You are probably right. However it didn't do this before I factory reset. I just recently started using the v10 it is my old phone. I was using my nexus 6 but sold it a few days ago. Its been so long since I have rooted this thing that I completely forgot how lol.

Insufficient space on the device?

Hey guys ,
Just in the last couple of days I haven't been able to download it update any apps. I get the error message in the subject line, without the question mark obviously.
Anyone know what would cause it? I have a ton of space. Rooted stock and I unfroze the bloat and cleared caches and no dice.
??
Thanks!

I received this error a few times when in GB 2.3.5 didn't get yet with 2.3.6
The only way I found to get rid of this was restoring the system (factory reset).
Weird hum?

Very weird! Factory reset it is.
hmm, so I did a data wipe/factory reset in CWM and it didn't work to fix the problem. Did you do it from the settings menu?
Otherwise I guess I'll try flashing a rom...

Yep. Did from stock recovery and worked. We may have diferent devices. Try a factory reset from phone. If do not work I guess you'll have to flash it.
Luck!

Nope, I have no idea what's causing it. I guess I'll have to revert back tonight and start fresh.

Stuck after encryption

Hi
For some reason my phone does not boot after inserting the password. It is stuck at the green/black android man screen. Suggestions?
Why would you encrypt your device anyway? Unless your hiding something top secret from a specific government, theirs really no need for it. If you can get into recovery try wiping data/factory reset. If that doesn't work then your going to have to flash back to stock.

I wiped/reset everything and yet its still encrypted. I have my reasons for encryption

Well if your cheating on your wife or girlfriend stop it! else theirs really no need to encrypt your device, their are some 100,000,000,000,000,000 different combinations for a pin code, if you've already wiped data then your gonna have to flash back to stock.

already tried flashing, still keeping the encryption and i'm not cheating lol.

Well if you've tried flashing, wiping data/factory reset then I dunno what else to suggest....but seriously, if the encryption is gonna cause this trouble all the time, you'd be better off with a pin like everyone else.

True, although I just realized i didn't try flashing with Odin to stock so i'll go download the stock rom now and report back. Silly me

I got AES based encryption on numerous partitions on my HDD. I use it to encrypt my browser storage and other stuff so I figured encrypting my phone would make sense too, just the internal and not the SD-Card. The performance from encrypting was terrible! I figured for such a powerful phone it would handle it well on the fly, NOPE.
Sluggish. Or at least it was with Omega.

Nothing a pin can't handle bud, but flash LG8 (that way you can go to CM10 or any AOSP rom straight away, as well as Samsung based roms i.e omega, hyperlight)

Fixed. Going back to stock brought the encryption PW back up but this time it was accepted and bypassed the non loading screen. Once accessed all the old apps were there so I can backup and reflash back to Omega without much data loss. The encryption must really lock down the partition.

Unroot P769?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew a method to unroot the phone. You see, I rooted it thinking I would probably use it for a while. However.....turns out it has a hardware defect. While discharging, the phone will randomly shut off during long periods of inactivity.
So I need to turn it in to LG for warranty repair. But I've already factory reset the phone and SuperSU is still there. I've tried using the built-in removal for SuperSU and it's still there. I've tried using Root & Restore, it cannot find the device, so it's still there.
Anyone know a method to remove it before I turn it in? Or would it be ok to turn it in with SuperSU installed/disabled?

I would send as is. It will be reflashed anyway. Rooting doesn't affect hardware.
Did you use this method to root? Because you you should be able to unroot it as well.

Thanks, you're probably right. I just didn't want them to flat out deny it based upon SuperSU being there.

Tried, no luck. Though it probably doesn't help that I had some odd problems while rooting.....yet it still worked. I forget what exactly happened though.
1) Backup all apps and data in LG PC Suite.
2) Format internal memory from CWM. Hard Reset the Phone and Flash any latest official KDZ.
And you are back to fresh factory stock.
3) Restore apps and data with LG PC Suite if you wish.

When you flash unrooted KDZ, it wipes out recovery (cwm) with no trace. At least this happens on our P765 , P760.

Finally Rooted, but now what can't I do now?

Well I got root via jcase method, but haven't unlocked bootloader, which means no cwm
So what all should I be careful of?
I know back on the Optimus V that If you root you can no longer factory reset, is that the same case here?

You can install CWM recovery without having an unlocked bootloader.
Factory resets will go fine as long as all pre-installed system apps/bloatware are still intact.
Thanks I just installed cwm a few min ago, as for bloatware imma backup via Titanium Backup.
So correct me if I'm wrong, but all I would have to do is restore all bloat before I fact reset. (I shouldn't have to anytime soon)

A better option is to use the disable bloat script. It is located at /system/etc/disable_tmus_packages.sh. You can read about it here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2114222 Just use s-manager to run it at boot, and you can still factory reset and get OTA no problem.

Do you want Live Wallpapers (animations) or just the regular ones? Or any? xD
If I update a system app and then integrate it into system will factory reset still work?

Reset to factory defaults without unrooting device?

Hey all,
I had a quick question about the reset function on the phone.
I'm having problems with a few apps just crashing outright and not working. I figured I'd just like to start from scratch but I don't want to have to root again if I can avoid it...
Plan of action so far is use HTC's own factory default reset, install HD Revolution 41 (Kit Kat) and then restore app data from Titanium Backup.
Is there a way to do all of this without having to reroot the device?
Flashing custom roms never requires root, they come rooted. Read the stickies

Thanks for the reply... I never said however that they do require rooting. I'm saying that my device is already rooted and would like to reset without unrooting...
It wouldn't matter. Custom roms come rooted.
