Dear friends and ring leaders, I removed my OS (Paranoid Android 6) without doing a backup. Now my phone has no OS and I think since i didn't authorize USB debugging, my device comes as unauthorized in ADB. How do i authorize my device without an operating system.
- I have TWRP 2.8.7 installed.
- I am able to connect the device through USB - both the internal memory and SD card show up.
- Problem with my phone USB port so cannot use USB OTG
- Able to copy to the SD card however, copying to Internal memory stops half way each time..
- Trying to install through SD card fails each time - While the device is mounted and i can access it via TWRP - exits with the message unable to mount.
- HELP!! Using a nokia 150 as my daily driver
Disclaimer - I have been a novice at using custom roms and have limited success installing them on multiple phones. Successes - PA 6 on onyx and CM 13 on Moto G 2013.
I appreciate your patience if this post has already been covered. I tried searching through google search on XDA but was unable to find something similar.

Hi,
This is my first time rooting my HTC One (T-Mobile) and have managed to unlock my bootloader and install TWRP Recovery. Long story short, while attempting to install the latest Android Revolution HD Custom ROM, I seemed to have wiped my whole phone clean and don't even have an operating system anymore.
How can I get the Custom ROM file from my computer to my phone if I don't even have an operating system to boot into? It would be no problem if this phone had an SD card slot, but it doesn't . The only thing I can boot into now is the TWRP Recovery.
I have tried using the MOUNT option in TWRP Recovery, but to no avail. I have also tried to download HTC Sync Manager and the computer still does not recognize my HTC One. All I need is for my computer to recognize my phone and pop up in Windows Explorer so I can copy it into my phone's internal memory and use TWRP Recovery to install the ROM.
P.S. I am using Windows 8.1 64-bit.
PLEASE HELP ME! :'(
I am in the same situation, i have no operating system and can't access the internal storage.
How do I enable usb debugging?
USB OTG
Hi guys,
I just had this same problem. I formatted internal storage and had no OS at all.
I bought a USB OTG wire from Amazon. I put the ROM I wanted to install on a regular USB Drive and connected it using the USB OTG wire.
http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-...e=UTF8&qid=1398213984&sr=8-2&keywords=usb+otg
In TWRP I went to the Mount function and unchecked all boxes except USB OTG. Make sure that's checked. Then, go to install and navigate up folders to the top level folder. Scroll down and the bottom folder will be called USB OTG. Look in there for your ROM.
Install and enjoy!
Now if someone could help me figure out why ADB won't connect: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2727881
Hello guys. So I've been recently using my Canvas HD with the Unoffical Cyanogenmod 11 (4.4.4). Here are the issues I face -
1. - My computer does not detect a USB Connection. I mean after connecting the USB the phone charges well enough, but neither the PC detects the phone nor is there an option of USB Mass Storage in the phone. Although I can still Tether internet or enable Debugging. I checked device manager and after connecting the device the mtk preloader comes up for a second and then disappears.
2 - I tried to use the Expand Phone Storage thing on my device for the A116. Now what has happened is that while I did it, SP Flash Tools could not locate my device (this is either due to USB not working or me not having VCOM drivers. And I need to be connected by USB phone to install VCOM Drivers. I use Win 8.1). So, while my internal storage is now 2.46 GB, my Internal SD Card has gone corrupt and no longer shows anything. I can't even start the Gallery now. External SD works just fine.
So these are the issues I face. I'm kind of new to these things so if anyone could help me, I would highly appreciate it. Thankyou.
Flash the ebr files...
Hello everyone,
My internal storage for my device is FUBAR at the moment. Here’s the story:
The tablet is a US model Asus Memo Pad FHD 10 LTE (ME302KL). Rooted and bootloader unlocked, android 4.2.2
I tried flashing cromi-xenogensis 4.7.0 for the Asus TF300T. The result was no being able to get past the Asus throbber loading animation. To add to this I used an incorrect version of TWRP (2.7.1.1) to flash cromi-xenogenesis.
I proceeded to do a full wipe of my device using these fastboot commands
fastboot erase system, data, cache, boot
I flashed TWRP again, and proceeded to do a ADB sideload of the latest US firmware for my device found on the ASUS site.
I am now successful in booting up the stock ROM, however I am unable to send any files to the internal storage in the device via usb. When I copy a file into the internal storage, the windows progress bar stays full forever and does not show estimated time etc. The free space/used space shows up as unknown in windows. The microSD works fine though.
The camcorder app shows “no external storage available” message when opened, and the play store shows “unfortunately Google play store has stopped”. The file manager shows no files or folders under the internal storage.
I have already tried:
- Rebooting the device
- Clearing cache for play store, file manage, camcorder
- Restoring device to factory settings via settings
- Deleting my USB drivers, and reinstalling drivers
- Tried both MTP file transfer and PTP file transfer
To summarize, I would really like to get access to my internal storage, and I think that fixing the internal storage will allow my playstore etc. to work again. I would really appreciate any support with this issue
bump
Hello guys, I have recently found this out but as I use XInternal SD to switch Internal and External Storages, when i connect my device to PC the MTP Device doesnt show up, The OnePlus Drivers does work however, this has been going on since a long time, but i just thought that it was probably broken drivers, but recently as I formatted and clean installed my Windows (8.1 x64) and installed the OnePlus drivers, but the problem has still persisted. I relized that it was the module when i was clean flashing my Stock ROM, i forgot to copy Xposed & SuperSU zips therefore i connected my device to PC *after booting in Stock Oxygen OS* and sure enough now MTP did work.
Well the obvious solution is to not use the module but I cannot keep all my data in the Internal Storage, i need everything in my SD Card, so can anyone think of a workaround or something for this ?
Thanks
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=64765463 it probably might solve it but I don't know
If this is not the correct thread, please advise.
Samsung GT-P5113
Rooted successfully
Previous - Android Jellybean 4.2.2
Current - Lineage 6.0.1 - Version 13.0.20170826-NIGHTLY-expressowifi
The Lineage install modified external SD card to be the dedicated internal storage installed platform with OS running on the SD card. I can no longer see the SD card as an external device in USB Windows connection. Basically it is messed up. Unfortunately backup is no longer avail. CWM is now installed.
Please please advise how to correct.
Thanks ahead of time

I will reply to myself since no one else will
Steve,
Android JellyBean 4.2.2 is gone since your initial backup is corrupted. If you want to re-install that ROM, you can take the gamble on finding it on the internet but the amount of malicious sites falsely stating it is on their site is too high to take gamble. Go find a stable official custom ROM.
You have two options available for using an SD card. Use it as part of the system memory or use it as portable memory. Either way, I have not found a successful way of connecting a usb cable and directly reading\writing to the portable memory. You can remove and place in a memory reader with another device but the USB connection has failed miserably with the custom ROMs. ADB is supposedly an option but I did not get it to work via USB cable.
Your on your own here.
Good Fortune
