Galaxy S6 Edge restarts when battery temperature is cold - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have strange issue with my Galaxy s6 edge.
When battery temperature is 24C phone is restarting, working few minutes and then restart again. But when temperature is rising everything is good.
I replaced battery in service so I think the battery is okey(on old battery this issue performed too)
After change battery I done factory reset and installed clean stock android 7.0, root and twrp.
Is it possible that mainboard has a problem?

Someone can help with this?

Possible hardware fault, download wakelock app from play store and set it to level 3. See if that helps

I installed this app but phone is restarting at all. I think Samsung has a problem with hardware.
Look at battery chart:

}
When battery temperature is under 25C degree phone is restarting. And it happens with old and new battery.
Or maybe I try back to 6.0?

Nobody knows something?
If you don't particularly need the screen capture function you could freeze or uninstall it with titanium backup or a similar app.
Otherwise you could try and replace the screen capture apk with the one from the original rom.

I think most likely as I've never had any issues with this before. Villain 3.0 is out if you are interested.

This has become a relatively common problem for the Galaxy S and Galaxy SII. It's been nicknamed The Red Screen of Death (How original).
From what I can tell in the other cases its been caused by a custom ROM. Are you using stock or a custom rom?
Some speculation is that it might be a bug with night mode. make sure this is disabled in the settings.

Try downloading greenify from playstore mate: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify&hl=en
You will be able to hibernate background processes that makes can cause you battery drain.
Download Wakelock Detector and watch wich wakelock causes your battery drain tapping on android system after a complete charge and a 1 hour period of sleep. Then tell me which.

No, it doesn't. Some users installed a camera patch which seems to make deepsleep work.
Notice that the camera patch will not solve camera issue but will create some fake libs that will let deepsleep work.

what could be the cause?
Better yet why not grab a logcat and see what is causing wake locks or install one of many apps to do this for you such as better battery stats or watchdog
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium

This is a known issue from Google. It is caused by the Android OS keeping the mobile data active. If you have Wifi or don't need to use data, then disable it, worked for me and greatly improved battery life

Hi! First of all thanks for the reply. Second of all I don't use mobile data just wifi and the issue suddenly popped up. It has resolved now after I charged the phone. The battery is back to normal now and so is the Android OS %. If it resurfaces I'll keep this thread updated. And thnx for telling me that it's a google issue
