Is it okay to use FlashFire on ROOTED Samsung J7 Prime? I'd like to use it for OTA updates... Anyone tested it? Is it safe?

once it's rooted or modified by anyway its goodbyes to OTA, if device status isn't official you wont be able to receive OTA updates but you can update it manually via updato.com

Even if i use flashfire... worst case it'll caused me bootloops?

Nope you're good to accept it prior to rooting.

CFAutoroot will work on the latest firmware. I unrooted, updated through Kies, and rerooted just to be sure.

Out of curiosity, how did you unroot? I forgot to check for the OTA before I rooted and never got it.

Okay, I mistyped. You unroot through a factory restore via Kies, but the Knox counter is still tripped.
No, that's fine.... Just making sure of the proper way to unroot. I was pondering using the posted .tar file and using Odin, but wasn't sure if that was the best method.

When your system is modified you cant update over the air, if you got working recovery, find your self a prerooted rom and flash it.
here is one by our good man @niaboc79.
Or you can create your own prerooted based on ftf by your choice with prfcreator

New update

Is there a way to kill the download yet?
On rooted marshmallow.
Sent from my VS990 using XDA-Developers mobile app
I seriously doubt you are running Marshmallow rooted. You must mean 5.1.1. There's a thread that tells you how to block the OTA ( I think it's in the Tungskick 5.1.1 root thread)
Sorry, that's what I meant.
