Disabling fast dormancy that causes huge battery drain - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

For those who have fast dormancy related problems that show up often as huge inexplicable battery drain when using cellular data network (2g, 3g and 4g), it would be very useful to be able to disable fast dormancy!
Now I am asking if anyone of xda knows how to disable fast dormancy in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro, since the only tutorial that I know is for Xperia devices and it does not apply to Xiaomi devices.
I have already did a lot of searches on google, but since it really depends on the type of smartphone, I can't really tell what would work out of a lot of guides.
Help is needed here! Thanks in advance!

[Q] Fast dormancy on Cm 10.1 epinter

Hi,
I'm trying to extend my battery life. I read fast dormancy can extend my battery life significantly, but it depends on my device and mobile network provider.
Should i remove it? any one has tried it and can give me some feedback?
Thanks!

Which ROM for best performance & battery life?

Hi everyone,
I'm currently ussing the back-to-n00t v9 ROM (KitKat) together with Boeffla Kernel for a pretty long time. It was good at the beginning, although the rom had a few bugs (like the mobile data button not working sometimes and roaming mode disabling when disabling data causing roaming warnings). But for some time already, I'm getting kinda frustrated. The phone likes to lag sometimes, like when going out of some app to the home screen and everything loads again causing a terrible lag, or all the apps close in the background. Also many times when I want to unlock the phone I have to wait a few seconds because nothing works (can't draw the pattern). I'm looking for some simple ROM (not any Marshmallow stuff etc, I want to maintain stability and performance). I'd love to get some better performance, without lagging and having problems with the keyboard (like it's not showing because of low RAM or stuff like that). I'd also like to get some good battery life althought this isn't that of a priority because I have 2 batteries.
I don't want to flash Cyanogenmod because I want to keep the TouchWiz camera and stuff.
Which ROM would you suggest me? I saw some website recommending Revolutionary S5, although I don't like the idea of trying to make an old phone like the some new model, they claim it's super smooth and optimised. Is that true? I don't want to waste any more RAM because of some ****ty features from S5 that I'll never use.
Thanks in advance! Hope you can help me.
same here, I use RR + boeffla but it is sucking one and half battery a day, inactivity battery consume is the same as Whatsapp I use a lot, it seems to be active when not active.
Same problem with Lineage 14.1
Best ROM for me was a stock rooted ROM with unnecessary apps disabled.

VPN on Nougat (Battery drain)

Hey pals,
I don't use Nougat atm but I wonder why the battery drains like hell when I'm connected to any VPN service.
It can't be app related since I tested several apps on two Nougat devices.
Is there anyone who experienced the same?
Sent from my OnePlus 3T using Tapatalk
I do and I want to know if it's normal for a VPN to do this, there are some days where my battery doesn't drain but as far as I know the VPN was on the whole day.

Problem with Wifi speed

Hello to everyone. I've been using the S10 Lite for about one month (I received it Oct. 16) and since them I noticed something weird with my Wifi speed. I have a 200Mbps connection and 5GHz wifi, never had issue with internet speed on PC or my other phone (Redmi Note 6 Pro), but I noticed that my S10 Lite is slowing down my internet if I start downloading many apps or games, large files or downloadable contents in games, like PUBG maps, and the phone gets hot. The speed varies between 6-20Mbps, which I think is unacceptable for a phone with high-end hardware. Another weird stuff is that when I turn on the phone's router (don't need to connect any device to it, just turn on) the speed increases up to 50Mbps, but also drops under 30Mbps. I contacted Samsung through Samsung Members and they said it's normal, every phone will slow down when it heats, but I never had issues with my previous phone. I'm afraid that I'd need to get rid of Samsung official firmware to unlock my phone's full potential, because I don't want to. I noticed this phone has some agressive thermal throttling for the GPU and CPU, I think the issue with Wifi speed might be a software limitation too, but it's too anoying. Does anyone noticed something with their phones or know somehow to fix this? Thanks.

Question Redmi Note 10 High battery drain even when not using

Hi y'all .
Recently I got a Redmi Note 10 4/64 variant . I'm currently using my old phone Redmi 6A , while Redmi Note 10 just lies in desktops corner.
MIUI 12.0.1 , 5000 MAh and 33W .
I installed one game to try the performance , then cleared all the apps and went to sleep . In the morning , I saw more than %25 battery drained for almost no reason .
•I don't even use the phone
•Bootloader is unlocked
•The phone doesn't have a SIM inside , so it can't get signals would cause battery drain
•The phone doesn't have any apps installed besides stock ones . I only installed one game and two or three local shop apps.
•I always make sure nothing runs in the background(the way I use the phone)
Here is the graph
Edit : I can feel device's little heat even when posting this.
The phone call you see is made by my mom . I did let her borrow my phone one time , except that the phone doesn't have a SIM inside as I mentioned
Same here, Android system draining too much battery

Hi guys ,
As I am using the same phone and same varient(4/64) I can suggest some tips to save your battery.(working for both 4/64 & 6/128).
This measures can be applied in Redmi Note 10/ Pro / Pro Max also.
•You should turn off your Wifi / Mobile data when not in use otherwise apps like analytics play store etc. can run in the background and drain your battery.
•Uninstall the pre-installed apps which can be removed from your phone like Mi credit, Mi store etc. If possible change your keyboard to google keyboard(g board).
•Don't Software update your phone it may consume more memory and also cause to drain your battery faster than before.
•Go to setting search for Authorisation & revocation
And disable the permissions of apps like msa, MiuiDaemon, System apps updater, Get Apps, Updater.
•Then disable the following :
Disable it ↑
• Then open a folder and click on its name and disable promoted apps option.
I think I have covered everything. If anybody wants to add something just reply. I hope you find it helpful, if so please subscribe my youtube channel:
The road to great battery life doesn't require extreme restriction. Here you can see the power consumption results for my phone. I should mention that Wifi and GPS are permanently on. Synchronisation is also permanently enabled for Email, Messenger and Smart Life.
It consumes about 3% of the battery in 8 hours of standby time.
I use the Pixel Experience Plus ROM.
It is important not to use any functions that permanently (even during standby) monitor any of the sensors. Such as preventing waking up in the pocket.
I have disabled all automatic updates.

I've been tuning battery saving on smartphones since Android 2.1
Current hardware doesn't suffer as much from sustained discharge as it used to. Today, it is no longer necessary to turn off Wifi and GPS. But now it is advisable to reduce the CPU power in standby mode, because the manufacturer leaves the power at an increased frequency in the base to improve the phone's response.
