Introduction: - Read it carefully ...
So guys i compiled the native Lollipop which Google pushed yesterday ^^
It does not contain any gapps, bootanimation or bloatware, so do not expect too much
This build needs to be flashed via Fastboot! (Tutorial below)
The Rom is designed for interested users which want to know whats coming to their smartphones
and maybe some custom rom creators aswell
Feel free to customize it however you want.
Aswell you need to flash this directly onto the Android L Developer Preview.
Please do not spam rom creators and inform them about the image i posted here - it annoys them
Little fastboot tutorial:
- open command window
- type "fastboot flash system system.img"
- type "fastboot flash userdata userdata.img"
- type "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
- type "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
- type "fastboot flash cache cache.img"
- type "fastboot reboot" and enjoy the little over-look experience
For custom rom creators i recommend Ext4 Unpacker for windows. It's free, btw, rom is deodexed.

Awesome, thanks! Gonna give these a try.
Thanks a lot
So now it's a stable release ?
so is it a fully functional ROM
i mean would it be identical to Google's Factory image that will be released or what?
Thanks man!
Made in Germany, I love it

No, its missing all of google's apps and play store. It just includes a few basic apps like browser/sms/phone/gallery/email/calender/camera and so forth.
Just a idea, is it possible to combine this with the nexus 9 factory image?

It would be better to pull the gapps from the n9 factory image.
I don't want to mess too much with my phone as I just learned my lesson. Thank you though!! Feedback would be great.

Maybe you could explain how you did it? I am currently building 5.0 as well. How did you do the device binaries?

I'm assuming he copied all the missing binaries from the preview image.
I'm going to give this a shot right now. My N5 isn't my main device at the moment, so why not.
Edit: And it's up and running. Pure AOSP, but very cool.

Nothing much different appearance wise. Device flys since it's very lightweight with no google services. Getting playstore from apk mirror to install a few things.
Edit: Won't let me open the file after it downloaded.

Play Store app needs Google Play Services to work placed in the system.
Could you try using the Root method on the last Developer Preview and see if its working?

You probably need Play Services for it to work.

Plus gapps framework
Hello everyone, after a great success on building roms for bacon device. I've decided to share my work with other devices. So now I share with hammerhead. After positive feedback on the rom today I'll publish here the rom.
Kernel and Device tree are untouched so everything should be working smoothly. You can use a custom kernel in case you like, but i'll only give support to stock kernel as I do not yet own an device. So CM bugs are basically also our bugs, and from what I know there is none. Still I'm open to suggestions.
Download
GAPPS
Features:
Updated SQL to 3.11.0.0
Optimized SQL code for faster Read/Write
CM Super User (for now is the most stable one)
Kernel with F2FS support
Improved Code of frameworks
Optimized Build with custom toolchain on ROM and Kernel
Optimizations for our chip
Improved sound with speex resampler
Improved bionic with many optimized libraries (faster rom)
Improved Art with upstream patches
Optimized native frameworks for our device
LZMA updated to the latest
Proguard 5.2.1
Google Webview
F2FS ready for data and cache
Immersive mode
Expanded Notifications
CAF Task Manager
Snapdragon Camera
Network Monitor
More coming soon
I'm a very praticle user, and my aim will be to get a very fluid stable system, at same time with speed and battery, keeping most stock possible with the optimizations which will improve for real our experience.
Thanks

Please flash supersu. I have to see how to address this. Haven't found yet a suitable solution. Sometimes seems to work. Other times doesn't work.

Any idea what could be causing the issue? I wonder how the other ROMs along with mini GAPPS work.
I'm not sure if I'm doing anything wrong; or has TWRP 3 screwed up something?

This can be tricky, especially in modern android where you have a choice to make: Do you want an almost all Google OS or do you want AOSP OS?
These days, when you install your gapps, it uninstalls the CM apps unless you only use PICO. (which is just the basic for playstore functionality) Google will replace stock apps like Calendar, Calculator, Launcher, Browser, Clock, etc.
Personally, I try to limit Google and use AOSP, but the choice is yours.

No worries, there are a lot of hardware functionality issues. The camera doesn`t work etc...what can i do?
Go to http://opengapps.org/ and choose ARM architecture, the select 7.0 (android version). The choice of package is yours, but I personally like to use the aroma package. Even tough the touch functionalities sometimes glitch and I need to use the volume keys, you can choose everything you want, from apps to install to if you want to remove ROM default apps.

I personally love ResurrectionRemix because of its stability and customizability. About LineageOS I can't say much, since I only used that for something like 2 weeks, just to test.
I agree RR is one of the better ROMs.

If you get that error while installing RR(or any other ROM), it means that the installer script checked if your device is compatible with that ROM and it is not. Did you download the right ZIP for your device?
I think you can also get that error if you didn't wipe the necessary partitions. Usually you need wipe "/system", "/data" and "/cache". Make sure to make a backup of them before wiping.

I´m installing the original firmware now. I wipe dalvik/cache, cache, system and data. Maybe it´s not. I downloaded the rom from the RR website. https://sourceforge.net/projects/resurrectionremix/?source=typ_redirect is this one compatible with S6?

arm64 a-only MoKee
I don't recommend using it though, as MoKee ROMs are known to contain suspicious closed-source applications built-in…

Android apps can be build with 4gb ram on linux (They shouldn't be too big, though since 4gb is 4gb after all...).
