Hi guys,
My desire 630 back camera is somehow broken. I have called up HTC and they say that warranty doesn't cover physical damage.
Can somebody explain what my options are here to get it repaired or fixed for cheap ?
Can i use any other HTC phones back camera as a replacement for this?
I am not able to upload screenshot because of the 10 post limit but if anybody want to look i can send a pm.

Not possible..to replace different camera..in HTC device you need original support camera
lens
its just the outer lens that got cracked .Not the inside camera.

I bought a HD2 with a broken touch screen, I ordered a replacement, put it in but it didn't work.
I soldered it and no connections touch eachother (tested with a multimeter).
do I have to close my HD2 completely before testing it out or something?

Yea of course please tell me you didn't try it with the screen of if so you may of screwed it up more
The device was off when I replaced it if that is what you mean By closing it I meant putting it back together, but I tried that with no positive results.
So any solutions?
buy a new one or buy selling the parts you have or keep them and buy a new one.
So what do you think the problem is?
Bump, does anybody have an idea on why it doesn't work? I really want to fix this phone so I can upgrade from a htc magic

Have you done this before? I mean replaceing the touch screen on a HD2? Did You follow all instructions?
After month of using Ace I found bad pixel on my screen
What's even worst is that it's in the middle of the screen and I can see it all the time. Did install Dead Pixel Detect to confirm this and unfortunately it is there.
Does anyone know if repair center will give me new one or at least change the screen on this one?
It depense of your warranty... But for me, I know that they will give me a new one if I have this problem.

I'll contact my warranty service and ask them about it, but I'm worried that they might want to change the screen and I don't want that.
After they changed screen and digitizer in my i900(I had white dot from overheating and poor digitizer - common problems with i900) it had specks of dust between the screen and the touch layer.
Hopefully they will give me new one. I'll keep you posted on my situation, maybe it'll be helpful to some

I somehow broke my Nexus 5 in my pocket today. The side buttons still work and it functions normally (gets messages, updates) but the touch screen doesn't work. I was researching possible solutions to fix it. I am wondering if anyone knows if my particular situation can be fixed. What kind of replacement package should i get if i can get one?

Might wanna try the Nexus 5 subforum
Somehow i damaged the motherboard of my phone , 2months ago , Service center authorities in Dehradun are not sure if it will work or not after replacing it.
can someone provide me if they've broken their phone? ? . And if not can i recycle the camera hardware cause its 16mp shooter and I don't wanna throw it in throw it in garbage
No, you can't recycle the 16MP shooter.
Actually, you can, but the chances are very less or next to zero to find a phone whose software and hardware both can support the same camera as the G4+.
One thing that can be done is, if anyone has broken their screen or any other part of their phone except the motherboard, you can get that device and replace the broken parts on that device with your device.

Dude u can have my phone only for 5K
There's not even 1 scratch on camera
And no cracks or anything... Phone is as good as new...
I'm buying a new device... If u want u can take my device for 5K
