Friends Please help me
Now i have a very irritating problem .
I switched to Resruction remix custom rom. aftr 2 days usage the fingerprint stoped recognizition.
Then i rolled back to miui 8.1 global stable .
still the finger print recognizition is not working. i am able to set FP so the hard ware is fine i think.
but once the screen is locked if i place the finger it wil vibrate and take me to lock screen where i have to enter the patern. so it just wakes the device as it dint recognize it.
I tried with App lock also it says couldnt recognize finger print. only one try it gives. please help me bro .
This is very tough for me without fingerprint.
If its a hardware issue as i bootloader unlocked my device . will service center provide warranty or its gone .
Thanks in advance
Try this fix https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71783407&postcount=123
Try do it with 3x3
I am facing the same issue...
But my phone doesn't recognize my right index finger..
Other fingers are recognized..
It's damm irritating...
Solved
1.Backup all important stuff from your phone to your PC..
2.Boot into recovery..
3.factory reset the phone (including internal storage) using recovery..(IMPORTANT)
4.connect the phone to your PC and copy the following files from your PC to your phone
Lazy flasher-no verity.zip
Android N firmware.zip
Custom ROM.zip
Gapps.zip
5. Install the files again in the same order as mentioned above.
6.Reboot and if this doesn't work, try installing the previous version of the Android N firmware as this problem did not exist in the previous firmware.

We have got only one firmware for Android N(the cm 14.1 firmware)
Can you please give me the links of other firmware zips..
Just change the pattern to pin and add the finger print.
when asked press NEXT on Fingerprint screen, DO NOT PRESS NEXT! Put your finger on the scanner instead, and it will progress to the next page
follow the instruction until complete (put your finger on, and take it off etc) Add all your other fingers you want- DONE. It now works.
After this you again can go back to pattern finger print will work fine

i was having the same problem in which all my fingers except right index fingers were recognised even if i added my index finger again and again. here it is what i did-
go in twrp
open twrp file manager and go to data/system/
delete two files with extension '.key' and three files with word 'locksettings'in their full name.reboot. now again add fingerprint and try.
Here you could use any file manager to delete the files. but if you have forgotten pattern then above guide can also reset your screen lock too.

You are DA MAN,
Thanks again for this tips.
After a TWRP recovery, my lock screen PIN CODE wasn't recognized anymore.
Thanks to this, I was able to reset the fingerprint AND the code.

open your phone up. take the battery off. The IMEI should be there along with serial number. Good luck
Touchscreen problem
Yesterday I start with a similar problem.
Using several Android builds on the same stock memory card.
The touchscreen stops responding always when I try to
reboot or turn off the phone, the same on all Android builds
and on WinMO. But locking the phone brings the touchscreen
back to life. Then I am able to unlock the phone and the
touchscreen keeps working OK.
Will try flashing the updated stock ROM.
you run hspl3 again , but select the other option with the extra.oooo, 208.000 , by default hspl3 installs the one to allow roms to work,,, when you rerun hspl3 select the other to set back to original so you can send back to factory anfter u install the t-mobile original rom

Well I'm here to help you the same thing happened to me and i found a much user friendly fix
before you do any think READ ALL THE STEPS FIRST.. AND NOTE IM NOT TO BLAME IF YOU MAKE YOUR PHONE WORST/something goes wrong.. FOLLOW THESES STEPS AT YOUR OWN RISK
1. Factory reset your phone( If you didn't flash an custom recovery just look up the combo keys for such a task) sorry don't remember at the moment
2. Reboot your phone and it should run the set up wizard like when you first got your phone
3. Go through the steps and make sure you sign in to your Gmail account and have A connection either that would be your 3g or you turn on The wifi when asked
4. When done and you click finish you should be at a black screen and the status bar should be there pull it down to make sure it's working..
5. Android market time send a home launcher to your phone any one.. If that doesn't work for some reason.. This is where gmail comes in play
6. Just get to your near by computer and get an apk of an home LUNCHER file and send it to your gmail.. I would tell you where to find a free one but can't post wired stuff on the site sorry.
7. Your phone should get it and all you do is excess it from the status of bar. It takes you to your gmail app of course and you install it from there.. You MAY run into not having unknown sources checked but it should promt you to check it.. And if you can't get back to gmail the back button/ hold home button should get you back there.. And install and there you go.. You have got your phone back with no kdz or whatever you call it/ others.. If don't want to go through that this should just work fine.. Oh another thing.. (((If your phone Does reboot but you can't unlock it just get someone to call you then end the call and you should be on the home screen with a blank screen then just FOLLOW STEPS 5-7))

I found that simply reflashing using the LGMDP program or if have recovery use cubes recovery files http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1168245 works well (make sure you have right v20x baseband for you are), both take about 5 minutes and I had a similar problem to you but everything other than the status bar was force closing.
Anyone who can answer,
I own a Swipe Legend. Its specifications are listed below.
I last did 2 things due to which it may have happened.
1. I was using ROM Toolbox Pro to change my font and backup old. I didn't like the new font so restored my old one. But there were too many fonts in the backup, so I thought they were in different uses. I selected all and rebooted. My battery suddenly dropped to about 25% from 48% during changing font some minutes before, and the brightness of pre-boot image was high, I plugged it during that image. Rest is in 2nd reason why I think it could have happened.
2. I put it on charger, forgot it and slept. Later after about 4 hours or so, I did unplug it but it is not working since then. However, this has happened a couple of times with me.
I hope you can help.
Problem: Sorry for not stating the problem first, but I am putting in sequence of time.
Whenever I start it, I can do just 4 things:-
1.See the pre-boot image
2.See the boot animation(the reason I can not show it, as it shows that my phone was rooted. Other reason is that the 1 year warranty is over)
3.Go to the recovery mode
4.See the 'Android is upgrading....' screen
After the 'Android is upgrading....' screen, it goes back to boot animation, then back to the 'Android is upgrading....' screen, and finally after some time screen gets off and I can not turn it on, although I can turn on light of the buttons by power button. Screen gets on for battery notification, and I can see the 'Android is upgrading....' screen. I can always take it to recovery mode, but can not switch it off once it is on so I have to wait for battery to finish. So it may not be bootloop, because that happens just 1 time when it goes back to boot animation. It is also not bricked, as it can do the 4 things.
Solutions already tried:
1. I have hard reset the phone at first.
2. I tried adb and fastboot but they do not recognize my device, maybe due to resetting of USB debugging option after the reset
3. No ROM or CWM is available on my phone, after searching and even using Goo manager
4. I tried removing the SD card after reset, but condition is same
About the phone:-
Name: Swipe Legend
Model: Alps hexxing77_ics2
Android: v4.0.4
Memory: 4GB ROM+32GB SD+512MB RAM
Processor: 2x1.5GHz Dual core(But I think it to be 1GHz dual core due to analysis by apps like Pi)
Screen: 7 inch
Pixels: 800*480
Status: Originally rooted, but maybe root is lost after reset
Already experienced reset: Yes, but it was not rooted by that time
USB Debugging: Was on last time, but maybe offed after factory reset
More details: I can not get the links but it can be searched on amazon or a site like naaptol.com.(I'm from India so don't know any shopping sites of other countries)
If any detail is missing, you may ask.
Please help if you can

This seems good, but I don't have anything like recovery image. I once took a backup of user data but even that's corrupted. Is there any way to get the recovery image for my phone or it needs to be compiled by myself? Actually, I don't know much about recoveries and such things.
Use the command
dd if=/dev/recoverypartition of=/sdcard/recovery.img
Only you need to know the recoverypartition
It may be something like mmblck0p1
Only the numbers vary
Has your phone booted?

Hello guys,
Here is my problem : youtube.com/watch?v=lGRq5dkg4Ow
I tried several rom (aosp, official, hermes, french rom ...) it change nothing, I really believe that It don't come from a rom but from hardware or bios (?).
It's 65€ to send it back to China so I'll not do it (they are going to refund me 26€).
What should I do ? Someone had this problems ? Can I contact a phone repairer or can I fix it myself ?
Should I try to sell it ?
I need your help guys
Nobody with info or help/link/having the same issue ?

Why there's no lockscreen when you wake up? Does the screen light up when shows black(try to verify in dark room)?
When you reboot the device does the MI logo appear after the vibration or it delays like when waking up from standby?

its gone when im using fasboot installation for installing miui 7 stable..

Are you sure it was the same ? I tried already a stable version... hum
I tried with my girlfriend if she could call me and if I could answer it.
I tried with a bluetooth headphone (there is a button on it to answer call so I don't need to push the button on the screen).
As soon as I hear ring, I push the button, for me it stop ringing but my girlfriend have to wait for my screen to show up for the call to work properly. (If my screen si black, it's still ringing for her)

this is fastboot method, not SP Flash Tool Download method.
I'll try to explain fast.
Download latest version of SP flash tool > Google search It
Install mediatek VCOM drivers to your Windows PC, if on Linux there's no need of driver. See this tutorial. For the redmi note 2 on step 4 you have to do it without the battery. The whole flash procedure is performed with removed battery.
After a successful driver installation proceed with loading the firmware in SP Flash Tool. Download the latest global stable rom, fastboot format -arround 1GB. Extract the folder that contains The MT6795-Android-scatter file, boot.img, recovery.img, system.img, etc.
Disconnect your device and remove It's battery.
In SPFT Browse for mt6795androidscatter and all the partition should load automatically in the listbox bellow. On combo box download mode choose Firmware upgrade and hit the big Download button.
Now connect your device with battery removed. and all should go smooth.
I did It on Linux, because I don't really use Windows.
Feel free to ask further questions, will answer asap.
Choosing to do this is dangerous but this is the only method that flashes preloader and dsp and uboot parts. Take your own responsibility on this!
Bye!

Well, in this case It's either from the LCD or the PCB of the device not sure how to verify right now.. Do You have another one, i mean device or at least spare LCD screen?
Best option here is to return for service.
I have Touchscreen issue on my hermes and I won't send it back because I don't want to wait another 2 months, I'll fix it on my own. The screen costs me ~28USD, so I'll go with It.
What I fear is that in Your case might be a faulty PCB. That means even if you replace the LCD the problem may remain.
Yeah I don't know...
Juste noticed the flash/light don't work either...
mmmh.

If you have an SD Card installed, try removing the SD card and then booting the phone.
If that works... then I bet you have a Samsung 128GB MicroSD card???? (if not, maybe another brand 128GB card?)
It seems that there is something in the 7.1.1 boot sequence for the Moto Z's that is hanging during the mount of the SD Card when it is a Samsung 128GB card. Removal of the SD allows a successful boot up.
Once boot up is complete, you should be able to insert the SD card (without rebooting the phone) and the phone will see the SD card and the "missing SD" notification will go away and the phone will function as it always has. It seems that unless Motorola/Lenovo release a patch for this issue, that your only options are 1) remove SD during every reboot, or 2) purchase a different SD card (Motorola seems to recommend SanDisk).
No there is no SD card. The phone is stuck on bootloader.
I had the same issue, stuck on bootloader and error saying recovery could not be read. I rebooted a few times and it eventually went away. Problem is that now my phone acts REALLY weird. And the Software Assistant does NOTHING to help out. It doesn't detect the phone in regular mode and in fastboot, it says everything is fine and doesn't let me restore.
I have a feeling the OTA had a problem installing and a clean slate is the only way to fix it. The only issue is that I can't find a copy of an XT1560-02 ROM anywhere, only other variants.
I had the same issue after update. Recovery could not be validated. I removed the SD card and boom perfect boot. I just hope the issue gets patched soon, would hate to have to carry that Lil key around for if I need a reboot to remove SD card before boot
Same issue. But instead of removing sd card. Just go into recovery mode and wipe cache.
Works
This helped me. If you can fastboot, this may solve your problem:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-z/how-to/how-to-update-to-official-7-1-1-moto-z-t3640298
you don't need to root or install TWRP if you don't want to.

Maybe you could provide more information. Have you been on Stock 7.1.1 and tried to unlock your bootloader without allowing Oem Unlocking in developer options? What is the current state of your device, means are you able to get into recovery mode?

Everything was great, but a week ago the cellphone it restarted itself, and never back: It's stuck in bootloop.
I get it with Android 6.0, and i was upgrading via Ota until 1th July, which that means it's 7.1.1 Rom Stock
Cause i wanted have my cellphone pure, i didnt touch anything(I didn't want loose my warranty), so i'm never check to allow "oem unlocking"
Now, warranty doesn't help me because i bought it in Italia, and im living in Argentina now, and they said taht they have Local Warranty.
So, i tried to solved it by my self... I did it with my old phones but they were cheap, so i think is it that why i never have ear about Reset Software Factory Protection.
Brief:
Original Stock 7.1.1
Yes, i tried unlock BL without Allow OEM Unlocking
Yes, i can get in BootLoader and in fastboot without problem
Thank You very much
Maybe a factory reset might help. Switch off your phone. By holding the power button and the volume down button you get into bootloader mode. Tap volume up until you see recovery. Press power to confirm. (If you see the little green android, hold the power button for 2 sec and then press volume up) In the recovery menue select factory reset, if you choose with data wipe, be aware that you'll lose all your data. After that reboot your system. Hopefully it will boot up and you can set it up from scratch.
I did it.

1. What happens, if pull out the ext sd-card and then reboot?
2. Which version of stock rom did you download?
3. Download and install RSD-lite on your pc
http://lenovo-forums.ru/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=66115
Start RSD-lite on your pc.
Then put your device in bootloader mode and connect it to your pc. Does RSD-lite show, that your device is connected?

That's good. (Sorry for the late reply, it was late and i fell asleep).
As i understood you purchased the device in italy and now you live permantly in argentina. Where did you take the 7.1.1 OTA, in Italy or in Argentina?
With the help of RSD we could try to restore your firmware. Not sure if it works for you in Argentina.
1. Download the NPL25...RETBR stockfirmware from here on your pc https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/griffin/official/RETBR/
2. Extract the zip and search for this file: flashall.xml and remember where to find it.
3. Run RSD on your pc
4. Reinsert your simcard (not the sdcard). Put your moto z into bootloader mode and connect it with your pc. Wait until it gets recognized.
4. Click the three little dots in RSD (left beneath the start button). Now search the flashall.xml file and double click. It will be added to the command field.
5. Click start.
RSD should now flash the firmware onto your device. This takes about 10 minutes. Wait untill your moto reboots completely and you get a PASS notification in RSD.
Hope it works. If not, we have to try plan B.
@acalapone i have edited my post above

Sorry, i was quite busy...
I bought three: One to my girlfriend, one to my brother(Both are working perfect, like a charm ¬¬) and the cursed one to me, of course!!
Well, when i read "RETBR" i remember that mine cellphone said "RETEU"(or something like that) in settings, so i have checked in my girlfriend's phone, and yeah, they are RETEU and, in the link that you have shared with me, i found one that said that.
I have downloaded both of them, just in case.
Now i'm have try with RETBR, and it didn't work
Now im going to try "RETEU", and, you know, i'm feeling lucky!
Let's cross our fingers
---------- Post added at 12:23 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:02 AM ----------

Yeah, i know... It's 6.0.1 ...

There is still no RETEU 7.0 available, thats why you have to flash the RETBR.
Try again to flash the RETBR NPL25..firmware with RSD. If you'll get the same failed error message, here is
PLAN B:
Copy the flashall.xml file and rename it to flashallcopy.xml.
Open the copied file with a text editor and delete the 2 lines with "gpt" and "bootloader" in it. Save it and close the copy. With this the RSD program will skip those two commands. Click the 3 dots and add the flashallcopy.xml file to RSD. Click Start.
If that doesn't work, we have to run Plan C
Good luck
