Please, can anyone tell me how to update ROM on my G2 Touch, and how to update Android OS? I sent e-mail to HTC, and they told me I must ask T-Mobile for updates. T-mobile told they don't know anything about updates...
So, please, if you know, explain how can I update ROM & Android OS. I donwloaded ROM update from HTC official site, but that ROM doesn't work on G2 Touch. Please help! Thanks very much!

Check first of all what version of ROM you already have installed.
Menu > Settings > About Phone > Build Number. (2.73.110.26 Latest)
If you require an update then you can go to the HTC website, enter your S/N and if there is an update available you can download the ROM and update it. Just double click the file and follow the instructions on screen.

Version of my ROM is 2.73.116.61 CL#79576 release-keys , and I am trying to install version 2.73.405.5
ERROR is : ERROR [131] : CUSTOMER ID ERROR
The ROM update Utillity cannot update your Android phone.
Please get the correct ROM Update Utillity and try again.
And how I suppose to update Android? Please help. Thanks very much!

Then your using a ROM that isn't supported, you will need to do it via the goldcard method.

You can always do something wrong when your messing about with firmware.

Excellent news!!! Will keep an eye out in April. I have debranded it now using the Goldcard Method but let's see if the debranded version will release the new firmware too!
If you have a T-Mobile G2 you can't install any updates from HTC.
You have a phone supported by T-Mobile (bad luck, me too) and so you have to wait for T-Mobile to release their own version. Sadly 2.1 will be anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 Months after HTC release their Official 2.1 Update.
Check the T-Mobile forums for all the news on Updates and the Twitter site!

You don't *have* to wait - you can always install a generic ROM if you wish.

Sorry to burst a bubble, however I am a new T-Mobile customer and I have flashed the phones ROM to generic HTC ROM. Aslong as someone releases the ROM online it can be flashed.
Recently android 2.3.4 launched as written here, so I need your help as experts as I want to upgrade my SGS2 to the new official untouched version as all what I saw here are rooted or added something to it by developer
So if anyone guide me to an official untouched one please paste link here

You could update you Rom on the official way.
Install Samsung kies on your pc and connect your device with the pc. Kies should guide you through the update.

i tried doing it but it says that no update have been found and I researched that the galaxy beam can be upgraded to ICS

If kies says that there is no update available it means that the ics update is probably not released in your country.
You could wait till its official available or take the unofficial way and flash a custom rom.
use unofficial ways like installing cyanogenmod.. the kies update comes with touchwiz wich sux for me.. dont know about you...

Further, i understand that there is a 4.4.4 USA (T-Mobile) update available, in that regard could i download it and use it on my phone. I am from Singapore and would appreciate any and all assistance on this.

Our Mega stopped at 4.4.2, no update to 4.4.4, you can check new firmwares released at Sammobile.com.
I recently acquired a Samsung GT-I9100 and it is still on 2.3.5. A lot of the info on here is outdated. Where can I get the update file and how do I install it? Thanks!
