Every custom Roms gives same battery life.

How to stop downloading english uk in redmi note 4

Stick With Stock Rom.
Use Greenify. Restrict Background Processes And Uninstall Unimported Applications. It Will Help To Save More Battery Juice. And It will Make Ur Battery Last Longer.

Set your phone in plane mode and keep screen off.
This way your battery life last longer.
True story.
More Seriously, all roms have approximatively the same battery backup, including stock rom.
For the same usage, my battery last the same time with Stock Miui as with Lineage OS.

[Q] Bad Battery backup in New Baseband

Hi,
I am currently using NightlyFourE Based Nightly Build 34 ROM with default kernel. By far this ROM gives me the best battery backup in custom ROM. This ROM goes in deep sleep when i am not using it. But on normal use i can hardly get more than 8-12 hrs battery backup from this ROM with 30-45 mins of GPRS, 60-90 mins of calls and 40-50 sms a day with no gaming at all and i dont use app killer also ( i dont use wi-fi, gps and display is at 40). I have checked for partial awake option also but i didnt find any culprit. (No other ROM including Oxygen, Slimgen etc gives me even this much battery backup) My battery condition is good
I started using custom ROM after my official 2.3.3 update. Earlier i was getting 18-24 hr backup. After searching a little i have seen people getting much better battery backup than me.
Is it because my new baseband? Are there differnt types in NEW baseband which will hopefully give me better battery backup.
Regards
no different baseband for battery backup!!! lol

Battery drains in cm11 + galaxy-s2 - tried all tips

I installed cm11 on my s2 a while ago using the installer and since then im trying to figure out the reason for the huge battery drain. Cm works great but it drains the battery in an average rate of 19% per hour (a special app did the math, and i can clearly see for myself ). I dont do anything more than music, surfing and whatsapp. Android stats usually say the screen is the no1 battery drainer. Android os second.
I searched the internet and tried every possible tip there was. IMO the only thing I hadn't tried is flashing different modem and different kernel (didn't find good guides for it and was afraid to brick the device)
What I have tried:
1. Flashed neatrom just to compare. A little improvement but still not like old days and of its not a good performance like cm.
2. Went back to cm through recovery backup and Used battery stats, taking permissions away from every app with a redundant wake/cpu lock.
3. Got new battery, assuming the problem may have to do with an old battery (bought the device 2yrs ago)
4. Calibrated battery both with the app and also using the manual trick (chrage while phone off, take batter out, wait five mins and put back in).
5. Tried different governors.
Might be forgetting other things. Nothing works!
What can I do? I really wanna use cm and not get lost flashing less good roms.
Thanks
This device uses an old Exynos SoC optimized for Android 4.1, In new versions is normal battery performance loss because there is more consumption of resources
It also warms up and all.... You recommend flashing older version of cm?

Yes, only if you really need more battery life. I have a Galaxy S Advance, who died in the 4.1, Battery life in 4.4(CM) is 30% lower than the official 4.1.

Battery backup

Hi guys,
I've a problem and I need some advice.
I've a Kenzo since last October and it's a great phone. I've always used the miui since last month then I've tried some customs ROMs.
My problem is that, with the miui my battery usage was 10% each sot hour and for this reason I could easily reach 8-10 hours sot. The main reason was that I use my phone only for WhatsApp, sync disable, battery saver GPS, no 4g connection and auto brightness disabled.
Last month I read a lot of forums and I read that you could reach ROM the same (or more) sot hours using a custom instead of the miui.
So, for this reason and because I'd like to customise more my phone I decided to flash a custom ROM.
In this last period I've tried ROMs like RR, Nos and lineage os, each in stable and beta version and I combined it also with some stock kernel like Agni and radon. I've always flashed them wiping everything (cache, data, system, internal storage). I also cleared battery stats with Agni toolbox
My problem now is that, with the same usage I used with miui, my battery drains 18% each sot hour. That means that my battery now drains twice faster with the miui.
I don't think that it could be a problem of the battery deterioration: I always pay attention to charge it when it's among 20-40% until it 100%.
My purpose is to reach the same miui battery backup with a custom ROM (I love the possibility to costumize and I'd like to have recent Google os).
In your opinion, it could be possible?
Thanks a lot!!!!
I only have 5-7h sot with latest RR. For me the battery backup at MIUI was better.... But I hate MIUI so far.

Battery issues with OREO roms

Is the Oreo roms draining battery faster than usual on standby? I've tested a couple without custom kernels. Please comment if you've found similar results.

Dont expect battery performance like miui on customs roms. Custom roms are just made for pleasure. If Ure rooted try greenify to hibernate those power hungry apps and keep your location off when not needed. Try velvet rom. It will tweak battery life a little.

what rom and type of apps you use? i am a slight heavy user, and am able to get a minimum of 1.5 day charge, that too with xiaomi doze enabled. Also i dont really support custom kernel to be used right now, because the actual devlopment of oreo 8.1 isnt over, so kernel management can be finnicky. but then try looking in which app consumes most power.

Better Battery LIfe Help

i have spent the last few hours looking for some info regarding battery life on the mi pad 4 and am about to just throw myself out the damn window! i keep reading about issues with the kernel and custom ROMs with no fix. some users report a 2% drop with custom ROMs while others swear MIUI is better or worse.
can anyone please give a clear answer as to what to do to conserve battery life? i currently on the latest arrowos and have a 12-20% battery loss over night and dont mind switching to a different rom.

Well I don't really use my mi pad 4 often, so basically it sits there idle. I lose around 4% per 24 hour in idle using carbon rom. Not sure which xiaomi build I used for firmware /vendor.
No battery tweaks, Bluetooth /WiFi /data always on

Well, sorry dude, I have no idea!!! Just spent ages goign through my pc files - newest xiaomi.eu rom I have is xiaomi.eu_multi_MIPAD4_8.10.25_v10-8.1.zip which has a file date of 07/11/2019, but I would assume I have flashed newer than that - vendor security patch is from 5 April 20
Latest MIUI xiaomi.eu I can see is here
I think you should try out crdroid. I've been a long time user of miui, from eu website. I tried most of the custom ones, was on bliss as daily driver before i finally settled on crdroid. It's got pretty decent battery life. The miui is very clunky in comparison and not worth the extra battery life (if any). Haven't tweaked any kernel parameters on this rom and device goes 2-3 days easy before needing a recharge. I use it mostly to read, browse, occasional video, check mail and occasional whatsapp video calls. I'm pretty satisfied with the battery
