UMI Z PRO - DEAD within hours - UMi Z Questions & Answers

I opened the package and started the phone, it only had 19% battery left, so I plugged it into the charger. At about 75% I took it off the charger to set it up. During the setup the phone rebooted once randomly.
After this I continued setting up my apps (instagram/whatsapp etc) and when the phone reached 60% the screen just went off. Nothing else happened since, I used the original charger overnight to charge it. But nothing happens. Also no response when I connect it to a computer.
I tried a hard reset with the power off and volume buttons, but nothing happens. The phone is not responding anymore.
It has been on the charger now for several hours. Still no luck.
Just a red LED light flashing on and off. No vibrations, nothing

Doesn't sound too good. I got mine last week and it has randomly rebooted itself twice. It also crashed whilst doing the OTA update to 20170321. Had to use flash tool to blast whole ROM onto it. It's now intermittently not seeing the SIM card. First impressions of this device are not good!

My Device came in with 19% battery charged, at 16% it shut down..
I charged it up to 35% while off, then continued to about 75% before I took it off again. Never been on yet

Umi z pro dead
I received my UMIDIZI z pro on the 5th of April 2017. While charging, I setup my Google account, opened playstore, tried downloading whatsapp, during buffering period, phone just died.
No signs of life whatsoever. No buttons work, no lights, no nothing. It's basically now an umidizi z pro brick (an expensive brick).
I think this phones did not go through any forms of quality control prior to shipping....

Hi, I have the phone one week and no problem at all, I rooted it and have installed xposed even

Can I ask how you rooted? I'd like to get mine rooted to disable/uninstall SmallWindow app that keeps crashing with Google Play Music. And install Adaware, but haven't found a guide to rooting this device yet.

Ofcourse, not every phone of theirs is bad. It's just that they have terrible quality control at the end of the lind. I guess this is why so many peopel recieve defective phones.
My previous phone UMI Max was perfect, just a little mark on the screen, but no biggie. My UMI Super, also perfect, no issues.
But now, I thought I'd get the flagship, Umidigi Z pro -> DEAD

Many thanks. All sorted. Pretty straightforward and similar to previous devices I've had

Getting frustrated. Now it says "SD Card Not Detected" so it's back to the internal memory only. Also it says "Hardware Not Supported" whern trying to run Antutu 3D benchmark and LOADS of games force close on start. Not impressed with this phone at all

It's a new chip so I guess Antutu may not know much about it yet.
Not had any issue with apps closing on start (other than SmallWindow).

I buyed the phone from VOLUMERATE>COM, and I will never buy from there, NEVER, they will not send another charger, they told me to by myself one( but I dont find one...except on e-bay...)

In Ali Express you can find the quick charger for Umi Plus. It's the same. Check the Voltage and Amp in the product page picture and compare it with your original.

Umi Z Pro died within 6 weeks. Flagship seems to be a complete shipwreck to my humble opinion and warranty and support from Banggood sucks big time. No recommendation or whatsoever on Banggood and Umidigi. I take my loss and move on, with a good warning to other customers, if it sounds to good to be true, there might be something horribly wrong.

umi zpro wont turn on blinking red light
i have had for 3 months got very hot a few times but last night went to bed it had 175 CHARGE ,WOKE UP IT WAS FLAT AND TURNED OFF.WONT RESPOND TO CHARGING.i just get a slow blinking red light when i plug a cord in.nothing works

Some Tests for the red light
<SUMMARY>
When the red light just on/off slowly, the UMI said it's a "low battery issue".
But in my test, the battery is fully charged and seems the phone can not recognize the battery voltage.
Any ideas? How we can fix it?
<SUMMARY>
Hi,
############ You can skip here #############
I pre-ordered Umi Z on Banggood and get my phone at Feb, 2017.
I had experienced the battery expansion at Apr, 2017, and I asked the repair service to the banggood after detached the battery because I was worried about the explosion.
Then banggood said open the housing means lost the warranty.
So, I bought the new batteries from aliexpress and it works.
############ You can skip here #############
And two month ago, I dropped the phone from the stair, the display had broken, but the phone works.
https://photos.app.goo.gl/vGe5YJTit9aWB65x7
However, one more drop, it died.
So I changed the display. (I saw this video to refer youtu.be/v5YXRrKM2R8 )
But it's not resurrected with red light on/off slowly. The symptom is same as this video. ( https://youtu.be/_ylNyhsT8kk )
When I search it on the google, there are many people that had same experience.
In the UMI Forum, the moderator said it's just a battery issue. The red light means there are no charged battery. ( community.umidigi.com/thread-12002-1-1.html )
So I got a question, "is it really the battery problem?"
First, I tried install a new ROM by the SPFT for ensure that the mainboard works.
I could get the green circle on the SPFT, so it seems the mainboard is fine.
Then I checked the voltage at the mainboard. There are three dots near the battery slot and it seems same as the battery voltage.
So I checked the voltage on the two dots and get 4.17v when the phone connected with the usb cable. ( https://photos.app.goo.gl/PG7nkGNQBASNFhex8 , https://photos.app.goo.gl/x85LowiKt21sghik7 )
4.17v is the charging voltage, so it also seems the mainboard is fine.
At this moment, I thought maybe the battery slot is broken. So I checked the voltage from the protect circuit on the expanded battery. ( https://photos.app.goo.gl/Syb8Xcntk9H4iKuTA , https://photos.app.goo.gl/UV2KtqK4eW2QB9Kv8 )
It also show me 4.17v.
Finally, I checked the battery voltage and it was ALSO 4.17v. ( https://photos.app.goo.gl/3WMqY3PsSWzAbJDv9 )
In conclusion, the "low battery issue" is not true. It seems the mainboard is not recognize the battery voltage properly. It can be both of the hardware or the software issue.
I saw the post that mentioned the secureboot option on the SPFT. ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-2/help/bricked-le-s3-x626-flashing-twrp-power-t3715937 )
It's for the mtk 6797 chipset, not 6797X, but maybe it's relate to our problem.
Please let me know if you have any comments or suggestions.
Thanks.

Probably motherboard is fried. I switchen the motherboard and it worked fine after. (I used a Umidigi Z Pro motherboard but tool the camera module from the regular "dead" umi Z)
So the umi Z battery worked afterwards

I don't know how people can buy something from that poor manufacturer, who has no support for anything that they sell.
After UMI-Z ,i definitively decided to boycott that "UMIDIGI" sh...t
Ps: if you will buy chinese smartphone, only xiaomo

[Q] Lumia 800... fully discharged... now dead

I allowed my Lumia 800 to fully discharge overnight. Next day, I plugged into the charger. 2 hrs later, still dead.... later that day, still dead. Next day, tried all sorts (including all in the Seida website as below) Still dead. Took it back. Returned to Nokia.
Anyone else with the same problem - it seems it might be a problem associated with software version (ie a fatal flaw). When I get it back I'm gonna fully discharge again & try to re-charge. If it bricks again, it goes back for a refund.
I'm interested if others have had the same issue, so a picture can be built of the extent of the problem...
http://www.seidea.com/2012/02/14/no...e-battery-drained-devices-cant-turn-on-issue/
Thanks!
Mine has gotten discharged once. Though it turned on as soon as I put the charger in.
Hold power button 15 seconds+.
nope...
Nope.... tried holding power button for >30 secs, tried all other button combinations as recommended. No joy.
Are you using USB power or wall outlet power?
USB...wall etc
Tried both for extended period (several hours) - absolutely nothing.
When connected via USB to my PC, and with dis / re-connecting the cable etc etc (as advised) it started to do a restore, got to 80% then died. The L800 then UTTERLY was bricked. A further day of trying to kick it into life led to nothing so it went back to Nokia. Am told to expect it back / replaced within 7-10 days (this from T-Mob where it's on contract).
I had the exact same problem with my girlfriends lumia and after reading all the posts from Nokia forum and tried everything but the one with the heating of the battery , nothing worked.
So here is the solution that worked for me: I used the USB cable with zune and placed the device on my laptop right in a warm place ) ( by mistake ) after 5 minutes it started and now I told my gf to never let the phone discharge to 0%
Hope this is helpfull to anyone , thank you

Sounds like they had to plug and unplug a few times to get it going.

heating the phone works. Mine ran flat and refused to turn back on, I heated it with a hairdrier, plugged the USB in (attached to the mains) and it charged! Not sure how long I heated it for but it was HOT.
is it just me or....
... is it reasonable to have a device that:
(i) you have to fret about ensuring it's ALWAYS got some charge, or run the risk of killing it, and
(ii) you have to HEAT IT WITH A BL**DY HAIRDRYER to make it start... ?
The purpose of my post was to see if this is a random, could-happen-to-anyone, fault... in which case, OK, I'll have Nokia sort it... or is it a design fault that (i) I would expect to be sorted before (& certainly after) launch and (ii) means I would look to send the 800 back & select a different WP7 device.
Anyway I hope mine comes back in good shape & that's the back of the problem.
Still interested in other experiences. I'm NOT really interested in HOW people got over the problem (hairdryers, rapid plug/unplug / extended USB sessions etc) - that is now a moot point since I sent mine back. I AM interested in a straight poll on how many other people had this problem... ie is it a design issue?
Thanks!
... yes ccalpha!
Thanks for that anandtech url - that's exactly the issue. Nicely described as a 'reboot loop' - a Catch-22 where there's insufficient charge to kick start the boot / charging process so it shuts down. Exactly.
Just to add, I upgraded my 800 to the latest software version via Zune, 2-3 weeks ago, so I would say that this issue is NOT fixed by the current software.

It's kinda tacky of you to tell people that it's not ok to share their anecdotal experiences in a discussion based community.
You'd be better suited turning your thread into a poll rather than a conversation.
sorta a fair point... it is interesting to hear what people have to do to get their phones working again. But my point remains - i was clear i sent mine back and that I was interested in sensing the extent of the problem.
Thanks to all those who responded. I'm grateful. When I get my phone back and if it bricks again, I'll be sure to have a range of hair utensils ready...

battery
Actually a poll is what I wanted to establish. I'm interested in mapping battery problems to (eg) firmware or OS revision. It may be that battery problems are prevalent with a particular revision. As I reported, I had the latest OS and my battery failed me.
If there is a generic product issue, we owe it to ourselves to highlight it.
I agree that it's interesting to hear anecdotes of how people fixed (temp?) the problem but my point remains that we shouldn't have to go to such lengths to manage / resurrect / fix our nice shiny (expensive!) Lumia 800s...
battery itself is fine, try turning on airplane mode you will notice expected power consumption, iirc ~4% / 10 hours standby . either component related to radio is faulty ( and i doubt that) either nokia ****ed up something with power management ( and they are to stupid to manage to fix it)
I believe it's generally acknowledged that current crop of smartphones are pushing the limits of battery technology - witness the many forums (Nokia, LG, Apple, etc etc) where the issue of battery drain is debated.
While my L800 is in dock with Nokia for repair or whatever, T-Mobile loaned me a Nokia 2330 (not so smart-phone) and I've had it 4 days now, used it as I normally would use the 800 and it's still showing full battery.
Having said that, I suspect that the L800 is hungrier than many (for some reason) and/or there is a basic flaw that is still not addressed with latest FW...maybe I'm wrong.
So it looks like I'm suffering something similar:
Last night I was charging the phone, and it suddenly stopped being able to open any apps, attempting that just left it with a back screen with white 'loading' on.
Powered on an off, then the phone couldn't get any signal, and the app opening problem remained. Powered off, removed SIM and powered on. Phone shut itself down and has not powered on since.
Left it on charge for a copule of hours, both USB and two mains adaptors, nothing. Tried button combinations, nothing.
It appears to be a brick.
Great.
Rusty! Hmmmm sounds familiar. What version of firmware ? Did you update to the latest a couple of weeks ago?
Feels as though there's a bigger problem than just high battery drain with some devices.
Anyone from Nokia read this forum? ...And care to comment?
worst thing is that it seems almost every device is affected, this is really big fail from nokia. even their official forum has similiar threads
Hello nokia... Anyone there?
As many have said (& on the Nokia discussions) the 800 is a lovely phone, spoiled by serious battery problems.
I've had mobile phones for 20+ years (work and personal) and this is the first time I've had to return one for repair. The 800 IS a lovely phone & WP7.5 is excellent in the main BUT Nokia will suffer if users no longer trust this lovely device.
Mine is with Nokia for [repair / replacement]... I will test the one I get back very quickly after getting it home. If it fails again, it goes back for refund...

[Q] Xperia x10 shuts down

I bought Xperia x10 from a guy who said that he flashed it and it after two weeks it turned off and didnt turn on. I got new battery and it turned on, but after 5 minutes it turns off again. I brought it to service and after 5 minutes they said its motherboard problem..I dont believe that cause i flashed it again with SE Pc Companion and it worked 12 hours playing songs...I tried to look some pictures and it turned off.. When it turns off I need to pull out the battery and wait 2-3 minutes to turn it again..Weird thing that I noticed is that Sometimes it turns off and it shows 00:00 time and battery about 70% and sometimes with time 7:40 and battery 40% and when it turns on with time 7:40 it turns off in 1-2 minutes.. Seems like it has dualboot or something.

Try to flash stock firmware using flashtools ,may help.
Sent From My BEAST , I mean X8
I already tried using flashtool...and i tried SEUS few hours ago and my phone still shuts down
Well there is something with these phones. I also have one that turns of by itself. Changed battery, installed stock ROM, however problem still exist. With new battery works much longer. When not fiddling with it works as it should. I guess the problem can be in motherboard, probably when using data transfer or just viewing pictures some element get high temperature so it shuts down to reduce risk of more damage. When your X10 shuts down? When downloading data, taking pictures or play something (when it needs more power consume) or even when it's lying on a table? Anyone have a service manual for X10?
it restarts randomly..sometimes when booting..sometimes when listening music..i also think that it is overheating..because i need to leave phone cooldown to turn it again
Short circuit maybe?
Sent from my X10i using xda premium
What you mean by short circuit, I mean I know what this mean but do you know where on the MB it can be or you just guessing? I doubt that can be a reason cause in that case phone probably won't turn on.
Well if it has ever had moisture in the phone from rain, etc. It could have made it to were you don't have enough power there for shuts down randomly
Sent from my X10i using xda premium
Well mine wasn't disposed to humidity. Even the sticker that is clear, didn't change colour. I've found service manual for X10 if someone needs it I can upload. However it doesn't state that case, checked the possible steps with no luck. Noticed that there are only basic steps to check like checking the button flex tapes etc. It only states that in case faulty main PCB service should replace it preparing before steps to program new one. I guess they mean writing IMEI and so on, as there are instructions for printing a new label in manual. I'm quite sure that problem is with connections on board. Now I'm trying to fix it my way if it works I'll write how to. If not I'll probably be a new owner of a paperweight... Wish me luck.
I wish you luck! I've had the burden of my old sidekick 4g continue to reboot and shutdown caused by the circuits.

So far so good works stable from 2 am GMT+1 til now. So here is my solution of the problem.
But first if you follow it I don't take any responsibility if something goes wrong, it didn't work for you or you kill your phone!
It worked for my specific case and might not work for other.
1. As I stated before I checked all possible mechanical problems like flex, connectors, replaced battery etc. So just in case do the same.
2. You'll need these tools (I've used them probably there can be better)
- torx t6 screwdriver
- an old sim card
- alluminium foil (ordinary foil that is used for packing food or something)
- an oven I've used regular free stand kitchen with it
3. use torx and sim card to dispatch X10 ( you probably done it when checking flex cables etc.)
4. get the main PCB from the cover, disconnect cmos camera, leave only PCB
5. rip off all stickers on it (white under battery, and the black ones on the electromagnetical shields on backward, also remove the copper ones)
6. As I stated before here comes the meritum problem lies in a BGA chip, I've taken solution from old problems with Nvidia cards where the BGA connections with time needs reballing. So the solution was to heat it to temperature where tin bond (the tin balls) will melt. But before you need to protect other components not to fry. To do so use the foil to cover all the components that should be protected. I've made 3 layers of it. Leave uncovered only one shield - that with copper sticker, bigger one as there are two.
7. You can remove the backup battery from PCB before but I don't know what will happen if you do so (I didn't), there is a risk it explodes
8. I preheated my oven to 210 Celsius degrees
9. Lie layered PCB on a plate
10. Put a plate with PCB to the oven (i put it on top of it)
11. Leave it inside for 10 minutes
12. Fingers crosed, pray or whatever you want.
13. Turn the oven off. I opened it a litle bit for 3 or five minutes to slow cooldown and next opened it about a half for ca 25 minutes, next get the plate from it and wait another 20 minutes till complete cooldown.
14. mount all together, the stickers should be usedd new ones but i didn't have them so used the old ones.
15. have faith and turn Xperia on. If all goes as it should and the problem was the BGA you should have now a fully working Xperia. Enjoy it!
Hope it may help some others. And I write it simple to understand, if not sorry I'm not native English speaker. If you have questions ask, I'll try to answer as good as I can.
And once again remember that cooking with Xperia is a dangerous and can kill your phone so think if you really want to do this.
Glad it went well

Wow. And 7 days later????? hows it going???
I have no problems with my XPERIA X10i (other than my own actions), but I'm always interested to understand different solutions to common problems.
Still works like a charm Only one thing I noticed it sometimes cant load a picture (photo) in gallery but this might be just a SD card problem. It just shuts down image viewer. Beside that I didn't noticed any problems with it.
Edit: For now it still works, Probably it will last as is, I hope so. But to be honest I fried 2 days ago a motorola phone it didn't lasted that try. But it was bought just for tests and phone was dying (don't know phone history but AFAIK it was after heavy underwater adventure as i saw its main PCB), it didn't lasted that try. Now it's not giving any sign of life, however it did them before when plugged a charger. Just to be honest and beware the brave ones. I did fried my x10 as I didn't have any to lose

Invalid battery... again?!

Hello XDA,
My G3 was broken and I have been using G5 for almost 2 months.
A genuine battery was bundled when I bought the phone, so I have a spare one in case one of them is used up.
The battery life of my phone is not bad that I think I only swapped the battery for about 10 times? But yesterday, after I swapped it and turned it on, “Invalid battery...” showed up after maybe 30 seconds.
I came across this issue in G3 too, but it would be okay after a couple of reboot. However, it happens everytime I boot it up.
Habe anyone came across this issue and somehow has a fix for this?
Thanks in advance!

Try cleaning the contacts of the battery with a piece of cloth, making sure debris or any other particle wasn't on it. If you don't know what contacts are, they are the gold strips on top of the battery. Also clean the pins that the contacts press against. Maybe that will work?
Hello, thanks for your reply!
However, this doesn’t work for me..
I noticed a weird thing that the % indicated on my phone is 50% with the questioned battery.
I didn’t notice it several days before. But before pitting it in this time, it was fully charged with the LG batteey charger.
I am not going to play with the battery anymore. I will bring it to LG and seek for replacement. Let see what is their comment on this issue.

Sounds a hardware problem so. You should change your defective battery. It is a typical problem of these devices.

is there an app or a way to test the battery health while the phone is charging? to make sure its the battery not anything else controlling the power in the phone

There are many apps for testing it, try some from the google play. But it would be better to find the Motorola's service of your area, because it might has problem the motherboard as well. I'm saying this from my experience.

the problem that motorola service in egypt "my area" will cost me more than the phone price .... thats why i wanna do it or test it myself
I have that problem for months. Changing battery helped me for 3 or 4 months. But it keeps happening. I'm having that issue "again" so if you have chance to buy another one do it. Save yourself and save your money for good. Cause you'll keep paying for battery after warranty and you'll say yourself "wow i could buy another phone."

I got issue, so i decide to buy new battery
Well done
Hello , this is due to android 7.1 update . Lenovo is responsible for doing this to us , it´s called programmed obsolenscence to make you buy new phones. This moto z is the cheapest vr ready phone in the market with a long long life in terms of tech , the only way is to buy a moto mod check in ebay (sept-2019) they are selling some for cheap from hong kong because a new moto mod battery came out with more mah.
I have had that battery issue before with a Moto Z that I bought in November 2016. The issues started around August 2017. When I had the issues I prolonged the use of the phone without replacing it by using a battery mod, but after some time it would power off even while on the battery, and would immediately power off the second I took the battery mod off probably a few months before that.
I eventually gave into buying a new battery for it and attempting to replace it myself. I rooted the phone first thing when I initially got it, so I didn't try doing official repairs since warranty was voided. Ended up breaking the screen in the process, ordering a new screen (had issues), and then ended up refunding the screen and just sending it into Motorola for replacement. The new 3rd party battery did seem to work without issue for the short time I tested it, so that may be an option, but might end up needing to be replaced in a year. The screen was really easy to break though.
I got a refurbished phone back and it is just now starting to show the same issues again (Replaced it March 2018, have not rooted yet). Had it abruptly die at around 20% earlier today. Not that bad but good to know that it may be starting to happen with this phone. This one I still have left plugged in every night, but without the turbo charger.
Debating on the next phone upgrade right now or if I just want to downgrade to a Moto Z Play I have laying around if it becomes unusable. I will still keep them around since I mess around with the dev kit, but not planning on getting another Motorola as a main phone if I get a new one.

Poco F1 suddenly went dead. Help!

Last night while playing pubg my poco F1 touch stopped working, pressing the power button wouldn't let me turn the screen off. Long pressing the power button didn't switch off the device. Before it went dead I heard a constant hissing noise on the earphones for a few seconds. The temp was normal and the whole thing happened in about 30 secs.
After this my phone has been completely unresponsive, won't power on, not detected by PC, charging it wouldn't turn on led. When I failed to power it on again today morning and kept it in my bag, I realized the phone had warmed up slightly.
Probable cause?
I have been using NOS for around 4 months now. Exactly two days ago I tried flashing the vendor(9.6.27-9.0)+Nitrogen-OS-P-beryllium-20190714 from vendor(9.6.27-9.0)[/URL]+Nitrogen-OS-P-beryllium-20190614, which caused a lot of problems(UI crashing + phone heating) so I flashed back to the former. My phone was working fine till it died just a few hours later.
Few Questions
Unlocking and rooting doesn't void warranty, however I didn't find much about having a custom rom installed. I bought it from Flipkart flash sale on 29th Aug, 2018.
My phone has a few other issues - barely charges when I am on video call or pubg(1% in 20mins) & seeing ghost images due to image retention, which has been happening since last month.
I would take it to the service center tomorrow. In the mean time I would welcome any advice on how to get my phone fixed, as I hear that xaiomi servicing is notorious for creating more problems than solving.
I am barely within warranty so unless I get the best servicing it would be a pain to keep having to get it fixed.
Further is there any chance of getting a brand new phone?
PS: A big THANKS for going through this long post. I love my phones but Poco was the first to serve so well (my sony xperia mini, lenovo k3 note used to give me hell). I saved up and bought myself a poco , moving to custom roms fixed almost every problem. But that was short lived.
1) Playing PUBG is gonna make your phone run hot.
2) Charging your phone heats the battery.
3) Playing PUBG while your phone is charging is going to make your phone work hard and run hot.
4) If you live in an environment which is hot, the ambient heat isn't going to allow the device to cool very well.
If you haven't already, try holding the power button + volume up for about 30 seconds. I've had situations where, for some reason, it took substantially longer to get the device to wake up after a hard crash.
Not really sure what else to suggest at this time.
Get it replaced if you can I guess.
Sorry about the short lived Poco experience, that's unfortunate. Its a great phone!

2) yea I am aware, which is why I thought charging speeds were miserably low while doing something intensive. I thought it was a feature initially.. until I saw other users not experiencing that.
3) I love my poco and care for it like a mama .. I never let it run hot. Just warm.
Yea I tried going into recovery and fastboot. All I see is that my phone is making some heat when, that too can only be felt when I keep it in a ill ventilated space for a long time.
Thanks for the words man, I feel broken, never thought we would part this way. :'(
If you cant boot fasfboot or recovery, it is phisical issue. Go to service..
That's the speciality about Xioami ,
Change the POWER MODULE on PCB.
Contact a higher professional technician.
Same problem with me maybe about a month ago, when i used havoc 2.6, playing pubg but got system freeze, cant touch anything and the fps counter stopping too. What i've done was try to press lock/unlock button but didnt respond, it goes off when press lock button about 15-20seconds, so frustating when playing pubg around 30minutes.
But now normal when got 2.7 havoc update.
Thats the risk if we use custom rom/root device wkwk

Sorry to contradict you, but if the issue is the screen being dead, then why isn't the phone showing up on the PC when connected?
So I got it fixed today. I took it to the servicing center, they just said in case of liquid damage my warranty would be void and a nominal servicing fee of ₹118 would be charged. They replaced my motherboard and now I don't even have to flash MIUI again coz it's already loaded. Win-Win? no.. not yet ~_~
My screen retention or image persistence or ghost images being left behind still remains. At first they refused to even notice it, but then one of them later acknowledged and said that there is no way they can show that the screen fails their quality control check unless there are dead pixels or there is a touch issue.
I still have 10 days of warranty left and plan to do my utmost to get that screen replacement.
As for you good folks do be the judge if the problem is real or not. Youtube page and the ghost image of youtube page(doesn't show well in pic). If you feel kind enough do the same on your phone and let me know if you face something similar. Thank you
PS: for some reason the images links I posted didn't show.. does it take time for pics to get posted?

same thing happen with my poco f1 , i try to flash official stock rom but there was authentication need in order to flash rom. then i try some online flashing service but it didn't work, they said its some hardware problem. i also lost 30 USD(2400 inr).
I am fcuked.
Same thing happen with me today i was on stock rom and phone was also not rooted. While unzipping files my phone's screen suddenly got black and there after i tried rebooting it and all of my attempts failed. Now its not even charging. My phone is not in warranty what should i do? Me and my phone are both dead from within such a fabulous phone it was i dont even think of buying any other phone. Some one help me with the cost required to solve it. Thanks
Mine also dead about two weeks now ,unfortunately it s out off warrenty a week before that try to get by two repair shops, both said cant fix it cuz there's non spare parts. I googling around and in mi forum I read the post of a owner of poco face the same problem he said it's battery problem and get it fixed. now i placed order battery and also some top and bottom component of the phone just in case replacing battery won't work . My plan is If it not battery issue I'll try submerge the motherboard in 99% alcohol solution (method use for water damaged phone which i not sure my phone is ) and if that doesn't work I'll replace the board and component with new one this will cost me about 30$ and Awhole lot of my time. I took a gamble here .
This is not an useful response but using hotspot, uploading files and gaming stop my battery charging until I restart too
I'm on nitrogen os
How did you restart it?

How did you restart it? Cuz mine just dead and I'm not the only one face this same exact problem I've alot of owners with the same problem phone just died that what make it's so hard to troubleshoot what wrong.
**some said" It could be water damage as poco have no ipx rate", some even said "As poco f2/f2 pro come out there's a chance xiaomi just put sth in update making our phones dead so we can by new f2 " ** For myself I only use it for 1 year before it broke right after it run out of warranty, so I think I'll never mess with mi phone ever again ,i got samsung, huawei(5years still running), Lg all of them still last this day except for LG v10 which i bought used still last 1 year and I did resale for same price I bought it.
So I started looking for huawei and I bought nova 5t for -100buck off with a whole lot of gift as the shop want to get ride of huawei phone due to SH*t going on between us vs huawei. Happy with it so for and I hope it gonna last atleast 3years if not longer like my old huawei device.

i have exactly the same issue, happened a week ago, it just froze on lock screen , went off and nothing is responding. it does the same thing as yours when i connect to pc. Hope theres a solution to this . Have you tried flashing in edl mode with an mi authenticated account? That's one of the solutions i'm seeing online. Haven't tried it yet though.
i am unable to get edl mi authorised account .mi service centre are just forcing to change the motherboard....not getting any solution from last 4 weeks
many russian youtubers are claiming that they have got edl authorised account ..but i know they are just scamming users..
