help!!! replace chinese os etc. - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

ok so thanks in advance yall this one really has me stuck. my sis ub law wanted me to fix her chinese version tab 3 but only thing is that its stuck in a black screen but it will charge and boot to download i cant find any info on the web nowhere...plz help, thanks alot

Wrong forum... but I'd say if you can get it to connect because USB has to be in MT mode or something for it to connect. Use kies to flash stock firmware or find the correct .md5 file and flash using Odin. I am not responsible if you flash the wrong thing....

If Odin can detect your phone then you should be able to flash your phone with it regardless what the screen looks like.
Can you help me how to do it? I have Samsung Galaxy Gio S-5660 GT
If you will turn my phone on, I promise to pay you.

Well you said Odin detects your phone still right? You should be able to find Odin flashable firmware for your phone and flash as usual.

If Odin detects your phone then there might be a chance to flash a new rom to your device.
Go to samfirmware.com and find an rom/firmware for your phone... Then download it and flash it using one package techinque in odin. If you need more help post your phone model, it might help for better reply ...

Go to this link and get yourself a good rom/kenel that is for your region's device. Then try to flash it using one package option in ODIN in download mode.
You can also find a guide on flashing your rom @ samfirmware.com/guides.htm

I9100G update failure.

Dear All,
I'm in a critical situation,My device is totally stopped working when I have tried to flash a custom ROM (I9100GJPKH8_i9100GDZKH5) to my Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100G but the process failed and can't go further even I'm not able to restart my device the only option to restart is to remove the battery and once i do that i got message telling me that "software update fail" and it won't allow me to go to ODIN menu.
I have searched the net for the original ROM for my device model but with no luck ( Original ROM is: I9100gzcki1_i9100gozhki1_chn)
I seek your help in order to get my device back to work.
Thank you
So you can't enter in recovery-mode? Do u have a USB-JIG?
Check this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1457458
Yeah, I'm not able to go to recovery mode.
what is USB-JIG?
Thanks for reply
I think u will be able to get into download mode. Try to get in there and download a custom rom for I9100G and not I9100 understand and flash using Odin. Hope it will help u.

OK. If you can get into download mode (turn phone off. Then hold down the home button & the volume down button. Keep holding these down then hold down the power button), go to Sammobile & download a I9100G stock rom & flash this in Odin following whatever instructions Sammobile have for flashing stock roms downloaded from there.
If you can't get into download mode there's a slim chance a jig might get you into download mode.
There's a thread over in the General section where people have offered to let other people use their jigs. You might want to have a look at that thread & see if there's someone close to you who might be able to help you out rather than you buying a jig on eBay & waiting for it to turn up in the mail.
You can diy one.

If you tried to flash a custom rom ANYTHING other than Juffo rom based on DZJk2 for Gingerbread on a I9100G using odin and you cannot get into download mode... you probably soft bricked your phone.
Buy a USB-jig (basically a microUSB connected to a resistor, there are multiple videos on Youtube you can make one urself or order it online)
Insert the USB-jig into the phone while its powered off, and you should be able to get into download mode automatically.
Go find the original Stock rom and flash it back and look up how to properly backup/and root your device + using custom rom.
There are not many I9100G roms out there, theres the Juffo Rom and the Dark rom for "ICS experience" if i am correct, someone can correct me on this.
** if a USB jig does not turn your phone on or boot into download mode... and your phone is powered off... you hard bricked the phone, and should go see a JTAG service to unbrick your phone.
Galaxy rom rc3 works great. Try out with Lucifr 1.21kernel.

[Help me] Unbrick haipai i9389 (mtk6589)

Hi all, unfortunately, i have bricked my phone, and it now can't turn on..
I have a backup of the software(My friend gived me it), but when i put it in SP Flash Tool, i see only the red bar, then the program don't flash anything..
My computer see the phone as "MTK USB Port (COM6)"..
Is this the problem maybe?
Please help me..
Sorry for my bad english, I'm italian..
#UP
No one can help me please?
Did you use MTK droid tools to make a backup? I know you may have done this all ready, but did you download the drivers and checked in device manager on your computer to see if you can see the phone? Sometimes if you remove the battery, and connect it to the computer. (with a good USB lead ) it should install the phones drivers. Did you also install adb on your computer? As if you did, you should be able to get into recovery. By typing adb reboot recovery and it should boot into c.w.m. recovery. Hope this helps. I'm still getting used to mine. Sorry I can't help with more advice, hopefully someone on here can help.

Flash stock firmware from sammobile.com or samsungupdates.com
Via Odin after reading some guides in stickies and check if any hardware is faulty if not then you can reroot and flash a new recovery.
Press thanx if i helped you in anyway...

I think you will find returning to stock with odin won't work it looks like a hardware problem (need new motherboard) try returning to stock as suggest but I am pretty certain this is a service center repair...:fingers-crossed:
When i flash the last 4.3, odin show me a message of fail after 2 seconds.
When i add the pit file, odin stuck in "GET pit for mapping"...
I'm thinking that is a hardware fault...
Thx for help

Trying root

Hello , I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 GT-P7510 and i tried to root using a guide from this forum . After odin injected ''recovery.tar.md5'' everything was ok , but when i tried to open recovevery mode to unzip i can see only many letters on blue and back passing too fast , so nothing could be read and right after this my tablet turned off and when i turned on everything was in Chinese , Help me pls ! I'm very confused
I'm pretty sure you'll need to flash the US bootloader in Odin to fix the rolling screen. Search around in the forum and you'll find the file you need. And don't worry, your tablet isn't broken, it's just a bit "confused". Flash that bootloader and it will just fine. If you can't find the file just let me know and I'll dig it up from my office computer tomorrow.
