how much storage available after installing coustom rom? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

recently i have installed aosp AEX official rom, and i observed that in available 10 gb internall memory, it has consumed 4.4 gb for system.
so, i would like like to ask if any one tried this rom just post here about how much internal memory is consumed for your system. And if possible share your screen shots thank you.

Redmi note 3 consumes for about 4 gb for /system and rest for your personal storage.
i.e if you install OS other than miui it will consume much less space but if you install miui os it will consume 3.5 gb approximately and miui is heavily bloated.

That is the full amount of RAM. The system reserves the remainder for the GPU.

Xiaomi redmi note 3 Kate variant questions

Hi everyone I hope everything is going great ...
I just want to know why there is a limited custom roms for the Kate version. And is there any thing to do to move apps to SD card ...
And is there any kernels that work good to the Kate variant . I am speaking about the 2 GB RAM device .
Every ROM that works for Kenzo also works for Kate. In some cases you will need to flash Kate firmware before flashing a Kenzo ROM.
Apps cannot be moved to SD card anymore. It was Google's decision. Some apps will allow you to save data on your SD card (like navigation apps, music or video apps).
You have to find out which kernel suits you best. It depends whether you prefer battery life or performance and which features are important for you.
Thanks man

Hardware requirements for upgrading to a new android version

I just wanted to know that what are the hardware requirements to upgrade to a new android version , lets say lollipop..
My phone has 4gb interñal memory and 780mb ram , is that enough to run lollipop (im running on kitkat now) , If yes than how much memory will be left after upgrading to lollipop?
It's not hardware matters, as long as latest ROM available for your device, then go for it. If you're mentioning stock rom, it depends on your manufacturer that releasing firmware upgrade or not.
May I ask what are you trying to achieve?

I don't think that's how it works, System partition different each device, it's not fixed. Idk, but usually it takes 20-30% of internal storage for system partition.
Moreover, unless you already altered your system partition, you shouldn't worry about that.. Lets rom handle system partition automatically. Another option you can use external sdcard for extra storage, I admit 4gb is to small for int storage.

[Firmawe] Firmware size - STF-L09

Hello dear Community,
I am wondering that the size of the Firmware (Memory&Storage > Firmware) is 12,67 GB large.
Is that the case in any of the STF-L09 Models with the latest updates?
This seems to me as a huge waste of the available storage, since I am using two SIM Cards.
Is there any way to reduce this size?
I would be grateful for any confirmation or reply.
Thanks, Veduuu
Yes, system takes a lot of space, it's normal
Thanks for the confirmation!
My old 2nd gen Moto G uses around 3,5 GB for system files and necessary apps with LineageOS. I am just wondering what the additional 9 GB is used for in a Honor 9.
How big is Firmware size running a custom ROM (e.g. LineageOS for Honor 9) ?
Thanks in advance

Custom ROMs take less than the Stock Firmware (EMUI)

Anyone tried this on 1gig ram version ?
I tried in my 1gb version ... But bad news, the device stopped n the start screen (the first, static mi.com screen/i wait 4 20m), try with TWRP 3.2.1.0 and 3.2.1.1 (firmware 9.2.5.0). The installation is very fast for a file of this size (30 to 40 seconds), and apparently the system partition stay in the original size,1GB. I'll try again, download the image again.

What are the differences between this beta and the last released official beta for Redmi 2? If you don't mind me asking Buddy. Do we get new recents along with other added features?
Is there any chance that you will pick up MIUI 10 for a release? Thanks in advance!

Bro is this with the global stable? Or you tried both? Cause the beta is what I tried. The battery backup is good, but have a problem with slowing down at random and I haven't tried even the slightest gaming. After 2 Antutu runs, the GPU score comes in at 600 and the phone gets hot. Whilst Oreo roms manage 1100 and Nogat Dot Os and viper manage 1500-1600 with Zetsubou. There I go rambling again, I meant to ask, is your usage better with the 9.5 stable? (if that's what you tested) And how is it looking on Antutu? If you don't mind sharing.
