Hey guys I wonder if it is possible to save twrp backup of a rom in a pc in order to get more free on sd or internal!
Just transfer the backup on PC. If you want to restore your backup then transfer it back on your phone.

Before I change the firmware on my phone. How do I save a copy of my existing stock firmware to my PC please? .... Or is this step not necessary before updating with different firmware? And why?
just create a nand backup, then copy that backup to your computer for safe keeping just in case you need it some time later.
EDIT: or just use titanium backup to backup all user and system data, which will be stored on the SD card and not erased during an update. so you can restore from it to a new firmware and get all your data back.
Ok. so i was thinking about installing some custom roms and using them for a few days weeks to see how they perform but i was wondering what the best way to back up my apps/data and contacts would be so they can easily be restored after i have installed a new rom.
I dont have a memory card for my phone so i just have the 16gb internal memory so if i use an app that saves the backup to my phone would i just transfer the backup data from my phone to pc then after i have factory reset/wiped the cache and dalvik and intalled the rom put the backup file back on?
Also is there anything i NEED to back up on the phone or is it just the stuff i want like app data and contacts?
Thanks.
titanium backup
thank you.
Because i will be factory reseting the phone before i install the new rom will i need to move the titanium backup from my phone to computer?
will the reset and wipe delete the backup?
Use as said titanium for data and apps and gmail for contacts sync. You can copy the titanium files to your computer just in caseto be safe.

Just remember that if you wipe sd and you don't have external, then you won't have a Rom to flash to so you will be left with choice of either pushing the zip to sd with ADB, or flashing stock/rerooting/cwm/etc
R: Best way to backup?
Yeah man try to keep it simple...
just make a full backup with titanium backup pro (set backup folser to external sd card or just move the backup to the sd card when its done) it will require a lot of space if u had a lot of apps...
Flash all you want and put the new rom on the phone.
Then remember to have the titanium backup apk ready on your sdcard to be installed when ure done setting up the new rom(or go get it back off the play store if you wish), then install titanium and restore from the backup folder...simple

1. Titanium Backup
2.Carbon
3.My Backup Pro
4.Nandroid backup from recovery if you ever want to go back to an old rom.
I installed a custom ROM and accidentally deleted my backup file. Is it possible to recover it? I tried "Undeleter for Root Users" but it doesn't find the backup file. My device (Xiaomi 2S) has a virtual SD card, so I can't put it in a computer. I'm pretty sure the phone use MTP because Recuva doesn't work.
Hi guys... I have a quick question..
I want to make a nandroid backup before I try a custom rom, so i can simply restore my backup if i dont like the rom.
I only have about 1.8GB left on my internal storage... I dont have an external sd card right now.
The backup size is about 2.8GB... so I am 1GB short...
My question is, if I backup System and Boot as first batch, then transfer the file to my PC to free up my phone again, then backup Data as 2nd batch and transfer that to my PC again..... now once I want to restore my backup, will those 2 batches of restore process work or not? Im not sure if a nandroid backup needs to be a single file only.... Im out of storage capacity that's why splitting the backup is my only option
thanks in advance!
