Ok so I could not wait for a stand and did not want to go put $$ down on something that was not perfect fitting for the Gtab.
I have lots of tools and wood, so here is my 15min $0 Gtab stand.
I used a piece of scrap PERGO flooring from when I did my kitchen that matches the wood on my desk and it has a foam underside built on to it for no scratches.
I have felt pads in the corners where the tablet touches.
Tab sits at a 45 degree angle. I already have ideas for a adjustable version as well that may swivel.
it has my my enjoyment of the gtab better.

So its a stand, not a dock. Oh.
Very nice. I wish I was that crafty with wood.

You are correct and I stand corrected. it is more of a stand at this point. It could turn into a dock down the road if the one viewsonic makes is not up to my standards I guess.
Thanks for pointing out my mistake, it has been updated.
Very nice, I was thinking about something like this, but much smaller. Something like a kickstand on the device with rubber feet, not sure why they didn't build something in for using with keyboard, but I guess that is what their dock will be for.
Here is my Lego stand. I actually made it for my EVO but the Gtab fits as well.

Ahh the Joy of Legos... I gave my 5 yr. old son, who reminds me he is 12 yrs. old in Lego years, my ZT-180 tablet with a Lexar 32GB USB disk loaded with 19 hours of 'Star Wars the Clone Wars' episodes... and sure enough I found him watching it on the floor while playing Lego with Star Wars characters and he had incorporated the tablet into his 'Command Ship' that he was building...
He used a LOT more pieces to hold his tablet up
I don't know if my son would let me have the lego pieces to build that, I would have to fight him for them!
I saw a video on youtube of a guy using a wooden plate stand, like a tripod. He got it for $10 at some store, probably WM or Target. Submitter was ehunyadi

This is really the best cheap stand... I used to use one when I had my GenTouch.
Mine was black and actually looked really slick... I'm sure you could find a variety at any thrift store. Found mine layin around the house somewhere.
i bought a stand and it just came in. it works nicely and it was only 7 bucks
You can also use a business card holder from an office supply store. The metal mesh ones work good because they do need a slight bend in the top to add stability.

Where did you get that? That's perfect for the car seeing as I drive like 5-6 hours a day.
I still like mine...

I know I posted my quick stand on slatedroid, but not sure about here. One more time:

You can also adjust the angle of the tablet by drilling a few more holes in the base closer to the slot. If you dont have the tools for the slot, just glue a strip of wood where the slot is. Simple!
what's point of tablet if you are going to use it like laptop?

Love the LEGO Stand!
Awesome stand! You got any schematics for the build? ;P Really awesome I'm seriously considering building one, oh and getting Lego for my son too.
Good job!!! I may have to try this out myself. For now I bought a picture frame holder from amazon that works quite well.
I found some bookends and bent them to a certain angle for my g-tablet.
Now have to hunt for the case and the Anti-Glare SP.
Not too shabby.
That looks nice! Paint it flat black and you have a nice stand!
I need something like that, I was thinking of asking one of my coworkers to weld me a stand with thin steel bars to my dimensions.. Though this looks easier to make.

Just saw your bookend stand and dug through my closet. Happened to have brand new black 6" bookend that works perfect. Thanks for posting the idea, saved me some money!
I found this bad boy at Michael's for $3.99. What I like about it is that it is infinitely adjustable, so you can position the G-Tab upright, or lean it way back to make it easier to type with both hands. It also folds pretty much flat, and can easily fit inside the $5.99 Sears case. Bought two, one for home, one for the road.

Thanks for the tip, I did the same (a old bookend) and I am very happy with it. now, I can use the G-tab as a 10 inch picture frame at work as well (just make sure turn off the auto-shut off feature for the screen + plugin AC power).
Hey All,
I purchased a nice carrying case for my GTablet. I made a video review of the case. Check it out:

Its made by SOLO and I got it at staples for $20. Pretty neat!

Good find! (And better than the stinky Sears case, which still reeks after a week...) Going to have to brave Staples(mall) tomorrow and see if I can nab one... beats waiting for Amazon to ship me a Kindle DX case which may or may not fit nicels...
Pretty decent video, although I will admit to only watching about half of it... just wanted to see the basics...
I found a nice one in the travel store at the mall for only like $10. I think it was sold as a case for 10-11 inch netbooks. The brand was room.it.up
This is for anybody who might like something more fun and, admittedly, girly. But I know some here get the tablets for their wife, gf, daughter, etc.
The leather case you showed is very professional looking, and at $20 I think is a great price for that style.

Yikes! Their website says $32 now... not such a great deal any longer I'm afraid...
I'll have to check it out in a store and see if it's still $20 in store or if you just stumbled across a pre-Christmas sale that just ended maybe...
I too had this case when i first got my tab along with several others... I loved it first but after a couple of days you will start to notice it will loosen up and may not be as tight. Hopefully yours works out, keep the receipt handy just in case.

Ditto on this, I bought it and it was great for a couple days till the elastic that holds the tab in losens up.
other minor issues with it. if you use the elastic in all 4 corners, the band on the top left will often depress the power button. Gave me a drained battery surprise one time.
The elastic in the bottom left will often cover the headphone jack, so it's a nuisance to move it to plug in headphones.
and after a while the elastic in the right corners loosens, and that makes the tablet often flop out of the top corner and fall over.
Still it's s decent and readily-available case solution until better is available
Good find and thanks for posting a video on it.
Don't want to hijack, but found a decent Budget Case - Picked up a Case Logic case on sale in my local Office Depot for $5. It is a simple sleeve case, but seems to be well made. Cordura type nylon with some leather accents. Very well padded. Plan to find a notebook style case for daily use, but this one will be good for transport.
Can't find it on their site, so not sure if it on sale everywhere. Also can't post links yet, but if you google 'Case Logic VLS110 7-10" Mini Laptop Sleeve' you'll find pics.
some wholesalers at work use ipads w/ a case that doubles as a stand.. looks very clean and sturdy.. anyone see one of these somewhere for the g-tablet? saw another thread where they were trying to do a group buy for something similar but the pictures made it look a little cheap.. thoughts?

I got a case at Staples. $24.00 SOLO Style LVL106-3 H10 MFG #S25. Works great and able to use when charging device.
I got this case at office depot for $5. Super nice padding.

So I had this old swiss army slim vertical messenger bag that I got from target years ago for $20. It was used to lug maps, water, and camera while touring italy, but now re purposed to lug my new gtab. I also picked up an even smaller one from Ross for $9 the other day. Both have 2 large main compartments with the smaller front compartment full of little pockets, clips, and zippered areas for nicknacks. The cool thing about this new man bag is that the rear compartment is actually padded (it didn't say it was for netbooks or anything) and it fits the gtab like a glove - like it was specifically made for it...

That's a good looking bag. Not as much "man-bag-esque" as some of the other bags I've seen folks here posting. When I need a bag I've been using my Targus CityGear Netbook Bag.
On my last trip to Italy 3 years ago I got my wallet pick-pocketed while exiting a subway car in Rome. I knew the moment I stepped onto the walkway that my wallet was gone. Ended up wasting a whole day on the phone with my credit card companies to cancel the cards and to have them express ship replacements to me in Florence and then dealing with my bank to wire me cash. It sucked. That event forever tainted Italy for me. Since then I've avoided Italy like a rash and instead enjoyed the rest of western europe.
That's a good bag too. I tend to like the more vertical ones because they stick out less and you don't bump people as much in crowded situations, but you have to dig down further to get little stuff at the bottom. That sucks about loosing your stuff. We had been warned about pick pockets and used those slim necklace wallets that you wear under your shirt for money, credit cards, passports, etc and a cheap decoy wallet with monopoly money in my back pocket. I guess we looked like bums, cause no one stole it...
I've been using a Timbuk2 D-Lux Messenger bag for the last several weeks. It's a little bit pricey (about $90) but it is made in the USA, and it feels REALLY solid. On top of that, it has all kinds of cool features, like a cinch clip for the strap, so you can easily tighten the strap up so it's not constantly bouncing off your backside, and a retainer strap that goes around your side, so it stays in place on a bike. I keep my G-Tablet, some big Sennheiser can headphones (I'm an audio technician), snacks, pens, extra cables, etc. in mine.
Here's a link: (Mine is the black/grey/lime scheme)
http://www.amazon.com/Timbuk2-Strip...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1303417129&sr=1-1
Edit: Mine is the small size, which still has a decent sized main compartment. The laptop slot is where I keep the G-Tab, and there is plenty of room for it there, since it is designed for a 13" laptop.

I have the Targus bag mentioned above and I like it. It holds the G-Tab perfectly and has a second compartment for a book or papers as well as other pockets. It works well and is inexpensive. Not the most stylish though.

Where did you get the Ross $9 bag ? Can you post a link. I'm assuming that is the one that fits the Gtab like a glove?
Sorry, I don't have a link to the one at Ross. My local store just happened to have it next to a bunch of discontinued computer bags and iPad cases for $8.99
this is a better picture of it when fully stuffed, but I certainly saved a lot by rummaging through Ross...

This is what I use for my man purse:
http://www.irvsluggage.com/David-King-Distressed-Leather-Laptop-Messenger-Bag-Brown/DK-B-6111
Pricey, but I love the distressed leather look, and it's extremely sturdy.
I also have the Targus bag mentioned above, works great and lots of room for other stuff. I originally bought it for my gateway netbook, which is now for sale since I love my gTab so much
still a man-purse if I'm not a man? ... yes, I think so.
I am using a "FINATEX EXTRA SMALL - Multimedia Vertical Messenger" from Tucano, and really like it.
The padded and fuzzy-lined pocket fits the naked gtab well. (If cased, would fit fine in un-lined area.)
Very slim bag, but I can squeeze a cased kindle 2 in there also in a pinch.
Standout feature: handles earphone cord to an mp3 player extremely well.
tucanousa.com/PhotoDetails.asp?ShowDESC=N&ProductCode=BFITXS-C
Pros:
+ very slim vertical form
+ quality materials, well constructed, excellent stitching
+ earphone cord from mp3 pocket snakes up inside strap
+ I thought the $35 price was good in light of the quality & 'look'
+ available in black, coffee, or red (the red struck me as more feminine) all the same size, despite the confusing descriptions on the website.
Cons:
- smaller zippered area has only the small mp3 pocket to help organize the slim vertical space. no other pockets or loop attachments for wallet, keys, pen, etc. can be a bit awkward/snug since it's only accessible from the top.
- slim flat shape does not accommodate bulky items well. (However, the charging brick fits fine, especially if I un-clip the plug.)
This is not a 'kitchen sink' bag by any means, but is excellent for carrying the essentials... including the gtab of course!
By way of example... what's in my bag today:
1. large zippered section has room to spare: gtab, lens-cloth in pouch, (no charging brick today...)
2. small zippered section is fairly full with: wallet, 3x5"-ish moleskin notebook, cell phone (in mp3 pocket), house key, random girl-stuff
3. water bottle holder is clipped to the external loop. my giant supplemental keyring clips here too on the rare day I need to carry it.

Love the look of this! And thinking leather might be the way I want to go. Is it too big for the gtab? I want a serious man purse that fits my gtab and a few other odds and ends (phone, portable charger, hdmi cord, pens).
http://www.irvsluggage.com/David-King-Distressed-Leather-Unisex-Bag-Brown/DK-B-6452
- Wondering if this one would be big enough. Hoping to go check it out in person as this website looks to have stores in my area!
I went w/ a folio case w/ a built in stand and that $5 neoprene case that was at target or something. Folio cases are the way to go.
Man Purse for GTab
It's A Satchel!
I have an old bag that used to hold a now non-functional cordless screwdriver case that fits the Gtab well. Not nearly as nice as some of those listed here but the price was right and it does the job. It is certainly "manly" enough with the "Black and Decker" logo emblazened on the side. Haha.
Man Purse, LOL.
amazon.com/gp/product/B0014LTYQK
Just got this for an upcoming trip. Fits the GTab like a glove. Handy side pocket works great for my G2.
I've loved this topic. I ended up getting the Swissgear bag with a sling type strap from Target. It fits the Gtab perfectly. I'm using it as a purse (I'm not a man) and on days I want to take the tab with me, I just slide it in the back zippered pocket and take it on the go,
Bought this on ebay for almost $15 here's a link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...6568&ssPageName=ADME:L:eek:C:US:3160#shpCntId
Hoping it'll be a good deal case looks decent. It looks like it'll protect my note 3 well. To bad I've dropped it once :-\ and have to wait till Friday to get the case. Just got it and few marks on the silver parts, silly me for leaving the phone on my pants and leaving car. The phone hit the cement :'(. Ah well you live and learn first time any real damage to any of my phones. I baby them and usually have a case on them really quick for this exact reason.
Anyways I might make a video review or just post pictures of it all with the final review of it. Should be a decent deal or so I hope. I'm more looking forward to the case, belt holster, screen protector, fishbone cord winder, and the headphone splitter though the last two will probably useless. Rest of the stuffs just bonus i guess will be useless but still nice free bee's, like the headphones I'm sure they're crap but i always end up washing all the ones i buy anyway.
Here's a list of included things:
1 x Belt Clip Holster Case Cover For Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N9000
1 x Screen Protector
1 x Microfiber Cloth
1 x Application Card
1 x Black Stylus Pen
1 x USB Cable.
1 x Car Charger (Micro USB,only use for battery charging ,can not data transfer )
1 x Earphone
1 x Earphone splitter cable (1 in 2 out).
2 x Ear Caps.
1 x Fishbone Shape Earphone Cord Winder
Wish me luck and Hopefully you find this info useful
Looks like a bunch of junk except for the case, but I hope it works out well for you. Let us know how it goes.
Yea i figure everything but the belt clip and case will be pretty much junk but for almost $15 extra crap can't hurt ($15 case for this phone that is lolz samsung ones seem so expensive 30-60$ range). I'm sure everyone else has the other crap lying around collecting dust. Which will probably happen for me to only things I can see I'll most likely use is the splitter the headphones and possibly the pen if it feels better than the s-pen. Seeing it might be a little bit bigger and more comfortable in the hand possibly.
I actually have that case w/o the other crap and it's great.
