Hello!
I would like to know if there is a version of TWRP that is capable of recognizing files of an SD card that is being used as adoptable storage. I don't know why but ALKA TWRP cannot find files in my SD card. It seems that this is because the file structure is different... I am not sure about the technical terms.
Thank you!

Hi,
I just updated from kitkat to MM. I have installed TWRP first and made a backup. After that, i could never see my sd card again in TWRP.
Now most of the apps can't find my sd card anymore.
Some do though. They can access the data, but then if you look for the card in the app it's not there.
Now I found out that this is the path to the SD card :
storage/9C33-6BBD
But some apps simply dont work with that path and say i have no sd card.
Solid explorer identifies it as the external sd card.
Why is that and what can I do about it?
Thanks
Hi,
I have rooted my moto e2 3g version and installed cm13 (6.0.1). Now I used the adoptable storage option and made my 32 GB Samsung memory card as my internal storage.
But when I tried to flash some other files using twrp, my ext-card and my sdcard are empty.
My sdcard contain only twrp folder.
But when I power on my phone and every thing is fine. I think twrp is not adopted for adoptable storage. Please someone find a solution for this.
Update your twrp to latest version
So i have this little question. If i install my sd card as internal storage can i then still flash custom roms? I was thinking maybe the sd card will think my phone is a different one if i install a custom rom?
Thanks
Good question.
I'm currently using my SD card as adopted storage in CM13 and TWRP is able to see files on the SD card just fine.
However, after flashing the ROM, I'm not sure if Android will pick up that the card is adopted storage and just pull in the apps, or if it will make you format the SD card. I would think that the latter would only apply after a wipe of /data, but hopefully someone can chime in with actual experience on the matter.
Hello all!
I had to do a factory restore to unlock the sim card for my phone. After this I proceeded to doing a TWRP restore and for some reason the partition on my SD card that has all my apps is not being recognized anymore.. When the phone booted it thought my sd card was new? I did noticed that my internal storage is wiped. I have to assume something is missing? Is there any way to manually allow android access to this adoptable storage partition? I am fully rooted and on CFW.
Information:
Galaxy S5
Android 6.0.1
NOTE: My SD card is formatted with adoptable storage.
It appears that adoptable storage utilizes a .key file in the data\misc\vold folder - even doing a twrp backup it came up blank - it seems twrp does not back this up?
wtf - is there ANY way to recover this at this point??
Hi, I have formatted my SD card as internal storage using viperOs 3.1 but now I can't access it through TWRP recovery 3.2.1. Only some folders appear, but the downloads folder for example won't. What can be the cause of this?
Use the mount option in TWRP
