (0xC003001D)
ERROR: STATUS_STOR_EXHAUST (0xC003001D)
The storage in your device has reached end of life, please change to use new device to do operations.
ANY SOLUTION TO THIS???? TRYING TO FLASH TECNO CAMON CX.....
- Set Option " Download Only " just check preloader and click Start .
I learned something new, after investigating this is done to flash the preloader, and fix
STATUS_DA_HASH_MISMATCHIt gives that error because the preloader is flooded/bricked. there is an incorrect hash code/mismatching code between the Brom , preloader in the scatter, and the DA.
After properly unlocking SLA, DAA(Being in Brom mode), fixing the preloader, using the right DA, right Scatter file, this code should match, and the error disappears.
(Flashing the rest of the Rom without preloader becomes possible on the 2nd run)
Thank you for teaching @Teddy Lo
This error wont exist in the future, won't be relevant. But it teaches us about the function of preloader, super data, data, and hash codes.
