I'm requesting help with the lg spree. I've accidentally killed the recovery and now its stuck at boot "secure boot error"
i cant find a thread for this device, nor can i find proper .kdz firmware for this phone. I have been able to communicate with it in download mode using python scripts. and it shows up in lgup but stops at 4 % stating wrong firmware.
I need help to try to get past this because its not warrantied and in its current condition its a paperweight.
so i'm open to any ideas .

Hello,
What Firmware version was on your phone? I had 10i and I totally bricked the phone. All I have is the download mode and I can't flash any older files and everytime I try 10i the app just crash!
Did you try the software recovery through LG Bridge? Provided that it finds your phone, it should be able to do a restore to the correct firmware. It will take time to download the software off the server. I had this happen to me with the screen showing "download" etc. Taking the battery out did not help so the only way was for me was LG Bridge. I hope this works for you.
Hello, I have a bricked Virgin Mobile LG LS665; here's how it happened
The LG LS665 recently got an OTA update. However, my phone was rooted, so I could not apply the update. The patch was failing because some of the system partition files had been modified. I found out that the original versions of the modified files had been backed up by the tool I used to root my phone, and thinking myself clever, I restored the original files, and applied the patch. Of course, this didn't work, and my phone got stuck at the LG logo whenever it tried to boot.
When I tried to boot it into recovery, it would give the error "Secure Boot Error 1006" and reboot to the LG logo. From what I gather, this boot error comes from the bootloader not recognizing the boot image. Dang. Not one to give up, I searched for unbrick solutions for the LG LS665, and found some. Unfortunately, the only methods I could find were for the Boost Mobile version of the phone. Reckless as I am, I decided to try the Boost Mobile unbrick process, but only managed to brick by phone harder. As a new member, I can't post a link to the unbrick process, but it involved flashing a .tot system image with LGFlashTool. I may be wrong, but my research leads me to believe the process failed because the partition tables for the Boost Mobile version and Virgin Mobile version of the phone are different.
Now my phone will not display any boot screen; I can't get it into normal, recovery, or download mode. When plugged into my computer, Windows device manager lists the phone as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008". Googling that device name brings up a few tutorials of how to revive devices in this dire state, but none that seem to work without a correct system image. I believe it is possible to unbrick my poor phone, but I am not knowledgeable enough to figure it out on my own. If anyone with a clue what to do is willing to help me, I would be very grateful.
In summary, what I think I need:
Some sort of system image for the Virgin Mobile version of the LS665. (I think a .tot or .kdz file)
A kind, knowledgeable soul to point me in the right direction
Thank you for hearing my lengthy plea,
Grant Moyer

Would be forever in your debt

sorry dude but your phone is hard bricked your going to have to buy a new device.
I have a LG K7 MS330 whose software was not working properly. Looking for a solution, I found that there were several firmware updates of this terminal (I had the version 10e compilation), which basically consisted of more recent versions of compilation distributed in kdz files. I proposed to download the latest update available ensuring I download the file corresponding to the smartphone region (MTP in my case).
So, I downloaded the file MS33010k_00_0405.kdz, the tool LGUP 1.14.3 and the file LGUP_MS330.dll version 0.1.2.7. I connected the phone to the PC and started the process.
At 99% the installation failed. However, I could still enter in download mode. So, I download an older version, the MS33010h_00_1021.kdz and repeated the process. This time I got no error.
However, when I finished, my phone went into hardbrick mode. Check the battery and no problem, even charging perfect inside the phone. I do not think the device has any problem with hardware as it worked before. The only life signal I have now from the device is connecting it via USB to PC and press the VOL +, VOL- and POWER buttons simultaneously. In this way, Windows recognizes it as "unknown usb device".
I would be grateful to anyone who can help me with this problem. Regards
