Hi gang!
I have a Moto E 2nd Generation here that was having some issues, browser crashing, slow downs, overheating issues due to multiple apps running, etc. So I decided to log into TWRP and attempt to do a factory reset. After this factory reset was done now I attempt to log into fastboot, which gives me the options of start, restart, factory, etc. I am just receiving a boot loop and nothing more. The steps to get this corrected is a bit jumbled and confusing, I must admit. I have installed ADB on my computer in hopes that this will be straightforward. I have downloaded some system images which I thought would help the process, negative. So if someone could help me this would be greatly appreciated.

Heyo John!
I can try to help since I have managed to overcome my bootloop issue and flash a custom ROM into my phone. Could I ask, are you trying to also install a custom ROM? And what version of TWRP do you have?
I had the bootloop issue because of an outdated TWRP and had to flash the latest one, which thankfully worked!
Let me know! ^_^

Hello testerexp345,
Thank you for the reply and the assistance, I am not sure if TWRP is installed anymore as I can't get passed the bootscreen on the phone. I hold down the volume down and power button to get the options of factory reset, shut down, restart, etc. However all these options lead back to the boot screen looping over. The ROM that I had installed on the phone was from an online seller that paired the phone with a SIM card that allowed unlimited data service, which was great for my business since I am out much of the week traveling. Any insight would help, as when it comes to flashing devices and cell phones... let's just say I am a newbie still

To boot in bootloader while you stuck on bootlogo
Press and hold power button and volume button , and when screen goes off, quickly release power button only . don't release volume down button . now you will boot in bootloader

Hi,
I was just wondering: Have you rooted your device and have you installed twrp for your specific device? (I know, sounds like a dumb question, but you'll be suprised how many people install wrong versions). Because if you have rooted your device properly, and you installed twrp (one for your device), then you should be just fine. But I'm afraid that you haven't, and that therefore the screen is all fuzzy. And also, is the screen fuzzy in the twrp menu, or when you are on (e.g) the homescreen? If the second option doesn't apply, then you are not bricked. Please answer and give as much information as possible on what you did, then I might be able to help you. (btw, it's very unlikely that you are hard-bricked and that your device won't be able to be repaired)
(and a happy new year )

Yes i root my device before i installed twrp , when i boot my tablet twrp boots up the screens goes alll blurry / fuzzy with colors then it becomes normal recovery menue i installed twrp touch so i should be able to touch the setting but i can't i press the power button and a fuzze Unlock with ''Slide to unlock'' comes up but i can't slide to unlock it.. Oh yeah and it is upside down so i have to turn my tablet upside ..
I think[I know] i installed the wrong version of twrp which does not work for my device, Is there any way i could get rid of this recovery or factory reset?
What kind of tablet do you have? Does the bootloader support fastboot? If so you should be able to flash the proper recovery. If not does adb work when in recovery? You may be able to change it here. Also your OEM may have a download mode to flash firmware, this may be another option.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I have a Allwinner A31 table to be precise ubonton u705a
I have tried adb but it just says [waiting for device] so I guess ADB does not work.
I don't know anything about bootloaders it had an option of fastbooting in the power menus if that means anything sorry for my lack of description Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app

I think the easiest would be to just install the right version, the same way you installed this version. You are still able to connect your device to your pc, I guess, so you should be fine. To go back to your stock recovery, find the stock recovery for your device (you can probably find it somewhere here on the forums), and flash it.
Hope this works and good luck

Hi everyone,
I have an Alcatel One Touch Pop C5 (Alcatel 5036D). I made a backup in stock recovery before I installed the Xposed framework. After the installation i did a reboot but it stuck at the boot logo. Then i restored my backup but it didn't work, the screen just turned black, so after an hour i restarted my phone. Now I can't do anything, i can't even get in recovery (but it is a soft brick, i can still see the boot logo). I guess i will have to flash the ROM again but i'm a newbie (I installed some customs ROM's before but not on this phone), and no custom ROM's are available. Does anybody know what to do? I would really appreciate your help!
Here alcatel mobile upgrade software.it will give your your pop c5 zero
Xposed is not working on c5 pop because it has a rom odex
I'll try to deodex the stock ROM ...

You must wait a very long time after upgrade. This happened to me with xposed too. Just upgrade, follow instructionst and be patient.

Are you talking about the same model? Iohanbarth said it won't work because of the odex, so that's a bit strange. How long exactly did it take? I restarted my phone when the boot logo was there for about 10 minutes.

Dont lose hope, try again with mobile upgrade s 4.0.5, run as administrator, select one touch 5036 and do it again. Look out for your battery must have least 80 %. On Alcatel site it says: Q9 Why couldn’t I switch on the phone after using One Touch Upgrade?
It might take longer time than normal to switch on the phone after using One Touch Upgrade. Please long press the switch on key to check again.
If it still doesn’t work, please take off the battery, then insert it to check again.
If the problem persists, please try to upgrade your mobile phone’s software by One Touch Upgrade again.
wish You luck

Dude i love you! I didn't give up because of you and kept trying. I finally got into recovery. You have to pull out the sd card, then boot with power button + volume up. The screen will be black as always, but if you do it again, the recovery is finally there. You can put the sd card back in and everything works, but it looks like my restore backup function in recovery is "broken". I will flash the custom recovery lohanbarth modified. Thank you very much, my problem is finally solved!!

im a new with this... i was able to install ctr recovery, my phone is soft bricked (i installed gravity box jb ) rebooted and now my phone is soft bricked... so i can get into recovery mode... thats great but i dont know how to restore or get working again... i promise im not lazy, i ve read a lot here still need like tutorial on how to do it ... steps to follow thanks in advanced
hello
to you do a backup of your ROM with the CTR? If so, you removed the battery of your C5 and gives you the up volume + power 10 second and you will be in the recovery ctr.
if its not working downloaded mobile upgrade to restore your C5.
PS: XPOSED Framework does not work on POP C5
pop c5 bricked

Thanks for replying (i dont have backups nor roms)
so...i can get into carliv CTR recovery .... i guess its different than ''stock recovery mode'' right??? so im doing the mobile upgrade workaround rightnow... will give it a try
my understanding is : once upgrade is done you wait around 40 min then try to restart phone and get into recovery mode? then wipe and boot (that should bring my c5 back to life right?)
when say wipe you mean like factory reset?
Now my question is ... When i do power button + volume up key it brings up carliv ctr recovery instead of stock recovery mode... would that make a difference for this work around???
u think i will be able to recover my c5?
thanks so much i hope it works... thanks in advanced , would like answers to my questions
Xposed Framework Version 2.3.1 with Gravity Box 3.0.2 works with Alcatel One Touch Pop C5
Be careful not to update them.
Download Links:
Xposed Framework 2.3.1.apk
Gravity Box - JellyBean - 3.0.2.apk
Alcatel 5036
There has been a software update for the POP C9 will xposed v 2.6.1 work with this?
So, I already had some issues with this device and they've been pretty similar, in a way that the problem always starts with random reboots when the power button is pressed. About two weeks ago I took it to a technician, because all sorts of connectivity (3G/Wi-fi/Bluetooth) simply stopped working, after yet another reboot. About 3 days ago I got it back and it was working fine except for the fact that the initial boot Motorola logo (The green one before the other logo animations) wasn't showing up. He told me it was fine because it was only an aesthetic problem because he couldn't find that image for my device's resolution.
This morning when i was going to work i picked up my XT1025 Moto E to check for messages and it suddenly restarted. So when I turn it back on, not only the animations did not pop up, but after some time all i get is a black screen, no UI whatsover, all I can do is turn off/restart the phone. At random times when I turn on the screen, it's content shows up but I can't click anything, and then an error message pops up saying that ''system has stopped responding''. I've tried many things to fix it, but nothing has worked so far.
What i've tried:
-Wiping cache partition did not work
-Factory resetting did not work either
-Unlocking bootloader (but apparently it was unlocked already)
-Flashing a custom recovery did not work for some reason...
These last two were on the ''All-In-One Guide'' by neo.ank and honestly I have no idea what i should do to fix this problem - I was thinking about reinstalling the stock ROM but i'd rather ask here first for you guys suggestions... (like i said, complete newb here).
Sorry for the long post and bad english, hopefully someone can help me out on this.

I think it's currently using lollipop 5.1.
If u want to get back to stock 5.1 then flash stock rom. Then download the firmware from below link .
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347783250
and download the batch file
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24269982087018369
1. Boot ur phone in fastboot mode then.
2. Extract the firmware and batch file on same folder and click on the batch file.
3. Click on the Fashtool batch file.

Hi, thank you anyway but i had some error while i tryied to flash rom and gapp as you can see in the attached screeshot:
sorry, I repeated the installation a second time but this time without any kind of error, now I have restarted the system to get it started, I am with the boot screen in loop, I have read that at the first start it takes some time, for now I wait.
he boot screen is in loop for almost an hour, now the istallation was clear,
I have done these steps in sequence:
format and reboot recovery
flash ROM and GAPPS
reboot - system
boot screen is in loop
any advice?
thanks a lot
Sure ... How well do you already know about rooting or the tools for Samsumg devices?
I will sketch a brief instruction, first download:
Odin (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ead-03-sep-20-galaxy-s10-sm-g975f-ds.3908710/ should work ... you can find most of the software in the tools section odf xda)
SamFirm (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/tool-samfirm-samsung-firmware-downloader-checker.2988647/)
Use SamFirm to download the latest original Samsung Firmware.
(Connect Tablet with PC & start Download-Mode: press Power (only until Vibrate) + Volume down + Home green Screen then Volume Up, voila)
And use Odin to flash Tablet S3 -> good as new, and you can start all over again ;-)
I will attach some Screenshots ...
Many Greetings
STOP
Did you (not forget to) FORMAT DATA before your attempt to Install a Rom???
maybe try to flash https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-sm-t820-tweaked-rom-sm-t820-tweaked.3659433/ first ... in the thread are very detailed instructions.
just to clarify the above, this is done wile in twrp > wipe menu >format data and it requires you type"yes" before it launches the process
@Frischifrisch @Lucauonz
As Samsung has changed servers or what so ever, Samfirm I didn't find working any longer.
Samfirm_reborn did/does it.
GitHub - ivanmeler/SamFirm_Reborn
Contribute to ivanmeler/SamFirm_Reborn development by creating an account on GitHub.
github.com
.
Btw. recommendation of "Format Data" I encourage as well.
Might be neccessary to reboot to recovery afterwards before continuing.
@Lucauonz Which Gapps are you using?
Pico version I've always found best, as everything else can be installed later additionally.
Try just flashing ROM and test if device restarts without anything else to exclude Gapps as the cause for the failure.

Just follow the post from @Frischifrisch and use samfirm_reborn to get multiple part version.
I hope I am in the right area for this post. I apologize if I'm not.
My Motorola One 5G Ace (XT2113-2) is stuck in a bootloop. I was trying to root it and apparently did something wrong. First, I couldn't get it into recovery mode after trying to install TWRP. Out of a lack of options, I did a factory reset through the Settings menu. It reset but then got stuck in a bootloop. I get a message stating the bootloader is unlocked and then the Motorola logo appears, then it starts over.
I can get it to fastboot but that's it. I was hoping to use Moto Auto Flash or RSD Lite to flash the original firmware on the phone in an effort to get things correct. The last phone I rooted was my Note4 years ago. This isn't going as easy as the Note did.
Any suggestions will be most appreciated. Thanks in advance for reading.

Well your Motorola One 5G Ace is not a Motorola One, so you are not in the correct category. But no need to apologize.

I am only a newbie in all this, but my clue is that your phone is doing the boot loop probably because the wrong boot slot is selected.
Have you tried with asb.exe or fastboot.exe to select the other boot slot, A instead of B or B instead of A? Let us know if this helps.

If manually selecting the other boot slot does not help, you could use the Lenovo Rescure and Smart Assistant. It can read device information from several phone states, download the stock firmware and reinstall everything.

This is already beyond my knowledge. I don't recall seeing anything about different boot slots so I'm not sure how to reply to that. I will try Smart Assistant and see what that does. Thanks for the suggestion.

Right out of the gate, I don't know if I can use Smart Assistant. The first set of instructions states to put the phone into USB debugging. I can't get the phone to boot so that I can do that part. I can try without doing that and see what happens I guess.

What happens when you turn the device off completely, then press the 'power' button and the 'volume down' button at the same time for 3-10 seconds. It should not do any bootup but only show the fastboot menu. From there your phone can get recognized via USB by fastboot (from a command prompt on your computer) and as well as by the Lenovo Rescue and Smart Assistant.
Thank you for all the help. I am now rooted.
