I need to restore my IMEI number on my P9000E phone but, I couldn't find a way to do it. Apperently, P9000 methods do not apply to P9000E. In addition, I couldn't find how to root my phone. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

You need Maui meta 3g to restore imei numbers. However you need a file that comes with the stock ROM to restore it. Just search for tutorials on Google/YouTube for Maui meta 3g. The procedure is in general the same for all mtk phones
This vid is showing imei restore with a p9000. Same procedure for the p9000e or any mtk phone
1. Unzip Maui META, install it on the PC then run as Administrator. It should be installed to Program files or Program files (x86) folder depending on your PC's architecture.
2. Wait till the Maui META dashboard appears with a red circle. Under Connection Type, select the option which best describes your device
3. Click Reconnect at the top-right corner. The color of the circle should start changing between red and green. Switch off the phone (still with battery inside) and connect it to the PC without holding any button on the phone.
4. The phone should boot up then get stuck at boot animation. Not to worry,its in META mode. The circle should now be yellow in color, indicating that the phone has been successfully detected
5. In the Get version box, click Get target version to confirm that the phone has been detected. The phone's details should appear
6. You can now minimize the Get version box
7. Click on the dropdown at the top left corner and select IMEI download
8. The IMEI Download box should pop up. Click on Change NVRAM Database File
9. In the window that pops up, navigate to the location of the BPLGUInfo file (often named like BPLGUInfoCustomAppSrcP_MT65**...), select it then click Open
10. You should see the path to the DB file under NVRAM Database File. Click SIM_1 or SIM_2 depending on which you wish to write IMEI to. Now, enter the first 14 digits of the IMEI you wish to write. The digit entered in the CheckSum box will be the 15th digit of the IMEI. Once done, click Download To Flash (If IMEI keeps disappearing after factory reset then try clicking Upload From Flash instead)
11. Once the IMEI has been successfully written to the selected SIM slot on the phone, you should see a message at the bottom saying Download IMEI to flash successfully
12. Switch off the phone either by taking out then reinserting the battery or holding the power button till it goes off. Once off, boot up the phone and dial *#06# to confirm that the IMEI was successfully written to the phone

i try flash romania 2.3.3 to my indian 2.2.2 intialy it creat boot loop just go only up to android logo ramain as it is phone not start.so i then flash v10b to start phone again .then i again try to flash romania 2.3.3 but error code 500 come in kdz updater .so i try all three mode in kdz updater .but errr code 1002,500,2 like 2-3 type of error occur in kdz updater.phone in emergency mode with yellow screen.then i remove bettery try to again access bootloader mode .but i saw that phone is completely dead .not getting emergecy mode no white light on pressing key menu .charger not working, kdz say phone not connected .lgmdp.exe cant find phone . service center say u have to change your pcb circuit.is any way i able to detect my phone in my pc win 7

man u already made ur phone suffered badly
try to take off battery fr some time and than follow error guide if that helps ,when it was stuck at lg logo u just need to switch off and press 3 combo button volup+home+power that would have solved it and loaded the rom

if ur successfull ur phone may get the fastboot option on.then install a recovery by following this
1. Install android SDK from Google.
2. Connect the phone while it is on fastboot.
3. If your windows does not find the fastboot drivers online, use the drivers in this link:

4. extract the .zip file that you copied to your SD. The one that contains the recovery.
5. Copy the recover.img (or whatever the name of the .img file in the .zip file) to the folder inside the android sdk where fastboot.exe is located (I think its the tools folder)
6. Copy the adbwinapi.dll file from the android SDK\platform-tools\ to the folder containing fastboot.
7. issue the command (and replace recovery.img with the .img file name you have):
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot

Load KDZ(ROM) and flash your phone.
At the end of the process :-
1) Disconnect the USB cable from the phone
2) Press the three button combo i.e volume up + home + power button(This will hard reset your phone which is strongly recommended when you use KDZ

I take to lg and my phone is under warranty they change my board and now it is working.but doing software update by kdz how it dead my phone .kdz is horrible and it is say phone not connected

You can't enter the "Fastboot mode" , Your phone screen is black.
You can't do anything to fix this , just go to LG , and they will change ALL Things inside your phone ( A.K.A your Phone MAIN )

1. Enter in engenieer mode with : *#*#3646633#*#*
2. Go to Connectivity > CDS Information > Radio Information > Phone 1
3. At "AT+" line add : EGMR = 1,7,"my_first_IMEI_code"
4. Clic on "SEND AT" button below
5. At "AT+" line add a second time : EMGR = 1,10,"my_second_IMEI_code"
6. Clic on "SEND AT COMMAND" button below a second time
7. Reboot phone
8. Verify codes with *#06#* if IMEI codes are ok

2. Latest version of MTK Droid Boot & Tools or at minimum version 2.4.8
3. A Backup made with MTK Droid Boot & Tools while rooting

Part One:
1. Start MTK Droid Boot & Tools and go to root, backup, recovery.
2. Press "To prepare Blocks for Flash Tool".

Iin your MTK Droid Boot & Tools backup folder is a file "nodl_secro.bin". This is the same file like secro.img. it has another name because it comes from ext4 filesystem.
5. Tick the SEC_RO entry and use the nodl_secro.bin from your MTK Droid Boot & Tools backup folder.

Lets bring back your Phone:
1. Remove the Battery from your phone and disconnect your phone from USB
2. Recheck if PRELOADER is UNCHECKED and press "Download"

3. Insert your Battery
4. Plug your USB cable while you press volume up or down hold the button until i write to release (may differ on device (try the other volume button when at 5 nothing happens))
5. SP Flash Tool starts to send data to your phone. You see a red bar and after the red a violet bar at bottom of SP Flash Tool.
6. After the violet bar you see a yellow bar. Now you can release the volume button.
7. When flashing was sucessfull a new smal window with a green circle will pop up.
8. Eat a gummybear. You have deserved.
9. Unplug your USB and remove the Battery, wait 10 seconds and insert your Battery.
10. Start your Phone
Now you should have your IMEIs back and your Phone should work mormal.

I get to the last part "bring phone back" step 4. SP Flash Tool Does not pick up my device (Nothing happens) i tried volume up and volume down, nothing. Volume Up enters recovery, Volume Down shows me yellow text saying "factory mode" but nothing :/
Edit: PDANet driver installed btw

I'm on step 3, by the way, and I encountered a problem. My computer seems to not recognize my device when downloading files using SP Flash Tool. I already have the drivers installed (PDANet, mtk VCOM, and Android Universal Drivers) but my device still cannot be detected.
It is detected though when I plug it in using MTK Droid Root and Tools so I'm thinking I have the right drivers installed. It's just that when using SP Flash Tools, it kinda goes under the radar. Do you happen to know why this is?

until now i never got sp flashtool running correct on 8 or 8.1.
the phone disconnected itself from PC before anything could happen.

I'm on Windows 7, but that happens to me too. The driver shows up in Device Manager, then disappears after about a second. Do I need to install another driver? Am I missing something? Thanks for your reply, by the way.

any luck getting someone to send you this??
Your device should still be in the special modem mode after restoring the qcn file “RNDIS + DM + MODEM”. You get there on the i527 by dialing *#0808#
1. open efs pro
2. click on "qualcomm NV Tools"
3. Click refresh and make sure you see your device on the right comport
4. click on connect
5. down the bottom click on the drop down menu under read from and select device
6. click on the drop down menu under write to and select device
7. replace the IMEI Number you see right above read from with your original IMEI number
8. click on write on the bottom right
9. click on disconnect up top right
10. unplug device from computer and restart
11. dial *#06# and check your IMEI Number to be sure it is back to its original
12. go back and dial *#0808# get your phone out of “RNDIS + DM + MODEM” mode and back to "MTP + ADB" mode under USB Settings and hit ok

Firstly I was having SamFlare V5 installed on my phone with CWM 6.0.3.0 then i tried to update to CWM 6.0.4.4 which was not working then again i replaced with older one. Now SIM cards are not getting detected and SIM MANAGEMENT from settings in disabled and when i checked in ENGINEERING MODE in CDS INFORMATION i found that RADIO is TURNED OFF...
Then i tried to install Canvas 4 Stock ROM but same problem persists...:crying::crying::crying:

[solved] radio off problem in mtk devices
hi, atlast i have found a solution of the "radio off" problem. It will definitely work...........just follow my instructions............
1. First of all you need to have the stock rom for your phone which you can easily find by googling.
2. Now run the sp flash tool in your pc.
3. click on the "scatter loading" botton and select the .txt file by browsing your downloaded stock rom.
4. Now click the "format" option on top of the flash tool.
5. Now switch off your phone and connect it to your pc via usb cable and press the up/down volume bottons for detecting.
6. once detected, your phone will be formatted.
7. now disconnect your phone from pc and close the sp tool. Then repeat the steps from 2 to 3.
8. Now click on the "download" option on top of the sp flash tool.
9. and again connect your phone and make it detected in the same process described earlier.
10. once the flashing is completed you will see a green o .
11. now disconnect your phone and switch it on, and the radio of your phone will be turned on.
12. also you need to rewrite the imei nos going to engineer mode by simply dialing *#3646633#*#*

hi, atlast i have found a solution of the "radio off" problem. It will definitely work...........just follow my instructions............
1. First of all you need to have the stock rom for your phone which you can easily find by googling.
2. Now run the sp flash tool in your pc.
3. click on the "scatter loading" botton and select the .txt file by browsing your downloaded stock rom.
4. Now click the "format" option on top of the flash tool.
5. Now switch off your phone and connect it to your pc via usb cable and press the up/down volume bottons for detecting.
6. once detected, your phone will be formatted.
7. now disconnect your phone from pc and close the sp tool. Then repeat the steps from 2 to 3.
8. Now click on the "download" option on top of the sp flash tool.
9. and again connect your phone and make it detected in the same process described earlier.
10. once the flashing is completed you will see a green o .
11. now disconnect your phone and switch it on, and the radio of your phone will be turned on.
12. also you need to rewrite the imei nos going to engineer mode by simply dialing *#3646633#*#*

Man many thanks for your post finally got it working

i have bricked my P780 after flashing with new firmware. Now the Phone is dead with black screen and doesn't start after pressing Power button. After a few trials with SPflash (3.x) i recognized that SPflash had a problem with reading the Scatter-file i.e. the adress mapping. The adresses were set for all areas from 0x0000 to 0x0000. When flashing the phone i didn't see that and i think this is the reason for the dead phone (stupid old man
With Spflash 5.x the Scatterfile was read correctly.
Anyway: Now the phone was detected by the Win7 device manager as Mediatek USB Modem but it works not correctly with SPflash (3.x or 5.x).
I could neither download new firmware nor format the flash. I get always the error: "BROM error DA download to Baseband SRAM failed".
Sometimes i get the message that the power up sequence was problay to short and the bootmonitor sequence didn't work.
Both states are reached after pressing the reset button on the backside when the phone is connected to the PC.
Is there any chance to get the phone working with SPflash again or do i have to use a JTAG-Tool ( if there is one for Mediatek-chips)?

Hi. First look on the box of the phone. Iff there is something with a date that is something like 03.2014 or more like 09.2014 look what you must do:
1. download SPFlash Tool from here. This are the correct tools for Lenovo P780. DO NOT USE OTHERS.
2. now download the preloader file from here and the drivers from here. And yes, you must reinstall the drivers because your preloader is messed up.
3. unzip preloader file, go to target_bin folder and delete existing preloader(preloader_prada_row.bin), and add the preloader you downloaded, and delete any file from target_bin directory with the name Checksum.ini.
4. now load scatter file from ROM directory(should be target_bin directory)
5. check DA,DL WITH CHECKSUM (NOT OPTIONAL)
6. press Firmware Upgrade button (NOT DOWNLOAD BUTTON)
7. now just now plug usb cable to your phone.
8. firmware flash should start.(some red and other color lines should appear)
9. iff the firmware is not starting remove the back case of your phone and hold pressed the little red button from the right side, for about 20 seconds then release. All this must be done with cable pluged in to your phone.
10. after flash is done a green circle should appear
11. disconect your phone and power on your phone
12. lenovo logo should appear. then you should be pacient because it will took some time before android boots for the first time.

But you where completely right! It was the wrong preloader and the wrong drivers.
Now the phone is running again! Thanks a lot!
