Hey there,
so I wanted to update LineageOS to the latest nightly (1st August) coming from an April nightly. I did it OTA, entered TWRP, installed the update and got stuck in TWRP, which is apparently a known issue with TWRP 3.0.2.0. But I didn't know that, and tried to fix it by installing a backup of CM 13 WITHOUT wiping data, because I did not want to lose my data. Stupid, I know.
I then found a fix to leave TWRP and tried booting into CM 13 but now I'm stuck in a bootloop. It shows the CM logo, then prepares apps, shows the logo, prepares apps, logo, and so on...
I can't enter Download mode or Recovery mode using the keys and adb/fastboot commands don't work while the phone is turned off or booting.
Any ideas what I can do?
Some more info:
It only bootloops when plugged into my pc. When it's unplugged (or plugged in to just power) it stays at "preparing to start". Sometimes it even leaves that screen but then the System UI keeps crashing leaving me with nothing to do but hard reboot. I still can't Recovery or Download mode tho. And whenever I plug it into my PC, it reboots
So you can't get into downloadmode with holding [Vol Up (+)] and plugin the cable into your pc at the same time?
[Edit]: Sorry, [Vol Up] is the right key.

Hi guys,
I'm trying to fix someone's Huawei G630-U10 but ran into some serious issues.
The device was stuck on the Huawei logo so the obvious choice was to factory reset to get the phone working.
When I go into recovery to "Wipe Data", it just says "Wiping data..." and then nothing. No formatting and no deleting seems to be done.
I downloaded the stock ROM (Update.app) and selected the option in recovery to "Update from external storage" and selected the file. It gives a message that it's rebooting into update mode to update, but then the device reboots and gets stuck on the logo again.
I've tried going into update mode (Pwr+Vol Up+Vol Dwn) and it just remains on the logo. So I guess only recovery mode works.
Since the recovery couldn't delete anything, I suspect the storage is faulty or corrupted.
PS: the device just stays on until I force to power down. Then it just reboots automatically after a few seconds and remains stuck on the logo until I power down again. This happens as long as I don't physically remove the battery to end the loop.
Any suggestions or tips?
PPS: I've search extensively for flashing tools for qualcomm based huawei but no luck. The official site just hands out the update.app firmware which only works in update mode (which doesn't work in my case).
I was running CM 13 and I opened SuperSU. It asked me if I wanted to update the binary, I clicked on OK and it booted into recovery and installed and rebooted, it continued to reboot for about ten minutes and released that it had bricked. I tried booting into recovery , but my volume buttons were broken. Then I connected the device to my PC. In adb, I tried to run the reboot recovery command. But my device was not detected by my PC. I tried pulling out the volume button and pressing them with a sharp object and tried rebooting to recovery, no luck..
Need help..
Hello XDA Community,
I just got a Galaxy A40 (SM-A405FN/DS) and flashed TWRP.
Everything was going well, so I decided to try to flash an unofficial LineageOS GSI.
I followed some instructions I found on a website:
- Wipe Vendor, Dalvik/ART cache, Wipe Cache, Data, System, Internal Storage using TWRP Advanced Wipe
- Flash Image to System Partition (Used: lineage-16.0-20191017-UNOFFICIAL-treble_arm64_avN.img.xz)
- Reboot & Pray
I am now stuck in a bootloop, sometimes I am able to start TWRP, but I have tried to flash other images but wasn't successful.
(Loop: Bootscreen -> Warning (Press Power Key) -> Bootscreen -> Blackscreen (Reboot))
I am currently downloading the stock image.
How can I enter recovery mode? Is there anything else I can try?
Got the same goal, installing a Lineage GSI ROM. But... I got stuck in a bootloop just like you after flashing TWRP.
You have any tips getting out of it?
Solution: Okee, I drained my battery first. Then I pressed volume up and down together and connected it to my pc. This way I got it in download mode. (thank god!)
So i managed to get into download mode after being stock in restart loop by holding off button. When screen got black, i plugged my phone into my pc and pressed volume up and down buttons. It worked. I am a genius.
Anyone managed to get a custom ROM to work on that device ?

YOU ARE AN ABSOLUTE LEGEND THX ALOT
I have a galaxy A7 2018 (SM-A750F) that I wanted to root. I flashed the specific TWRP recovery .tar file for my device using Odin, but I pressed the volume up + power key before the success message appeared on Odin. Now I'm stuck in a TWRP bootloop when the homepage of the TWRP mode flashes (basically just the logo and the version number) for a few seconds, then a black screen appears and the phone reboots back into the same mode when I press volume down and power keys. Eventually, the TWRP homepage screen flashes on and off and the logo appears to be distorted.
I tried accessing my phone using adb, but it shows that no devices are connected, and I made sure to enable USB debugging before the whole process. Could the usb port have been damaged because of the process? It was 100% functional.
My phone is also overheating, even when it is turned off.

I don't really know what to do at this point. I even tried tapping on the black screen but no short vibrations occurred, so I guess the whole TWRP mode is corrupted. Any help would be best welcome!
Same issue and my phone's os is bricked so I can't even boot to the os / boot loader / download manager to flash stock files

any updates
A strange problem. I flashed 18.1 and it seems to work (I can boot into a minimal system) but now I can't get into TWRP Recovery even though I used it to flash 18.1 in the first place. The phone powers up fine but when I hold down Vol- and power, it does not boot into TWRP but boots into Lineagos. If I try ADB, then it sees the phone but it's offline and I've tried all the tricks to get it back online.
I also notice that when the android on his back is displayed, then Download Mode at the bottom is indicating Disabled.
Any ideas, or is it completely stuffed?
