Hi guys,
This is my first message and I'd like to learn as much as I can. I have a question to which I did not find answer in the forum.
When I had android, I did the root of my mobile phone and with a tool I used Spotify pretending that I was using a tablet instead of a mobile phone. In this way, I was able to listen to all songs that I wanted avoiding the shuffle.
Is there a way to enable a kind of tablet mode or something like that on Windows Mobile? I haven't done the unlock yet, so I don't really know if there is a tweak that allows me to do that.
Thank you in advance for all your answers

Hello everyone, reading on forums 4 days ago, I discovered an app for android that allows you to send a SMS to your phone with specific test written on it and the phone automatically turns into max volume and start ringing... I found the app VERY useful when you loose your phone and don't have any idea where it could be, I know that there are tons of apps for stolen phones or so that blocks and protect your phone, but even though I searched a lot for an app like the one I described before for WM, I didn't find anything... Any one knows of one?? Thanks!
It was in the first page of this section... DringMoi
lol thanks, I feel kind of stupid right now
I was trying to look around for this, but couldn't find anything. Is it possible? And if it is, what are the apps/programs for this?
Sorry for the bump (which im not even sure is allowed here), but I'd really like to know if this is possible
I am extremely new to the world of smartphones and shell commands and tar files, etc. I'm looking for recommendations of websites, online videos, anything like that to learn as much a possible about not only Android but also writing scripts and knowing what the difference is between ROM and RAM and why it's called a kernel, writing code, stuff like that. I made a pretty cool weather app with Tasker and Zoom that I get a generic xml weather report for that is suppose to come from a soap request but I can't figure out how to generate one. I downloaded nusoap to my phone but can't figure out how to install it using Android terminal emulator. Is there an alternative to T.E. I could use? It constantly telling me "permission denied" is very frustrating. Currently no computer so please make sure any advice is phone friendly. And any help with terminal emulator would be beyond great. But please keep it as simple as possible and pretend I'm 4 years old. I'm not kidding. Sorry this is sooooo long, it's my first post and this is about a quarter of what I wanted to ask. Thank you very much in advance.
The only help I can give you is don't be afraid to search google. Out of 7 billion people, atleast 1 other person would have had the same problem
For me was pretty simple: get to know your phone (use the subforuns to find yours) > get to know android on your phone > start experimenting.
And read, read, read!
Hello, I wanted to know what the Benefits of rooting an Asus Transformer Prime would be if you are not going to flash roms?
For me....
I only wanted to use proxydroid. I have a proxy server that need domain auth.
But since I routed it, I'm amazed by other applications that needs root access. From simple overclocking apps to more complete backups.
In the end its what you want or need. I needed to use a proxy server and if asus doesnt want to add that function fine... but then dont blame me for rooting mine..
Perhaps searching this forum, or searching general android forums will give you the answer more quickly.
kind of an open and big question.
the main answer is, more freedom to do what you want with certain applications.

I really just want to do A2SD, which I can do on my EVO 3d without rooting, is there a way to do this on the ASUS 300?
Hello and welcome to my 1st post!
I have been doing a lot of scouring this site's forums and guides trying to find my answers, but to no avail, but apologies if this is in the wrong place or has already been asked/answered.
I have recently purchased a cheap android tv box which has someone's custom rom etc loaded on it, running Android gingerbread 2.3.7.
I would like to use it for streaming video from websites and using some uk tv service apps, for example 4OD - so nothing to strenuous.
I have been trying to root the device in order to get some apps to work, and to generally learn more about Android, however the firmware seems to be really locked down already to prevent this, there is no option to turn on usb debugging as there is no developer tab under applications for example!
All the 1-click, no PC type rooting apps i have tried have failed as well.
Can anyone offer any advice how I can do this, or reload a more open rom onto the box, or anything really!
There was no manufacturer or anything on the outer case, but I have attached 2 screenshots with all the info I can find out about what kind of device it is and what it is running.
I realise this has become a bit of a long ramble, but I really would appreciate any help going, either by reply or PM.
Thank you very very much.
