When your system is modified you cant update over the air, if you got working recovery, find your self a prerooted rom and flash it.
here is one by our good man @niaboc79.
Or you can create your own prerooted based on ftf by your choice with prfcreator

No you must download Fullrom then flash with Alka Twrp recovery and wipe cache and dalvikcache reboot.
Will i get any big problem if i try to flash?

My phone was officially unlocked the bootloader. I always failed to upgrad by ota(incremental rom). Rebooted my phone and I will received another full rom by ota upgrade. Generally I will copied it to external sd card and flashed by alka twrp, superSU and xposed v85 in one go. Done.

Is there a way to kill the download yet?
On rooted marshmallow.

I seriously doubt you are running Marshmallow rooted. You must mean 5.1.1. There's a thread that tells you how to block the OTA ( I think it's in the Tungskick 5.1.1 root thread)
Sorry, that's what I meant.

Is it okay to use FlashFire on ROOTED Samsung J7 Prime? I'd like to use it for OTA updates... Anyone tested it? Is it safe?

once it's rooted or modified by anyway its goodbyes to OTA, if device status isn't official you wont be able to receive OTA updates but you can update it manually via updato.com
Even if i use flashfire... worst case it'll caused me bootloops?
