Simply put, here's what I would like:
Have a widget somewhere on my screen. Whenever I wake up and start my day, I click it. It starts the following sequence:
Pops up a notification/alert to eat a specific thing
timer for X minutes
another notification to eat specific thing
timer for x minutes
another notification
etc etc I think you get the picture. Basically I want to be able to program any number of countdown timers in consecutive order with each timer starting when the last reaches zero.
These are not time of day based actions necessarily, but rather time elapsed from whenever it is I got up based, hence the manual initiation of the sequence by way of a button/widget. If I got up at 6am every single day then I would just set alarms for say every 3 hours all day every day, but my schedule is not that consistent.
I'm sure there is an app that does this or a way to automate it, but I cant figure it out.
any thoughts? thanks
I think this is a decent idea if your eating pills. If your talking food, not so much. Wish i did know of an app for this.

Its both, kinda to help me settle into a routine of when to eat and when to take supplements (semi controlled diet for lifting).
Another use would obviously be for people remembering to take meds

If you find the app first let us know, i will do the same.
Hi,
Basically, I need tasker to do the following but have no idea on how to go about doing it.
1) Turn off Juice Defender (the whole service) at a specified time, turn the phones Wifi, 3G / 4G, bluetooth etc and set it into flight mode.
2) At a specified time OR after an alarm goes off (no matter what time), turn off flight mode and turn on Juice Defender.
Can anyone please help me get this working in Tasker or any other app for that matter.
Thank you.
If you are rooted, tasker can kill app using root. You can then launch as part of an alarm set up through tasker.

Thanks. I am rooted. How would I go about doing this? I'm a newbie at using tasker

I find that you have to use some of the Tasker step throughs to get fully familiar with it and to get it to perform your fully customized tasks.
Have you tried http://tasker.wikidot.com/ as the profiles and step throughs are really very useful. I build a few of the examples for practice then try my own after that.

I just that Tasker has the following action: JD Status in the 3rd Party category
How can I use this to terminate the JD service and start it again?
Willing to pay someone for the code
I'm still feeling my way through this app, but its awesome. Anyone here using it with confidence and proficiency want to share some of your custom tasks and settings?
When I get a calendar notification for work (3 hour reminder) tasker automatically sets my alarm for my preset times. Never forget to set alarm again!
Spen helper works great for some customization as well.
I use ivona text to speech engine to tell me when some of my automation is happening. Makes me feel like James Bond, and makes my wife role her eyes.

I bought tasker when it was on sale but never got it to work very well. I watched the how-to videos, followed the directions, etc, just couldn't get it to do what I wanted. I recently starting playing with Automateit and have found it to be a lot easier (at least for simple stuff, which is all I wanted). I was easily able to set up a handul of rules (1. maps open, gps on; 2. maps closed, GPS off; 3. MX Player on, screen to 100% brightness; 4. Call ends, go to homescreen, 5. 11:30 PM silence all). They also have a "market" where you can download rules other people have uploaded.
Tasker seems more powerful, just beyond my grasp apparently.

Yeah I can understand the frustration with the learning curve, just spent the last couple hours trying to set up auto profiles for when GPS and WiFi should activate only to realize I was failing because I'm pointing tasker to open the GPS or Wi-Fi settings menu instead of the state change toggle.
I'm going to stick with it though...hey I can't get any worse than I already am. It's funny because I'm really feeling like a super geek again...takes me back to the good old days off my OG DROID. Love Android, I will never understand iOS users.

That's awesome, I'm trying to get on that level of automation. Are you able to do the calendar entries because it's a enterprise or Google account. I might need to go back to Enhanced Email so I can sync my calendar events to my Google calendar from 3rd party servers.

I love this app! Only thing is that I wish it came with some profiles already.

Check out the tasker wiki on his website (google tasker or go there from playstore entry). It includes lots of examples both of profiles you can just download and use, and also step throughs of how to set up specific tasks yourself.
I use it to turn off keyguard (pin lock) when I'm at home or in the car, adjust volumes in those places, and silence everything except alarms at night, also to autorotate to landscape when in the smartdock.

You can do the same things as this with "automate it" and it's free. Just throwing it out there
My favorite thing I ever did with Tasker was on a previous phone, I had a fully functional bluetooth timeout system working, where if the bluetooth was switched on, it would automatically switch off after 5 minutes if nothing connected. If something did connect, it would wait 5 minutes after disconnecting before it turned off. It would also switch to always on in certain situations (such as being in a car dock). It required multiple profiles, multiples tasks, and multiple variables to pull it off, but it was a thing of beauty. I don't use that anymore, because I don't need it on this phone...the battery doesn't even seem to be affected by bluetooth.
Currently, I use it to do simple stuff, like launch my desk clock app and silence notifications when plugged in and on the left side between 9PM and 9AM, silence notifications when in the car dock, and kill audio apps when removed from the car dock. I think it's a lot easier to learn when you already understand a lot of the fundamentals of coding, because a lot of it translates, though it requires a different manner of creativity and mental acrobatics to do certain things since there's no direct "OR" clause that would be really handy in a profile definition.
Hi all,
The S Health widget used to update every hour with the number of steps for the day and reset at midnight.
I just noticed today that it is no longer automatically updating every hour and only updates if I tap the widget.
I tried to look for a setting that I may have changed, but can't find how to change it back to updating every hour.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Rich

Go into the S Health app on the gear and then pedometer settings, make sure you haven't paused it. Then go into the "Inactive Time" settings and check the setup there.
Hope that helps.

Thanks. I haven't paused the pedometer because it is still tracking on the Gear. And, when I tap the widget on the phone, it updates the steps shown on the phone widget. Also, the Gear alerts me if if I've been inactive for an hour.
But, if I don't touch the widget on the phone it never updates automatically like it did every hour before.

Seems to be an issue with the phone rather than the Gear. It sounds obvious but have you rebooted the phone?
Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
Yes. I have rebooted numerous times for one reason or another.
I'm not sure if it's a setting somewhere that I need to toggle, or maybe Samsung updated the sure and is not stopped to auto update anymore, or a buggy installation.
Hi!
I just got a new update and by casuality I was proxy my app to my computer at that time, so I catch the rquest, here is the changelog:
1.3.5 Release notes:
Support Mountaineering activity tracking
Removed occasional Chinese voice prompt from lap alert
Fixed small difference on displayed time when the screen is locked v.s. unlocked
Fixed the weekday rendering issue on some watchfaces
Fixed off-by-one-hour issue in tracked sleep time in Daily Overview widget
Fixed pairing issues with some smartphones running Android 8.0 and above
Optimized system power consumption
The update hide the sideload apk list at the end of the options, but don't worry, after re/install any apk, all of them are back.
* I have also downloaded and attached the file.
Here is the a rom dump thanks to @Saratoga79

I have a climb mode, not sure if it is new xD
I just discovered that all my sideload installed app are not there anymore, not sure if are unninstalled or just the menu is hidden :S
Hi,
I just bought this watch and love it, upgraded this morning to 1.3.5. Looking at the change log it says:
Removed occasional Chinese voice prompt from lap alert
Does this watch support and audio prompt in the lap alert? For me it just vibrates and shows on screen my pace for the previous kilometer.
If you have the BT headset connected, yes.

Thanks for the reply, how can I get this to work? I run without my phone and have a Bluetooth headset connected playing music, I also have the lap alert enabled in the settings! This is the one thing I'm missing in this watch so it would be great if I could get it working!!

Strange bug on amazfit
Hello, ive found something strange on my watch. We all know the option huami lab called 'ppg capturing'. Seems when you reboot the watch, this option is auto activated: i've seen many times my watch tracking my heartbeat while i was on my bed since the night. I've checked huami lab ppg capturing and resellected the cross and it is fine then.

Thanks for that, this can be useful since I noticed that battery autonomy was dicreased by this update. I'm sure this will improve it.
I'll wait for a few days, as usual, but if someone could check the couple of glitches I've had on 1.3.4f :
1. When changing the watchface on watch , by press&hold, it always scrolls to 1st one, so I have to swipe eternally to left to get to one wanted.
2. Sleep tracking was laughable from day one for me, it shows 4-5 hours of sleep per day, every day.
3. Some watchfaces were stopping the watch and touchscreen from working, when you choose custom background (on the watch itself)
Could someone check those, please?
