Just got a redmi note 4 global from Aliexpress and after a few days im stuck with the headphone symbol on and wont turn off even when headphones are unplugged
I have factory reset the phone and its still stuck on, its had hardly any use so cant see it being a faulty socket as if im playing a video it works fine with headphones and when i unplug the headphones the video stops playing but doesn't come out the speaker. It lookd like a software problem
Cant believe im going to have to send it all the way back to china for such a stupid fault
Any ideas on how to fix? ive tried everything i can think of

got a problem since this morning. My hero always thinks that i got a headset/headphones plugged into my 3.5" jack. So i cant take calls, because i dont here the one on the other end. I already tried "toggleheadset2" widget, but it doesnt solve the problem. Is there a way to complete disable the headphone jack and tell my phone that there is no headphone plugged in?
I already searched the web but mostly the bug cleared itself after some plugging in and out or checking the pin that indicates a headset in the jack. I already tried this but it didn't help...

But before you do that. Did you try to reset to factory?
my eris is stuck with the headphone symbol on and it will only play sound through the the earphone jack. i've tried everything I can think of to get the sound back but nothing has worked. As long as I plug my speakers into the jack I got sound, unplug and there is nothing.....help please!!!????I've put a new radio on, flashed roms and factory reset,data wipe and still nothing.
So putting the new radio started making this problem happen?

I have a chinese MTK6592 phone, have had it for 2-3 weeks and been listening to music every day with my Samsung original headphones since the sound quality is much better than the quality of the ones I got with the phone.
Yesterday all suddenly the phone did not detect that the headphones were plugged and would play music through the headphones and phone´s speaker. So i tried the ones that came with the phone and the phone immediately detected the headphones. So i removed them and plugged the Samsung ones back in and everything worked fine...
Until i unplugged the Samsung ones, after that the phone wont detect the headphones, but it will detect the ones that came with the phone. Not even after restart it will recognize the Samsung ones. And they work, I tried them in my tablet and my tablet recognizes them immediately.
The plug is identical, I have not been able to find any lint in the jacket.
Anyone have an idea what could be wrong ?? I am rooted, even though i doubt that´s a factor.

since a few days I have an issue with my moto z.
Phone Speaker and mic are only working when I make a call and switch to loudspeaker.
Besides calling mode they won´t work
I also tried headphone plugged in and then I can hear music or videosound but only on headphone.
Also ring tone works via phone speaker.
I tried to restart phone a few times but without luck.
What can be the problem here?
Also the usb-c plug isn´t working really good as it looses connection if you only move plugged cable a milimeter in wrong way, which shouldn´t be with usb-c.
This problem is there for a long time so accepted it but with mic and speaker not working the phone isn´t really useable
I searched here in moto-z forum but can´t find any similiar problems.
Do you have some troubleshooting ideas?
Hello all, I hope I'm writing this to the correct section; if not please let me know.
I have a Redmi Note 4, MTK variant. 2 days ago it randomly stopped producing audio.
Speakers doesn't work, when I put my headphones the phone recognizes it but again, no sound. When someone calls it doesn't ring and it records blank on voice recorder.
What I've noticed is; sometimes instead of getting audio I get static noise from speakers/headphones.
And yesterday I've moved my charging cable left and right and I barely got audio working for a few seconds alongside a loud noise. (Which also ruined my charging socket sadlol)
If I connect to my TV via Wi-Fi, I get sounds though.
I tried resetting my phone, installing a new ROM, flashing to stock files; always same result.
I went to the service today (some random tech place, they aren't officially in my country), they fixed the charging port but said they can't fix audio.
What can I try to fix it, or at least bypass? Because even a Pixel 3A is $700 in my country, and I'm stuck few months with this phone.

Edit: Apparently there's no fix. Used it for a few months with a Bluetooth headset, then had to buy a new phone.
