Looking for XT2113-2 firmware - Motorola One Questions & Answers

I hope I am in the right area for this post. I apologize if I'm not.
My Motorola One 5G Ace (XT2113-2) is stuck in a bootloop. I was trying to root it and apparently did something wrong. First, I couldn't get it into recovery mode after trying to install TWRP. Out of a lack of options, I did a factory reset through the Settings menu. It reset but then got stuck in a bootloop. I get a message stating the bootloader is unlocked and then the Motorola logo appears, then it starts over.
I can get it to fastboot but that's it. I was hoping to use Moto Auto Flash or RSD Lite to flash the original firmware on the phone in an effort to get things correct. The last phone I rooted was my Note4 years ago. This isn't going as easy as the Note did.
Any suggestions will be most appreciated. Thanks in advance for reading.

Well your Motorola One 5G Ace is not a Motorola One, so you are not in the correct category. But no need to apologize.

I am only a newbie in all this, but my clue is that your phone is doing the boot loop probably because the wrong boot slot is selected.
Have you tried with asb.exe or fastboot.exe to select the other boot slot, A instead of B or B instead of A? Let us know if this helps.

If manually selecting the other boot slot does not help, you could use the Lenovo Rescure and Smart Assistant. It can read device information from several phone states, download the stock firmware and reinstall everything.

This is already beyond my knowledge. I don't recall seeing anything about different boot slots so I'm not sure how to reply to that. I will try Smart Assistant and see what that does. Thanks for the suggestion.

Right out of the gate, I don't know if I can use Smart Assistant. The first set of instructions states to put the phone into USB debugging. I can't get the phone to boot so that I can do that part. I can try without doing that and see what happens I guess.

What happens when you turn the device off completely, then press the 'power' button and the 'volume down' button at the same time for 3-10 seconds. It should not do any bootup but only show the fastboot menu. From there your phone can get recognized via USB by fastboot (from a command prompt on your computer) and as well as by the Lenovo Rescue and Smart Assistant.

Thank you for all the help. I am now rooted.

Trying to go back to Stock P769

I recently installed CyanogenMod with the Unlock Bootloader for noobs and I noticed the internal SD wasn't mounted. So I tried to flash an ICS ROM to see if it would work but it didn't. I was stuck at the boot screen. I tried restoring an ICS CWM backup and a JB backup but it didn't work. Currently, I have a flashed JB backup with a messed up touchscreen (because of the way I unlocked the boot-loader). It won't boot and I don't know how I can install the stock ROM. I really just want my phone to work at this point. I don't know if there's any way to use the offline method to flash a .kdz since I can't access android. I tried hard resetting, but when I do it starts up Clock Work Mod which I believe happens because of the way I unlocked boot-loader.
I'm trying to use this guide to fix it using SW upgrade. I did find a .bin and .fls which i'm downloading right now.
If anyone could help or give some advice that would be great. I really just want to use my phone, I don't care about flashing a custom ROM right now. As long as my phone works, I'll be happy.

Let me know if this works for you! Also you can do the offline fix just as long as you can get into S/W Upgrade mode. But I am curious to see if you can use the bin/fls files tool that you mentioned to get your phone working again.

Thanks for the reply! I'm planning on trying this method out tomorrow and ,if you don't mind, could you please elaborate on how I can do the offline fix with S/W Upgrade mode? I'll check back on the forum tomorrow!

Well just get your phone into S/W Upgrade mode and follow this tutorial. Getting into S/W Upgrade:
1. Get stock ROM here.
2. Turn off your phone
3. Press and hold the vol + button while inserting USB to computer
4. Keep holding the vol + until you see the S/W upgrade mode
5. Flash ROM with tutorial mentioned above.
Good Luck!

Isn't that just an infobank of all the KDZs? I'm pretty new, but can you flash a kdz with the offline method? To clarify, I was asking how to flash the kdz with the offline method in S/W upgrade mode. So ROMs/KDZs are essentially the same, right?
Edit: I read everything over again and realized what KDZs really are. I'm just wondering now if I could just hard reset in some other way because the LG Update Tool doesn't recognize my phone even though I see all the drivers. It's stuck at 15%.
Edit 2: I tried the method I suggested and it resulted with "Magic number does not concide".
So I'm stuck here with a phone that is stuck in bootloop, and has CWM installed. Can anyone help?

alright, this is all from memory but the offline flash didnt work as well for me when stuck in weird bootloops.
Step one-going back to online flash---->
A---
the easiest way i found was to go to C:/windows/system32/drivers/ect/hosts
right click>open with notepad
there should be two lines at the bottom
"127.0.0.1 csmg.lgmobile.com
127.0.0.1 csmgdl.lgmobile.com"
i would cut them out and paste them in a text doc in the same folder for reference later...
but either way you should remove them from the hosts file and save
B----
Make sure your small server is closed! once you minimize it it should go down to your status bar (shttps)
Step two-LGMS---->
make sure you have LG mobile support installed or install it.
open lg mobile support
install needed drivers for your phone
power your phone off/remove the battery
put battery back in
connect it to your computer holding down the volume up button
S/W UPDATE mode should pop up, if it doesn't preform and hardreset and try again til it works (it will)
then in the top right corner there should be a button or two click them both until you see
"restore update" or Update restore or something to that effect
select that
and let it ride man
i got my phone ****ed many times and just had to keep redoing this until it worked. if your bootloader is truely unlocked you can probably go through all that again and get CM10 working, i did but im still working through kinks.....
GOOD LUCK feel free to ask any more Q's about this process if you run into any problems

Hello! Sorry for the late reply. Before I start, do you mean LG Mobile Support form when I unlocked the boot-loader, if not could you provide a link to it? And by the way, when I tried hard resetting, the phone sent me back to CWM, any ideas why?
I was reading the CM10.2 notes yesterday and I realized there isn't supposed to be an internal SD card showing up when you plug in your phone to your PC. So I did tried fixing what wasn't broke.
Anyway, thanks for the info!

was your phone off before you hit the vol up and home, then clicked power for three-five seconds?

Such a late reply, sorry! I did nothing. Before you replied I flashed CM10.2 but never bothered to boot up my phone. Preparing to connect my phone to my comp, I couldn't start CWM so I figured " I'll just leave my phone plugged in for a few hours." Two hours later, my phone has a blank screen, i'm thinking "This shouldn't be blank? What the hell?." I pressed the power button and was greeted with Cid. I screamed out loud: "**** yeah!"
If people have the same problem as me all I did was: Reflash my my phone with 10.1, stock, 10.1 again, and then 10.2. I did that, only that.
What's funny is that I never checked to see if my phone was working after I flashed CM10.2. :silly:
Can't wait for Kit-Kat. Thank you for keeping up with my post, CROSSFREEZE I appreciate it!
Edit: I might submit a really specific and simplified version of the "Unlock Bootloader for Noobs P769" for the take of contributing.

LG V10 Froze at logo screen PLEASE help cant find any answers

Okay so my phone randomly rebooted 2 days ago and when it got to the LG logo screen it froze. I tried to hard reset it, i went in to the hard reset menu clicked yes once then confirmed the hard reset by selecting yes a second time and the phone froze on highlighted yes. I have pulled the battery and tried to do this multiple times to no avail. So next i went to my PC and started google searches. Often i found things such as being stuck in boot loop which my phone wasn't, it was just frozen at the LG logo screen. Regardless I like to think of myself as self educated tech savvy (which now from reading all of your posts im not, im not even a little bit, in fact im tech stupid.) I did follow post through to the LGUP tool and downloaded a stock KDZ and got my phone into download mode>firmware update screen, i was able to get al the correct drivers and get LGUP to recognize the device and i loaded the stock KDZ and tried to do a Complete wipe reinstall. The program as able to interact with my device and went through the process, i thought i had fixed my phone. After a fresh install(or what i thought was a fresh install) i rebooted after the update and went to the LG logo screen and froze. The only difference is now when my phone starts, right before the LG logo appears i get the green android robot with what looks like open working "guts" real quick before it goes to the Logo and freezes. So back to the drawing board and i wanted to attempt some of the things ive seen like TWRP recovery etc but here i am getting lost. Forgive me if im posting things that have been answered but i keep getting confused. I dont know what the difference is between fastboot boot loader recovery mode or any of that is. also i kept noticing time and time again that my phone has to be in USB debugging mode and i dont know if it is. I cant turn my phone on to get it into USB debugging mode now anyways. Im okay with my warranty being voided and im okay with rooting if thats what i have to do to make it work. I have installed ADB and fastboot and some twrp recoveries etc but im clueless. Lastly know that i never Rooted my phone or anything but i was a torrent downloader. forgive me im triyng to provide as much information as possible.
PLEASE NOTE - I had to sign up to post here obviously and i loved how it said if you have an IOS go buy an android and come back LOL

Moto E 2nd Generation LTE bootloop issue

Hi gang!
I have a Moto E 2nd Generation here that was having some issues, browser crashing, slow downs, overheating issues due to multiple apps running, etc. So I decided to log into TWRP and attempt to do a factory reset. After this factory reset was done now I attempt to log into fastboot, which gives me the options of start, restart, factory, etc. I am just receiving a boot loop and nothing more. The steps to get this corrected is a bit jumbled and confusing, I must admit. I have installed ADB on my computer in hopes that this will be straightforward. I have downloaded some system images which I thought would help the process, negative. So if someone could help me this would be greatly appreciated.

Heyo John!
I can try to help since I have managed to overcome my bootloop issue and flash a custom ROM into my phone. Could I ask, are you trying to also install a custom ROM? And what version of TWRP do you have?
I had the bootloop issue because of an outdated TWRP and had to flash the latest one, which thankfully worked!
Let me know! ^_^

Hello testerexp345,
Thank you for the reply and the assistance, I am not sure if TWRP is installed anymore as I can't get passed the bootscreen on the phone. I hold down the volume down and power button to get the options of factory reset, shut down, restart, etc. However all these options lead back to the boot screen looping over. The ROM that I had installed on the phone was from an online seller that paired the phone with a SIM card that allowed unlimited data service, which was great for my business since I am out much of the week traveling. Any insight would help, as when it comes to flashing devices and cell phones... let's just say I am a newbie still

If you have an SD Card installed, try removing the SD card and then booting the phone.
If that works... then I bet you have a Samsung 128GB MicroSD card???? (if not, maybe another brand 128GB card?)
It seems that there is something in the 7.1.1 boot sequence for the Moto Z's that is hanging during the mount of the SD Card when it is a Samsung 128GB card. Removal of the SD allows a successful boot up.
Once boot up is complete, you should be able to insert the SD card (without rebooting the phone) and the phone will see the SD card and the "missing SD" notification will go away and the phone will function as it always has. It seems that unless Motorola/Lenovo release a patch for this issue, that your only options are 1) remove SD during every reboot, or 2) purchase a different SD card (Motorola seems to recommend SanDisk).
No there is no SD card. The phone is stuck on bootloader.
I had the same issue, stuck on bootloader and error saying recovery could not be read. I rebooted a few times and it eventually went away. Problem is that now my phone acts REALLY weird. And the Software Assistant does NOTHING to help out. It doesn't detect the phone in regular mode and in fastboot, it says everything is fine and doesn't let me restore.
I have a feeling the OTA had a problem installing and a clean slate is the only way to fix it. The only issue is that I can't find a copy of an XT1560-02 ROM anywhere, only other variants.
I had the same issue after update. Recovery could not be validated. I removed the SD card and boom perfect boot. I just hope the issue gets patched soon, would hate to have to carry that Lil key around for if I need a reboot to remove SD card before boot
Same issue. But instead of removing sd card. Just go into recovery mode and wipe cache.
Works
This helped me. If you can fastboot, this may solve your problem:

you don't need to root or install TWRP if you don't want to.

Maybe you could provide more information. Have you been on Stock 7.1.1 and tried to unlock your bootloader without allowing Oem Unlocking in developer options? What is the current state of your device, means are you able to get into recovery mode?
7.1.1 Original Stock - Not Allowed OEM Unlocking
Everything was great, but a week ago the cellphone it restarted itself, and never back: It's stuck in bootloop.
I get it with Android 6.0, and i was upgrading via Ota until 1th July, which that means it's 7.1.1 Rom Stock
Cause i wanted have my cellphone pure, i didnt touch anything(I didn't want loose my warranty), so i'm never check to allow "oem unlocking"
Now, warranty doesn't help me because i bought it in Italia, and im living in Argentina now, and they said taht they have Local Warranty.
So, i tried to solved it by my self... I did it with my old phones but they were cheap, so i think is it that why i never have ear about Reset Software Factory Protection.
Brief:
Original Stock 7.1.1
Yes, i tried unlock BL without Allow OEM Unlocking
Yes, i can get in BootLoader and in fastboot without problem
Thank You very much
Maybe a factory reset might help. Switch off your phone. By holding the power button and the volume down button you get into bootloader mode. Tap volume up until you see recovery. Press power to confirm. (If you see the little green android, hold the power button for 2 sec and then press volume up) In the recovery menue select factory reset, if you choose with data wipe, be aware that you'll lose all your data. After that reboot your system. Hopefully it will boot up and you can set it up from scratch.
I did it.

That's good. (Sorry for the late reply, it was late and i fell asleep).
As i understood you purchased the device in italy and now you live permantly in argentina. Where did you take the 7.1.1 OTA, in Italy or in Argentina?
With the help of RSD we could try to restore your firmware. Not sure if it works for you in Argentina.
1. Download the NPL25...RETBR stockfirmware from here on your pc https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/griffin/official/RETBR/
2. Extract the zip and search for this file: flashall.xml and remember where to find it.
3. Run RSD on your pc
4. Reinsert your simcard (not the sdcard). Put your moto z into bootloader mode and connect it with your pc. Wait until it gets recognized.
4. Click the three little dots in RSD (left beneath the start button). Now search the flashall.xml file and double click. It will be added to the command field.
5. Click start.
RSD should now flash the firmware onto your device. This takes about 10 minutes. Wait untill your moto reboots completely and you get a PASS notification in RSD.
Hope it works. If not, we have to try plan B.

Sorry, i was quite busy...
I bought three: One to my girlfriend, one to my brother(Both are working perfect, like a charm ¬¬) and the cursed one to me, of course!!
Well, when i read "RETBR" i remember that mine cellphone said "RETEU"(or something like that) in settings, so i have checked in my girlfriend's phone, and yeah, they are RETEU and, in the link that you have shared with me, i found one that said that.
I have downloaded both of them, just in case.
Now i'm have try with RETBR, and it didn't work
Now im going to try "RETEU", and, you know, i'm feeling lucky!
Let's cross our fingers
---------- Post added at 12:23 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:02 AM ----------

Yeah, i know... It's 6.0.1 ...

There is still no RETEU 7.0 available, thats why you have to flash the RETBR.
Try again to flash the RETBR NPL25..firmware with RSD. If you'll get the same failed error message, here is
PLAN B:
Copy the flashall.xml file and rename it to flashallcopy.xml.
Open the copied file with a text editor and delete the 2 lines with "gpt" and "bootloader" in it. Save it and close the copy. With this the RSD program will skip those two commands. Click the 3 dots and add the flashallcopy.xml file to RSD. Click Start.
If that doesn't work, we have to run Plan C
Good luck

Question May have bricked my phone...Bootloader randomly failed to flash...??

So I may have bricked my phone and need some serious help right now...
I was ready to flash October's monthly update. I had downloaded the factory image, and extracted everything from the factory image. I patched the magisk image and had it ready in the same directory. I edited the flash_all.bat script and removed the "-w" flag. I disabled all modules on magisk, and had got the phone to bootloader mode. I then ran the flash_all.bat script, and then for some reason the bootloader flashing failed. My phone now won't turn on and is a complete black screen. I need some major help here.
EDIT: My PC cannot see it on EITHER ADB or Fastboot devices
Can you boot manually into bootloader mode?
Cheers

No I can't. Holding power and volume down gets me nothing.

How long are you holding it? I have found that it takes a *really long time* (like, a full minute) of holding that power button to get any response. But if still nothing, "black screen with no response" does sound like the "bad bootloader" brick. :x Might be fixable under warranty, I'm not sure.
.......I'm getting a feeling that I did the wrong device's bootloader and it failed. Now it's stuck....

Did you have the A13 bootloader flashed to both slots before trying to update today?
Maybe try the phone support? Flash a rom to Sd card even?

Yes I did. OK...so I screwed up HARD and I think I might have did the Pixel 5's bootloader, or at least it tried. It just said failed and that was it. Now I'm just getting a black screen.
Both slots have the September 2022 A13 bootloader. I was on September 2022 update. Is there anyway to get to the other slot and at least get bootloader from there??

May want to try to RMA it. Can't think of anything else. Sounds like it's pretty dead if it's not turning on and not recognizing anything.
What hurts hard is that I've taken exceptional care of this, like battery was still at 100%. Ugghh. Traded in my 4a 5G for this at launch.
Unfortunately , if you flash bootloader from another model.. you're f***d...
RMA only option

Well if you're willing I'm trying to start a small team for testing existing methods to unbricking.
I've come to the conclusion that all you need to talk to the phone is a USB c to 2.0 cable then hold vol up/dwn. This exposes the bootROM output and messages from the phone in serial output on COMM5, and if you're on Unix then it's on ttyACM0. Interestingly enough it's in Exynos downloading mode. The computer gives us the USB descriptor and a bulk in and bulk out endpoint.
I believe Exynos uses Syn/Ack/Dwn/Up
So an update, I took it today to a UBreakIFix location since here in Canada they're an authorized repair place. I fortunately still had 2 weeks warranty on it (of a year) so the repair is supposedly covered (they emailed Google and got authorization on it). After doing the diagnosis, they said the issue is with the motherboard or something (I'm assuming it flashed the wrong thing and bricked) so they had to replace it. They have the part in stock so I'm getting the phone back tomorrow. Hoping this gets everything back in place and repair holds up. Nothing was wrong with it otherwise, just hope their repair handiwork is good and all the pieces are placed correctly. I did lose all my data and messages though as I had been choosing not to save a number of things to my Google account (I had it on pause) so it will take quite a bit of time to just get it back to the way I like it. Also hoping that they don't then also prevent the bootloader from being unlocked, which I've read has happened after Google RMA's your device.
Thank you everyone. And @NonStickAtom785 , hope for all the best in your testing into unbricking methods and look forward to having you share your findings, in case for whatever reason others or hopefully NOT me runs into that situation.
