First time posting here so bare with me.
I was using my Straight Talk /CDMA Samsung Galaxy S7 and I noticed it acting weird and sluggish so I restarted it. When it restarts after the logo screen it has me enter my pin, says verifying, the it has a locked padlock that unlocks with a colorful circle around it. Then it says Android is starting up. I did a factory reset on it because I read it could of had malicious firmware. It still starts up the same but now it seems my service is messed up. Well at least my SMS. I will send a message, it will have the spinning circle, it will send (i think) but says it failed. I have cleaned the partition and rebooted but nothing is working. HELP it is only a few months old.

I installed the update on a nonrooted galaxy tab 10.1. Now it is stuck trying to reboot. Try to do a factory reset, and it won't work. I would like to root it so I can access some files while i'm traveling. What's the best, quickest option?
I got a problem too
After updating my device and rebooting it, everything seemed to be fine. It turned on, (Samsung GALAXY TAB 10.1) logo appeared, then instead of getting the normal screen all i got was unreadable screen made of small pixels, like an old broken tv. I know the screen is not broken because of the logo at first (which I tried to restart several times and always the logo is fine but what's after the logo is not working) Also I tried plugging in my device later and the battery icon that indicates it's charging when it's turned off is perfectly normal. But I can't seem to use my device or even see the main screen PLEASE HELP!!
Bricked!
Downloaded the TW update this morning, and then attempted to install it immediately. After a couple of minutes, it told me the installation failed and to either contact Samsung or do something with the Kies.
I OK'ed out of the dialogue boxes and then it asked me to reboot. I said 'yes'. When I did, upon it restarting, saw a new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 logo (and the music). Then it went to a scrambled screen and totally unusable Tab.
Called Samsung customer service twice. I was told how to start the Tab in "Manual Mode" (I guess I would call it going into dev or recovery mode). Wiped everything and did a Factory Reset. When I reboot, it hangs on that new logo a little longer, but still is screwed up.
So, while I was on the phone with the second Samsung tech, I realized that this thing was going to have to go to Samsung for repair - so I decided to click around a little. I started the Tab again in Manual Mode, but before I got to the wipe and reset options, I got two icons. One was a Android robot (with the word "Downloading" below it) and the other was a box with an arrow coming out of it next to a smaller android robot. I decided to choose the Robot with the downloading below it.
When I do that, I get to a "ODIN3 Download Mode" screen. From this point, I feel that I am close to being able to restoring the Tab to stock - but I have no idea what to do from here. The screen has some ASCII text at the top left. It says "Connected! Press the [Start] of Odin3!!". There is a large Android robot in the middle of the screen. Below it is "Downloading..." and "Do not turn off target!!".
What can I do to bring my Tab back from the brink? HELP!!!
I have noticed I can plug the Tab into the pc and see what is on the Tab. So, I can still put files ON the Tab and run them from the recovery screen.
thanks in advance!

I just bought a Motorola Droid 3 for my wife and activated it on Page Plus. I got it to activate successfully, was able to call out and receive calls, send and receive text messages, and everything else that you would expect out of a phone. After I activated, I went to settings>about>system updates, and a messaged popped up saying that an update was available for 5.7.906. So i downloaded the update and installed it. The phone shut off halfway through the install, on full battery, and didn't turn back on (I even waited about 20 minutes for it to power back on). So I pulled the battery, stuck it back in, powered the phone on, waited for everything to load, and the phone was SUPER glitchy; I could put my finger on one part of the screen and an application on the other side of the screen would pop up. So I did a factory reset, but that also failed. When the device was loaded, a message popped up saying "master clear error". And THEN a message popped up saying something like --no cdma networks could be found. would you like to switch to gsm?-- So then I downloaded rsd lite, the proper usb drivers, sbf .890, flashed it using rsd lite, but I still can't get the phone to find any towers!! Anyone have any ideas? I've exhausted mine and have spent a lot of hours on forums trying to find an answer.. google searching.. and haven't found anything that was helpful.
So, this is my problem.
I turned on TalkBack on my Samsung Galaxy S3 then locked the screen and now I can't unlock my phone to turn it back off. It just continues to read everything from locked screen. My SIM card is locked and it tells me there is no service. I pulled out battery several times but it boots and won't let me go any further than locked screen and TalkBack starts reading everything out loud again. Please help me fix it
Update: I successfully unlocked SIM card but it won't let me go any further than locked screen again.
P.S. Excuse me if I misspell anything, english is not my mother language.
Second Update: I've noticed "Safe Mode" sign in lower left corner. Does it mean anything?
Third Update: I figuered out I need to slide two fingers at the same time to unlock it and move around so I managed to ge to settings and turn off talkback
happened to me as well
I noticed the "Safe Mode" as well.
Happened to me in the airport after I let some old lady call someone in a language I couldn't understand, so I had couple of theories, including the NSA controlling my phone...
Every time I restarted, I had seconds to use the touch screen! that's it.
phone being protected by a pin, meant I couldn't really do anything, but keep restarting.
There was a logo on the top left tray (running apps) that I didn't recognize, which disappeared after a second.
It took at least an hour for it to go back, many restarts, battery out & in, and any trick/buttons combinations that I know in the GS3.
Not sure what really solved it in the end...if it happen again, I am going back to square one.
I really needed to use the internet, but at least, this passed the time until the delayed flight finally came...
happened again. Airport again
Anyone has any idea?
hey guys i think i accidentally bricked my phone
at first it was just the blue screen for a few seconds then a black screen
then after trying to get into recovery mode and doing a reset i got the demigod green screen.
i wasnt near a comp at the time so i let it die out.
now today ive been trying to get into download mode.
i get the disabled by killswitch message
logged into my mcafee account. my phone wasnt locked
tried to do a reset from their site and nothing
so i removed the phone from the account and tried to get back into download mode
same kill switch message
anyone know how to fix?
I can remove the killswitch - no guarantee on the rest of the stuff. But I own and operate a business doing these services, so there would be a charge
I have an issue that I think calls for as clean of a wipe as I can do, and start again with Factory Settings. But I will take any advice anyone may have for me.
The problem I am having is caused, I've read, because I put it in Developer Mode when I first bought it. On powering on, I get the page that says OS Verification is "OFF". Then beeps twice, and flashes a black text box, but in upper, left corner. The screen disappears and the next screen appears. It happens fast enough that I can't read the text that may be an error code, I don't know.
That next screen just shows the Chrome logo, then onto the login, and then I'm in.
I read I could change the OS Verification to "on" but I can't because of the unknown text I mention above. I was able to update , but that didn't change the OS Verification screen, the message upper left still appeared, and verification still "OFF".
I did a Powerwash, but that didn't put it back to Factory Settings like I would like as I have thought about getting it cleaned off and giving it to a friend that has no computer. But first, I need to make sure it's actually going to work for her, as good as I can get it to work. I'm thinking the Developer Mode is the issue, and that loud beeping was the first thing that was driving me nuts on reboots. Then I started learning about the Developer Mode, and felt turning it off was best for the CB and I really don't need it. I don't need to side-load, or have it able to load "apps from unknown sources".
I guess I wrote a book, but needed to find someone that "gets" what I'm talking about because I looked all weekend for answers
Thanks in advance for any help
PS that text says something about "gbb.flag in nonzero read-only firmware, id google celes, then some #s and active firmware". That's just all I could get by powering down and up again and reading what I could each time ;(
