a few months back my brother bought a sony xperia z2.. he was very happy. after a few days and ONE test if it was waterproof there was water in the camera and inside the phone. he went to the phone store and asked for help.. the phone was sent to 'what the store owner said was sony' after 5 weeks of waiting he got it back. one week later he took the phone out of his pocket with the screen against his leg and the back of the phone facing away from his leg. i was with him the hole day.. he didnt bump his legg what so ever
here was something we didn't get... on top of the screen, where the screen meets the edge there was crack that led until an inch under the upper egde of his phone.. i myself had a crack in my screen once but the phone still worked... in this case it was different.. the phone wouldn't work.. you could still switch on off but the display wasn't working.. he went back to the phone store once again but the owner of the store was clearly making up story's and said he would make a few calls. he didn't ..
can someone give my brother some tips on how to handle this sort of things and or how to get a new phone from son or something because we are really out of idea's
kind regards,
albert

Yep. They'll, at free of cost! :good:
Hello. Sorry for your device. Could you post an image of the bad display part? Thanks.
You cant really see it in a picture but i can see the dots while using some apps its really annoying and on a dark image there are many of them
I also got a faulty phone with dead pixels all over the screen than i got a replacement from flipkart which also had a faulty display with a big white spot in the middle of the screen but than i got it replaced by service centre free of cost. But one thing i can tell is that many redmi note 4 phones have the same dead pixels problem as i have seen many people with faulty screen around me. Xiaomi is not having tight quality control.
Hmm.. Let me tell you my story and what I came up with after a small research.
So I had got my Note 4 (4/64GB Variant) in February this year. Right after a week or two, I noticed some stuck pixels. Initially they were just one or two, but then they started expanding and scattered all over the screen. I can't even tell you how ugly the screen had started to look, it had more than around 50 stuck pixels all over the screen.?? It broke my heart and I desperately wanted to get a replacement. I then started to notice some of friends' Note 4 and coincidentally, they all had some one or two stuck pixels. Then I came to a conclusion that the Redmi Note 4 has a serious quality control issue with almost 85% of defective phones. Now, just a week ago, after a lot of research, I went to an authorized service center. (Thanks to Xiaomi, we now have 500 centres in India). I noticed their reactions when I disclosed my issue to them, they were quite ok with the problem and told me to wait for 2 hours. Now, from their reactions, it was 100% confirmed that its a common issue in Note 4 and many people have got a replacement.
So, without any hassle, they replaced the screen, but took 2 hours extra, but it was ok considering the usual croud at Mi service centres we see.
The replaced screen works flawlessly and the next thing I noticed that its now a Tianma display.
So, wrapping up the whole story, I'd conclude as:
1. The Note 4 manufactured in the Indian factories use a defective NT335 display and has issues with 85% of their production.
2. The service centres always have the stock of only and only Tianma displays.
3. You can get the screen replaced quite easily as its a very very common issue with the Note 4. Just remember to carry a copy of your invoice to claim warranty.

i used a redmi note 4 with tianma display it had that text blur issue on scroll. I want the display model which came with the phone. The other redmi note 4 that is in my house has the same model display as mine and has been around for a while now and has no dead pixles while mine has had them since the beginning. I was really shocked after seeing this.In february when i got a chance to use a note 4 i noticed stuck /dead pixels on it so i thought its a issue with all but seeing newer phones with fine display is really shocking for me
My Redmi Note 4 SD is curved in a corner, the glass and the aluminum are curved in the right top
What can I do?
Phone works perfectly
i think its xiaomi low quality build problem , my past xiaomi phone ( redmi note 3 and mi max) are also bended . but still functioning perfectly , if you are still on warranty i suggest claim it at centre . before its getting worst.

Ok
I'm thinking of buying the (international version 128 GB version) F1 but the process would including importing it which means no warranty. I'm worried if there's any sort of QC issues that I need to aware of because returning or even replacing it would be quite difficult. I got the redmi Note 3 back in the day and 3 months later the MOBO failed. I returned it for a redmi note 4 which also failed because of QC issues less than a year in so I don't have much faith in Xioami's productions quality. I've also seen that the screen failed every drop test it went through. is a case and protector that much needed or can I get away with a Dbrand skin? I'm coming from the HTC M8 so idk how durable blastic phones are.

Screen bleeding check and audio quality check
I have used redmi 1s for 4 years with original battery and everything. I have use redmi note 3 for 2 full years. Didnt had a single issue. Poco f1 is a very good choice for its price i would say. Screen is not good. But not bad. Its ok. Camera is best in this price range. If you want a performance phone with some compromises than its best phone in market. If you can wait. Wait for poco f2
I bought the Amazfit stratos 2 back in December 2018, I nearly never got it of my hand unless its charging.
Yesterday I went to shower and when I got out I noticed that the back cover for the heart rate sensor is gone:crying:.
I tested the heart rate sensor and it surely stopped working along with huge battery drain. the 100% charge can only last for 1 hour.
luckily I am still under warranty and will send it for replacement but I want to know if anyone had the same issue.
Is it a common problem or my watch was just defective from day 1, since I noticed micro particles under the heart rate cover from first week.
Not rare, but a very few number of units have a poorly glued HR cover, and many fall off or simply let wetness go inside the watch damaging it. That's what warranty is for.

He works at Amazfit and helped some people with broken parts in Amazfit watch.

He helps with missing parts, like the strap holders covers ("horns"), not the whole device. OP should first contact seller and ask for a replacement, if they don't honor warranty then you may contact US Amasfit or Pavel for support.
I had the same problem, I notice that something was wrong with the watch because the HR sensor got so hot that I got burnt. The Hr sensor still light up but does not measure anything and end in error.
Trying to contact seller, bought it less then 3 months ago. Let's see what happens.
PS. : The seller from EBay is not responding me anymore... Trying to solve with PayPal but it seems PayPal does not want to help me at all as well... Sent an email to Xiaomi Australia (I live in AUS) hope them can help me.

Yes, the same has happened with me, but i think i noticed it before any water entered the back of my watch, i was wondering if any replacement glass that i could glue myself is available on amazon or ebay or not bcoz my priority at this moment is to prevent it from further damage. If you have any links from where i can buy that back glass of heart rate sensor, pls drop links. thankyou in Advance
It happened to me twice
It seems to be a common problem. A year ago I didn't notice the missing cover, but I suddenly started to receive electric peaks on my wrist, and the watch got extremely hot. Trying to charge it was useless, it got even hotter and stopped working. I got a new unit under the warranty (2 years in Spain). Today I have lost the cover again (of a one-year-old watch), but I'm not under warranty for 8 days, ouch. It does still work fine but eventually dust and humidity will ruin the watch.
Has someone found the cover replacement?
Had the same issue, seems to be quite common. I was swimming with it and when i got out of the water, the watch got extremely hot and it started acting strange (showed that it was charging). I took it off and saw the glass that should be covering the sensor was missing.
My advice... if you got a new one... Sell it. Then, buy something better...
Get something better, not worth it
Yep, mine lost the cover, luckily I found it, but now I'm afraid to use the watch as I found out that the HR sensor protruded and that's why the glass fell off, now when I try to glue it again it won't fit right, the HR sensor can be pushed but it protruded again instantly, my guess is that the battery has bulged up, so bad that the warranty just ended, now I'm afraid that the battery may explode when I'm using the watch and hurt me, as Xicko says go buy something better, it has no support and seems to be a common issue, I was very happy with this watch and brand but it deceived me when i tried to contact support they just told me: "don't use it anymore and buy a new one", next time I'll go with Samsung
