Antutu Score / Different Roms - Xiaomi Mi 5 Guides, News, & Discussion

OmiROm (7.1.2) 100.005 98.573
PureNexus (7.1.2) 100.480 99.569
RR Remix (5.8.3) 97.736 103.108

Xiaomi ROM seems optimized, right?
The tests were made on fresh installs and airplane mode on.
The phone is 3GB/64GB (PRO).
Feel free to post your scores under the same conditions.

I'm on Global Dev rom, just did the test out of curiosity, 127,999... Not a big difference with EU rom...

this is 32 or 64GB model? either way, they are way too low i feel, and if it is 64gb + model, heck is really really low
except on the xiaomi official rom, that is sort of high for the 32gb model, low for the 64gb+

Mine is 64GB, not a fresh installed rom...

Temperature phone make antutu score different, so dont fotget to cooling your phone before test to get best score

Really doesn't depend on the ROM. I got this score with AICP running Xceed kernel. Clocked at 2.15/1.6 GHz, GPU at 624MHz and setting performance governors and adjusted thermals. It's your kernel, the ROM won't make too much of a difference.
Now I've happily underclocked it to 1.6/1.2GHz and 510MHz and using it with good stability
EDIT: It's the 32 GB standard variant with 3GB RAM

Depends of the rom, but on stock MIUI i was stuck on 118K aprox, i have the 32GB Model so, it is even capped on the frequencies, now on OctOS and using Xceed i get 150K (using BFQ) or 145K (using NOOP), but always since custom roms, i always get more than 140K using Xceed
anyways probably i would use MIUI but with a custom kernel that let me go to 2.1Ghz to CPU and 624Mhz to GPU

Freshly taken from my xiaomi.eu 8.2.2.0 (64GB model):
Mods:
CPU governor: ondemand
GPU governor: simple_ondemand
I/O scheduler: noop

Hi,guys,It depends on many things: ROM, temperature, connection / wifi and data /, downtime, number of installed applications, settings, etc ...
I am with global version stock 8.1.2.0,and have model Xiaomi Mi 5 of 3GbX64Gb,2.15Ghz and score in the best conditions is next below.I think is really, very good Benchmark. We have a really good terminal.I think with Lineage ROM this result can go up even more.
Best regards

That's a nice number!
Usually Floppy has schedutil Cpu governor and max core speed, that makes it very snappy.
Did you notice any battery drain or overheating in games?

What benchmark scores are you getting on your Mini Pro?

Hey everybody! I love my Mini Pro but it seems to be running really slow lately. I notice it gets hot sometimes (especially when tethering) and I'm starting to wonder if the heat has damaged my phone and slowed it down...
Using AnTuTu Benchmark Free (v2.9) I get a score of 2918
Using Quadrant Standard Free (v2.1.1) I get a score of 1313
So how does your Mini Pro compare?
I'm still on Gingerbread (no ICS for me yet) and the benchmark apps are saved in the phone memory (not on the memory card)
It seems to be running slower. My Scores (Stock Gingerbread):
AnTuTu Benchmark 2.9 - 3265
Quadrant Standard - 1497
Do you have a lot of apps? Where they running while you run the benchmarks?
my scores :
Using AnTuTu Benchmark Free v2.9 - 4008
ROM : real ICS r5.2
kernel : boot mango lite v3
overclocked to 1,5 GHz
Real ICS 5.2 on MESA 1. 4 kernel scores 3200 on antutu.
Real ICS on xtended kernel scores 2700
No overclock.

Hi
Before going into benchmarking, do you see something wrong in logs (read them with catlog app), things like as many errors?
Did you ckeck for running apps that could eat cpu, produce heat, and slow the device?
Ending all apps that are eating cpu!

yes u should !!!
i got the score : 3992 with cm9 kernel fxp 130 (no overclock)...
Ok, now I'm worried... Where should I check first ?
- I already checked the logs (with aLogcat), and did not found too many errors (Something about AudioHardwareMSM)
- I looked at the processor business (very approximate translation (found in developers options)), but I fear I'm not the best at reading the result. Is this like the top command in linux (with the CPU load for 1, 5, 15 minutes) ?
- Lastly I took a look at the battery usage. Nothing incredible here, but could have gave a hint...
Oh I forgot : I'm using the interactive governor.

What about battery life ?
Well, I'm going to test, but what I need is a mobile/wireless phone .
Oh, and one more thing : I did not kill any app. Just rebooted the phone before testing : I want to know what my phone can do with all I need activated.
OK, I see a lot of ppl are worried cuz of their score....
That's BS if you ask me. What counts is you experience with the phone. Is it fluid, fast, responsive etc.
Say if you have a scoreof 4K, but the phones is sluggish. What's the point with these opsessive benchmarks then.
It's nice to know your score, but it does not mean that your phone is better than a phone with lower score.
One time, after I applied some tweaks my score dropped from 3K to 2700. And I don't care cuz the phone was faster. Regardless of the score.
TL,DR:
Take your scores as a reference only. Your phone can be fast and responsive even with a 2700 score.
Benchmarks are stress tests. It does not measure user experience

The answer to ur problem is : download a stock rom and flash it...(with flashtool of course)...U'll be fine... :good::good:
OR if have recovery installed : do a factory reset and wipe user data and dalvik cache (instead of flashing)

[Q] Antutu Benchmark

HI!
And I want to know how to earn high score in AntuTu Benchmark.
Now my phone (SGSIII (GT-I9300) ) taking 15500 score. But here I'm seeing 22000 or 21200 scores.
So Can I earn such score to my phone.
Using roms like Omnirom or CM11 and with its kernels antutu gives about 18300-18600. This roms with Googy's kernel, about 19000. And using Yank's kernel , that overcloks at 1600, it gives 21200-21500.

Register and download from here.
I'm getting 23000 with the latest ArchiPort and agni kernel.
Antutu score means jack **** anyway, I wouldn't recommend neither striving to achieve a higher score nor bothering tweaking your phone to raise it, especially with DVFS.
Highest score
My highest score was 21 500 in Antutu.
Omega ROM v58 and Boeffla kernel overclocked and higer voltage CPU & GPU
Edit: But I think this is completely useless. And I undervolt CPU & GPU for better battery life
I'm getting 20060 with Beanstalk Rom and Boeffla kernel, without overclocking and playing with the voltages. Anyway I think something was changed in the latest versions of Antutu since I used to get about 18000 with the exact same combination of Rom/kernel/settings

[MOD] Android 5.0 Lollipop UC Voltages!!!!

Lollipop is here as we all know it and with that brings great batterylife given the rom is properly tuned and debugged. in my previouse MOD post i had provided UC Voltages for 4.4.4 TW and below which where decent but not good enough for me. so i waited and waited. Finally there is hope for the stock batterylife now! Some of you may know Temasek he is a well known dev and an awsome one at it! he has been developing for the phone for quite some time now and has released a series of builds of CM12 Which is amazing!! the very latest Kernel he produced for Android 5.0.1 is the best yet and these voltages will work perfect with it. i will try everyday to continuously drop the voltages even lower for the maximum batterylife. with these voltages i have now we will get a 20% increase in batterylife.
HERE ARE THE VOLTAGES You can enter them with Setcpu or whichever you prefer to input these in. in my opinion SETCPU has been the best.
Set your clockspeeds to 1728max and 300min
1728MHz 810mV
1574MHz 800mV
1497MHz 790mV
1267MHz 780mV
1190MHz 770mV
1036MHz 760mV
960 MHz 750mV
883 MHz 740mV
729 MHz 735mV
652 MHz 730mV
422 MHz 720mV
300MHz 720mV
I will post updates as i get them in from testing!!! for now? Enjoy the beast of a phone with Temaseks outstanding 5.0 rom and kernel.

Thank you for the answer I will try it out. Again no disrespect was meant towards anyone. I see @Chaz187 us eying this to any possibilities of a theme?
Enlighten me on the theme what are you talking about

ROMs and Kernels - Which are you running and why?

What's YOUR Set-Up?
Hello everyone, like most people here on XDA, I enjoy switching between ROMs and Kernels
while keeping an eye out for a daily driver that I like best.
If you have any other ROM/Kernel combinations that you enjoy and think others might also enjoy,
please feel free to share them here and explain why it's awesome!
 :good:
Currently I'm running:
Device: Nexus 6P - 32 GB - Aluminum (If you're curious )
ROM: Chroma (11/27) latest with SElinux Enforcing
Kernel: ElementalX (0.09) latest [SElinux Enforcing option ticked.]
Small Cluster - 1708 MHz (max)
Large Cluster - 2054 MHz (Max)
Govenor - ElementalX
Min. CPU Frequency - 480 MHz
Max. CPU Frequency - 1824 MHz
GPU: Max = 600 MHz / Min = 180 MHz / Governor = msm-adreno-tz
I/O Scheduler - FiOPS
Color Settings (EX app) from top to bottom: 205, 215, 256, 31, 133, 134, 0.
What I'm looking for out of a ROM/Kernel combo is great battery life and great performance, with some fun features but definitely minimal. So if you feel your setup matches these wants, and you don't mind sharing it here with me as well as others who may be looking for a similar setup, please do so!
I, as well as most others on this forum, would also be happy to help troubleshoot any problems you may be experiencing with your ROM/Kernel combo to the best of our abilities but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to fix your phone and the responsibility of the device lies with you, the user.
I'm stock with ElementalX (default settings) and gravity box, gives me all the tweaks I need and a good balance of battery life and performance. I can't cope with all the hassle involved in switching between roms: two stage security and android wear factory resets and the like.

I see, I'll read and watch some YouTube videos before proceeding with caution. Is it going to be posted here on XDA or elsewhere?
So I'm running pure nexus rom and elementalx kernel. The reason I'm running this is fairly simple. I'm on project fi and pure nexus has integrated fi support (force switching to sprint or t-mo) so I don't have to use the fi spy app... And I use the integrated screen color option on the elementalx kernel to adjust the screen color as I prefer a cooler screen...
Cm13 is out. Nightly builds started today. Just go to CMs website to down load the latest nightly.
Stock because it works great. I haven't rooted yet either. There really isn't much need for that now a days. The phone is great and runs well. I wish the battery lasted longer, but the fast charging makes up for the lack of a large battery.
Device: Nexus 6P - 128 GB - Graphite
ROM: Stock with SElinux Enforcing
Kernel: ElementalX (0.08) latest [SElinux Enforcing option ticked.]
Small Cluster Max Freq - 1632MHz (+1)
Large Cluster Max Freq - 2054 MHz (Max overclock with kernel)
Govenor - ElementalX

Same story here. CM12 AND 12.1 left such a bad taste in my mouth on my last phone, that I promised myself I would stay stock on the 6p for as long as possible. Not having to nandroid once a day, modify my system folder, and flash 3 files every other day is so refreshing after 7 years of that. I do miss adblocking, but I'm adjusting.

with cpu SPY i notice my kate never goes OVER 1400mhz. why?

i have KATE.
i installe dfrom the play store 3 apps, cpu spy, cpu sply + and cpu spy reloaded.
then i used the phone... and tested it with geekbench and antutu. ok..... the apps show that i NEVER used the 400mhz freq and i neved went over 1400mhz.
BUT SD650 should go up to 1,8ghz!!!!
what is the problem? i noticed this bug on the rom with i received the phone miui 7.3 then in this actual 8.0.5.0 stable.
Just to be sure, i am in this moment updating with OTA to the latest 8.1.3.0 for my KATE
The Redmi Note 3 SD version has 6 cores, but only 2 of them can hit near 1.8GHz. The other 4 run around 1.4GHz. Also, with the stock MIUI ROM/kernel, I think the minimum frequency for the 4 little cores is 600+ MHz.
so, the app does not see the 2 more powerfull cores?
You should use kernel adiutor mod if you want to change governors or frequencies
P.s miui sucks
