Hello Everyone, I am using Samsung Ace s5830i and since yesterday I am not able to make any calls, when I try to call a number it says "Mobile Network not available" but I can see good signal strength and I am also able to use GPRS. In the notification area it says "Emergency calls only".
I went to Settings -> mobile networks, when I try to manually select my operator(TATA Docomo, i'm from India) i get the error "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network".
I have removed the sim card, inserted in another mobile, it works fine. When I try try to insert a sim card of some other operator into ace I get the same errors listed above.
These are the things that I have tried.
1. Removed the sim card, battery inserted them back and restarted the phone
2. Restored my Nandroid backup
3. Complete factory reset
None of these worked and still I get the same error.
Information regarding the phone:
Model- Samsung Galaxy Ace s5830i rooted with CWM 5.0.2.6
Android version - 2.3.6
Mobile network type - GPRS
Network- TATA Docomo
Signal Strength - -90dBm
Service state - Out of service
Mobile network state - Disconnected
IMEI - Unknown
I have called Network provider they say fault is with the phone.
Any help would be really appreciated...

Re: Help "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network"
Just for the knowledge, what may be the reason for losing imei and does flashing stock rom retrieve my imei.
Sent from my GT-S5830i using xda app-developers app
possible reasons are many...i don't know what files did you flash? (Rom/kernel/scripts)
Cronmod script is known to have this issue...did you flash this script?
Flashing stock rom with odin will give back your imei!
What's your ROM/kernel? and what scripts did u flash?
Re: Help "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network"
I am using stock rom. No i didn't flash cronmod script. I'm not sure but i think problems started after installing Online Nandroid backup tool maybe it has installed some scripts, i'm not blaming the tool it is fanastic app to make nandroid backups.
Let me flash custom rom, hope problem goes off.

Not a right place to get technical helps , in regards of your ACE 3 issues ( Galaxy Ace S5830i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting)

I have a Sprint Galaxy Note 3, Model : SM-N900P. But I am living in Malaysia, I am suspecting the different CSC will not allow me to connect to my 4G network (I am sure I am within the 4G coverage area, and my SIM card is 4G enabled) My current CSC is XAS, My region CSC should be XME.
I downloaded the Malaysia Stock ROM "N9005XXUGNI4_N9005OLBGNL1_N9005XXUGNL1_HOME.tar.md5" and tried flashing it via Odin but failed. Odin tells Security check failed.
Can anyone advise how can I flashing the Malaysia Stock ROM into my Sprint Note 3, or if this is possible technically?
If flashing other country stock ROM is not possible technically, how about changing the CSC from XAS to XME? probably without Root.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.

Great to know some one in Malaysia using the same model! So are you using the latest stock Sprint N900PVPUDNK4 ROM? What is the network mode at your setting?
As for my case, my network (including cellular network) disconnected at all when I switch to LTE/CDMA mode which the only mode that has LTE. So I have to switch back to automatic to have phone and mobile data connected, however only H+ connection, but no LTE.
Please let me know your network mode setting… and also any setting you have made over APN?
Network is automatic, also only H+ only(suspected it's also 4G?), using latest stock of 4.4.4 NK4 with root.

HI Eric,
As far as what I know, H+ is definitely not LTE connection. LTE connection shows a "4G" sign at the task bar.
You have the same ROM as mine, stock NK4 (4.4.4). So the only LTE option you can choose in the network mode is LTE/CDMA. But referring to another note 3 of a friend of mine which bought locally via Maxis. The network mode should look like "LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connect)"
I then found a way to get my network mode set identical to this. Using root explorer, in system/csc/sales_code.dat. open this file using text editor, change the XAS to XME then save it, restart phone and you should get the network mode LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connect)
However, I still unable to achieve 4G connection, even when I'm in 4G area. Unless someone can confirm that SM-N900P is not 4G capable in different region (my region, Malaysia) due to hardware limitation, probably different 4G band frequency (I don't know)… or I should keep trying…
Still hoping someone who can help!

You may need to flash a Three modem
Read this: [REF] Galaxy S3 Modem / Radio Collection (I9300 & I9300T ONLY) CWM & Odin Flashable
To flash a new modem:
1. Download an official rom from http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ and extract the zip to md5 then extract the md5
2. In Odin, select “CP”(previously “Phone”) and fetch the modem.bin file
3. Only thing checked should be “Auto Reboot”
4. Put the phone in download mode, plug in USB, then in Odin hit Start
Hello All,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro (1 year old), which suddenly started showing "Emergency Calls Only" message with both SIM slots. No matter what SIM is used new or old or any provider it simply dont connect to netwrok. Other symptions are:
Singal strength is good.
Shows all available networks in manual search.
IMEI is valid and not stolen or spoofed. imei info shows everything alright.
In status shows Network = Unknown, Service State = Out of service
Things I have tried:
Factory reset, hard reset from recovery, data wipe etc.
CWM with custom roms like Trans-K and TransWin
Rooted and changed CSC type from INS to INU
Installed latest official firmware from SamMobile
But nothing helped till now. Please suggest what to do now. Service provide says problem is with your phone and SIM is perfectly fine works with other phones.
Thanks,

SIM card problem reselect network take out sim and insert again
So I have installed the latest stock firmware on my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge (Android 6.0.1).
I have inserted my SIM (Romanian carrier, Orange) and it asks for my PIN code, but it doesn't connect to the network for some reason. I tried Googling and everything, but every post said that I should change the network mode, and that's there I found the possible reason my device doesn't connect to the network.
I am missing GSM and WCDMA from the network mode list, does anybody have any idea how I could enable them?
Before upgrading, my SIM card worked just fine.
Thank you.
EDIT: xda-developers doesn't let me add links to pictures...so here's the imgur link with two spaces in it http:/ /imgur.com/ a/FCwst
EDIT 2: I have installed the latest firmware using Samsung Kies, no fancy Odin flashing, so this is the official firmware.
