USB OTG not working in ROM and Recovery - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

My device is unable to read my USB OTG (Which it was up until today evening)
I'm running RR with Agni 10.3
PROBLEM : I'm unable to use it in my recovery as well. Running ZCX TWRP
SIDE NOTE : MTP not working either. I tried changing kernels as well (stock and downgraded Agni but it didn't work)
I should mention that the OTG had problems copying data to the phone and kept failing.

Have you tried official twrp?

Lenovo A916- usb working only when plugged during phone reboot

Hello all!
I'm new there but I'm not capable of finding any solution to my problem. I tried on my phone customRom named MysitcOS v6 (for Xaomi redmi note) ported to my device. I got only booting phone without IMEI and baseband unknown. Flashing NVRAM.bin (from stock) using flash tool didnt help. On this rom usb is working fine. When I flashed whole stock rom using sp flash tool including nvram. Almost everything is working well. When I plug usb to phone it charges only and in device manager there are no changes. I must reboot phone wuth usb plugged every time I want establish usb connection. When I flash back Mystic os from recovery USB is working fine again and after every stock rom flash usb doesnt work well. Do you ave any ideas why this happens and maybe how to get rid of this problem? Thanks in advance.

Redmi Note 4 (mido) - USB Otg lost. Can not mount USB-otg in TWRP.

I have a Redmi Note 4 (mido) with unlocked bootloader and root. Until a couple of days ago (on LineageOS 14) everything worked fine. Then suddenly my USB flash drives were not recognized anymore. Also in TWRP I was not able to mount USB-Otg anymore. I did every possible wipe with no success and installed the latest mido firmware. Yesterday I flashed Miui Global Stable rom via Fastboot without success. I am still not able to mount my USB flash drive. The cables and flash drives work perfectly on other devices, so this can not the problem. Also rebooting to Recovery and Fastboot work fine. A solution for my problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any comments.

OTG and USB Connection Option not working after flashing

After i got bootloop, i flashed aosp-ex, after that otg does not work anymore and usb connection option was not showing. I tried to go back to stock. I flashed miui 10 but the problem still persist. I thought maybe it was just a bug in miui 10 since it still in beta. I then downgraded to miui 9 but my problem is still there. I tried again flashing custom rom using lineage but still otg and usb problem still exist. Someone help me! Otg and usb options works fine before i got bootloop. My phone can still charge. I've also enabled usb debugging and selected mtp in usb configuration in developer options. HELP!
This is the logcat of my device.
Exactly the same happened to me when going from android 7 custom ROM to 8. I had a bootloop, flashed the right recovery and tried again, but after that computer and phone doesn't recognize usb connection (only in flashing mode). Tried different ROMs and PCs and flashing stock, but the problem persists. Any help would be welcome.

Have you fix it now?

Faulty USB Connection

Like the title, my Poco F1 got this issue since last week, just right when I want to flash clean from PE+ to PE11 beta, pendrive OTG doesn't work or no way to use usb connection when connected to PC(just charging). I've tried Wipe All Data of PE+, flashed back to stock recovery rom(via twrp, and I forgot to reflash Twrp and now I'm staying forever on stock until fixed)
Pendrive OTG, PC connection, Headset Type C, QuickCharge simply don't work.
Meanwhile, Keyboard and Mouse via OTG work normally.
Is the USB connector or USB board the one at fault? Or is the mainboard/QCOM chip at fault?

Cannot connect galaxy s2 to windows PC. Need to flash TWRP then Lineage OS

Hi all,
I'm trying to get my old s2 to a point where I can think about flashing one of the Lineage roms 14 or 15.
First hurdle is that i need to replace the current custom recovery (Philz 3) with TWRP. Ordinarily I'd do this through Odin and not think twice about it. However I cannot get my windows machine to recognise the USB connection to the phone. It will charge and nothing more. The phone obviously used to connect, many years ago.
Device : Samsung Galaxy sII - GT-I9100 (has root)
Recovery : Philz Touch 3 - CWM Base 6.0.1.8
OS : Jellybean 4.1.2 (stock unbranded)
PCs : Win 7 ent x64, Win 10 ent x64, Win 10 ent x64
I've scoured the forums here and have tried the following to get the usb connection working.
Tried 4 different usb cables across 3 different PCs
Tried with USB debugging on and off
The phone does not have any options to choose the type of USB connection I want (MTP etc)
Tried installing kies and drivers
Tried installing device drivers only (specifically for this model)
Tried installing device drivers (whole package)
Tried switching engineering mode to modem and back to usb through *#7284#
Tried a recovery flashable zip version of twrp 3.0, through Philz (it fails)
Tried cleaning the contacts on the port on the device.
Have stripped out the old device usb port and installed a new one.
Have tried to install mobile odin but it fails to get update (addon package from xda, and will not run)
Have tried various timings of plugging usb into the phone when entering download mode
Have factory reset the phone from OS
Have factory reset the phone from recovery
Have tried clearing the various caches and wiping pretty much everything.
The phone reliably boots into OS, recovery and download modes.
Other android and samsung devices are seen by all the PCs I've tested on
At no point are the PC and the s2 connected
Is there another way to flash twrp to recovery?
Is there another way to flash a complete stock rom including stock recovery, to start from scratch.
What else can I try? Any help greatly appreciated.
Cheers P

A safe method to start with. Place twrp-3.0.3-0-i9100-signed.zip and the recovery.img extracted from it and lineage-11-20191223-UNOFFICIAL-i9100.zip in the SD memory.
Run the current recovery and select the recovery zip or img installation from the external SD memory.
I don't know PhilZ Touch so I don't know where to choose zip or img.
Restart recovery mode and make a backup in TWRP to the external SD memory.
Only then wipe the Cache, System, Data, Dalvik and install ROM.
Many thanks. I'm gonna give that a go this evening. Will report back on how it goes.
I feel like my usb connection woes will disappear if i get a new rom on it.
Cheers.
Manages to update to Philz to version 6 ...I after which I did get the lineage Rom onto the phone but it booted once then went into a boot loop.
I gave up
Thanks for those who helped anyway though.
