After installing a new firmware, the device boots only from the internal memory (nand). If you want start from sd card you have to do once (only once) a boot using the "toothpick" method - press and hold the toothpick through the hole on the bottom of the device and turn it on (hold pressing about 5 sec.)

I have tried to apply a new rom, after wiping the data of my previus I noticed I havent moved it into the external SD so I restared the mobile in order to move the .zip file.
However when I restared the phone I got stuck in my boot screen... I use the Omega rom. How can I boot into CMW with "hotkeys" at the booting?
Is the button combo not working? Power off or batt pull and reinsert battery. Press both volume buttons and power button down. I usually start with vol down/up then power... hold all three down until you see galaxy s splash screen. I stay holding down for a small second after I see the Galaxy S, then I let go. Should put you in clockworkmod recovery

So I tried rooting my alcatel t10 using this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460 and after choosing normal, and the alcatel turned off, automatically turned back on, showed the logo now it's just a blank screen that's on, any help please?
Hi,
Can you enter stock recovery or bootloader ?
If you can,
did you try to clean cache or factory data/reset ?

I don't own alcatel, but usually you enter boot menu by holding power on + volume down button while phone is booting.
You should see android with yellow triangle (it may differ).
From there menu should pop up when you press both volume up and down.
Use volume up/down to navigate trough menu and power button/camera button to select.
Select clear cache first and then try to reboot.
EDIT :
I found this :
Alcatel One Touch T10 must be OFF
REMOVE SD CARD
2 STEPS
1. PRESS POWER ON & VOLUME DOWN simultaneously
(WAIT UNTIL THE ANDROID CHARACTER SHOWS UP(WITH DAMAGE BELLY).
2. PRESS VOLUME DOWN ALONE 5 TO 10 TIMES OR UNTIL THE OPTION SHOWS UP.
(USE VOLUME -/+ FOR SELECTION AND POWER ON/OFF OKAY/ENTER)
Btw removing SD card isn't necessary but sometimes it can format sd card too so it is just to be on safe side if you have a lot of data on SD CARD.

Yep it was off.
Edit: Tried it with - and the android with the belly showed up now I'm stuck at the android, pressing the - won't help, same goes for +.
Okay, after holding Vol down + Power while booting, you will see the android logo with damaged belly, during this time, press power and vol up at the same time, the menu shall appear.

Hi, a friend gave me his mediapad x1 7D-501u, coz he had forgot the password and bought the Nexus 7.
I cant seem to reset the mediapad to its factory settings though!! I tried booting into the bootloader, but when I press the volume down + power for 10 seconds, the tab just starts normally, but now it says "Safe Mode" near the lockscreen.
Is there anyway I can reset this tab for use ? Also, I tried vol Up+ vol Down + power, but it boots into an an update loop and then tries to update and says that no file was found in the SD card. Then a big Red "FAIL" comes on the screen, and it says "please press the power button for 10 seconds to restart"
Please can anyone help on this ??

Is there any reason you can't just do a "Factory data reset" from the "Backup & reset" setting?
Its password locked
Easiest way is to download an official full ROM (not an update), follow the instructions on how to put it on an SD card and start the X1 with volume+&- and power.
Try Volume Up + Power. Worked for me.
Hold the Volume Up Connect the charge cable into the tablet.Wait until you get into recovery
Hello all,
I had rooted my Asus Memo Pad Smart 10 with KingoRoot.
Bought SuperSU Pro and BusyBox Pro
Been using it for many months without issue
Went to options in SuperSU Pro to install itself as a system app
Tablet rebooted, but now only shows Asus logo without spinning dots and hangs
This is what I've tried so far:
------------------------------
Rebooted to recovery with Power button + Volume Down button
Showed the following:
Android cardhu-user bootloader <1.00 e> released by "US_epad-10.6.1.31-20130823" A03
key driver not found.. Booting OS
Starting Fastboot USB download protocol
It then has the usual 3 choices: RCK, Android, Wipe Data
I chose Wipe Data with Volume Up button
Then showed:
Please wait a few minutes..
Booting Recovery kernel image
Signature match.
Are you sure to wipe your user data?
Press <VOL_DOWN> to cancel,
Press <VOL_UP> to continue.
I pressed Volume Up button
Then showed the android with spinning hexagon-type cube in stomach
After about 5 seconds, it went back to Asus logo without spinning dots
------------------------------
------------------------------
After rebooting to recovery, I chose the Android option with Volume Up button
It showed:
Cold-booting Linux
Signature match.
Then it hangs
------------------------------
------------------------------
On my laptop, I downloaded latest firmware file for my Asus Memo Pad Smart 10 (ME301T), US_epaduser_10_6_1_31_UpdateLauncher.zip
Unzipped it to reveal US_epad-user-10.6.1.31.zip
Placed US_epad-user-10.6.1.31.zip onto MicroSD card and inserted into tablet
After rebooting, I chose the RCK option with Volume Up button
Rebooted with Power button + Volume Down button
Chose RCK with Volume Up
It showed:
Booting Recovery kernel image
Signature match.
Then showed dead android with red triangle with exclamation point
------------------------------
I can't get to the tablet with ADB because it no longer recognizes the device.
Can anyone help me flash the firmware?
SOLVED!
I was able to flash my firmware by renaming the zip file from "US_epad-user-10.6.1.31.zip" to "EP201_1024_SDUPDATE.zip"
Copied this file onto blank MicroSD card (formatted FAT32)
Pressed Power button and Volume Down simultaneously to reboot into recovery
Press Volume Up to select RCK
Yes!!!

Hi I am on the same boat. Let me know if you have an idea.
With Android 4.2. and bloatware this Tab is unusable
Hello! i don't know how but my rooted Mi A3 last night decided on its own to update to Android 10. So i woke up with all of mine Magisk magic all gone. I tried to root again but my phone is stuck on the 'Mi' boot screen.
So here's the situation:
if i press volume up + power button, instead of entering recovery mode the "no Command" screen shows up;
if i try to fastboot, my pc doesn't recognize anymore my device;
There is any another way to enter recovery mode? Can i flash a boot image on a sd card? Do i have to throw away my beloved xiaomi?
You have most probably incompatible Magisk module which prevents phone from booting Android 10. Flash stock boot image to get phone working (fastboot should work, double check your drivers etc.).
Or perform factory reset from stock recovery:
"If presented with an image of a broken Android with "No Command" shown on the screen, do the following:
- Press and hold the Power button.
- While holding the Power button press the Volume Up button then release the Volume Up button then the Power button."
