Hello guys!
I successfully flashed B150 firmware on my phone but now the capacitive buttons don't work.
Is there any way to get the buttons back without reverting to B120 firmware?
Thanks for your help.

Have you checked the navigation key in settings?
Yes, I checked that.
I can change the configuration (Back button on the left or right) but nothing works.
Only the home/fingerprint button is working.

You could try clearing the cache in recovery mode. I believe this solved this issue for someone else after upgrading to a previous version.

Thank you but I also tried that.
I cleaned cache and dalvik cache but the buttons still don't work.
I'm desperate here.
I would really appreciate any help solving this problem.

I'd try flashing the ROM again.
Tried flashing the Rom again and still didn't fix the issue.
I gave up and downgraded to B120 and got the buttons working again.
Don't know what happened. I hope someone posts a fix for this soon.
How did you flash the firmware?
I lost the capacitive buttons too.
Only multifunction menu button work.
I reflash c432b150 without rebrand [link] but the capacitive dont work.
Need help!
I flash RR rom + vendor and there work the button.
After Factory reset, low lewel format. Next flash stock b130 and b150 too, but in stock rom doesn't work.
WHY???
Except from the B120 firmware there seems to be a bug that causes the lost of the capacitive buttons if you directly flash the stock rom on your device. Only way is flashing B120 and waiting for OTA to appear.
Ok, tomorrow i will try flash b120 firmware with FF proxy.

I used this guide: [link] without rebrand.
I did C432B120 downgrade with myself modified hwota.sh file and hwota.zip method.
After reboot and the capacitive buttons worked.
Next unlocked BL and rooted phone.
Work everything perfect.

I upgraded from B120 to B150 with Firmware Finder through proxy and the buttons were working perfectly.
However, after I flashed TWRP recovery, the buttons stopped working again.
So I guess the buttons issue is caused by TWRP recovery.
Is there any way to fix this in TWRP?

I upgrade too b120 to b150 with FF.
Then unlock BL again -> low level format -> reboot fastboot mode ->flash twrp [this] and reboot recovery -> wipe internal sd (because when twrp start this partition was corrupted) -> install SuperSU-v2.82-SR2-20170808115921.zip for root (this work together with capacitive button)

OK, thanks, I'll try that.
Question:
After flashing twrp you just wiped the internal storage? There is no need to wipe cache or data?
Thank you for your help.

However when i flash a new rom from recovery, the screen always freezes on samsung logo. The only solution is to reset each time the latest that nandroid I had. In addition today, i have not acess in recovery(philz). What you suggest me to do? Sorry for my enlgish and thanks in advance for the people who answer.

have you tried reinstalling the newest CWM of TWRP threw downloader mode and then trying to boot into it.
i would try that before i restore to stock, i prefer TWRP but it is more of a personal choice.

If you want to return your device to stock just grab the correct carrier OTA file for your X and flash it via Odin and you will be 100% completely stock. No root stock recovery and stock Rom

I had this issue, too once. Can't recap what exactly fixed it, but I flashed TWRP again (think that didn't fix it) and then dirty flashed a ROM (in this case the same, which was already on the phone). If I remember correctly it worked after the later only. Might have also had to flash superSU. No data should be deleted if you just dirty flash (but do make a backup, should be no problem, since you are stuck in recovery anyway [emoji12]).
What ROM did you try to flash? You're rooted?

I also dont really care if I lose photos or anything I already got all of them saved on my pc before I even started rooting the damn thing. I do need to ask tho how do you dirty flash and Do i just flash twrp normally since im already in it or ??? As I said im rlly new to this
TWRP can be flashed just from inside TWRP itself. Dirty flash means not do a factory reset before flashing.
Sorry that I can't remember what fixed it, but you can get out of it, 'cause I did, too...
Just wipe cache and dalvik/art cache then install separately TWRP, ROM, GAPPS, SUPERSU again and reboot after each install step to see of you reboot to TWRP again. That's what I did.
I use latest AICP ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=69699770) but that shouldn't matter.
Hope it helps.

It's happened to me too! Like three times lol. Just use UpperCut / LG UP to flash the latest nougat rom. That will fix the issue. You will need to re-root after that. There are instructions in this forum that tell how to do all of that. Good luck
Well and don't flash a ROM which is not for your device...
Okay guys ...
I tried to install the only available cm rom for honor 7. First I unlocked bootloader, than I installed right TWRP version and than i flashed rom ... but it just ran into bootloop (it doesn't boot up on and on again, it just stocks) ... I messed around, trying to flash old boot.img and recovery.img (from B170 Firmware) but still no way, to get the device boot up normal. also with original honor 7 image ...
i did a backup before where i backed up 3rd modem, boot, cust and system. ... but it doesn't changes anything when I restore ...
Can anybody give me help, how can I get out of this softbrick?
PS: i miss my nexus 4
edit: ok, i found a b121 firmware, image and recovery ... i will try this, but any suggestions are welcome!
there are so many things that you can do, depending on what you did.
if you did a nandroid backup of the stock rom, through twrp, then I would suggest you to flashback twrp and restore.
if not, you have another way
download the not so latest but a decently new full firmware for your device.. there will be an update.app file.
you need to extract that file.. (use huawei update extractor)
after extracting, find recovery.img
then flash that recovery.img(one you just found inside the update.app) using fastboot
now, pull out your sd card and make a folder called dload
and place the downloaded update.app inside it
insert back to your phone
(assuming that your phone is now turned off,) press and hold all the three buttons at once, until you see the honor logo.. then release,
if everything is done right, now your phone should start updating and reboot you back.
i think, this is far easier than fast booting all the three partitions.. good luck
hey,
thanks for your reply!

Hello,
I used full data wipe on my Honor 9 to remove decryption... now after restart the phone I'm in bootloop (Unlocked Bootloader message shows up --->Huawei Animation shows up--> Phone restarting and boots to Huawei Recovery)...
To fix it I already tried to flash the SYSTEM.IMG from B130 Firmware (https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/how-to/firmware-honor-9-stf-l09c432-b130-2017-t3649673) (Before I had B100 Firmware on my Phone)
....
Also tried multiple times to Factory Reset in TWRP, wipe manually Cache/Data/Dalvik
Didn't help... still exact same problem...
I can:
- Access TWRP
- Access Fastboot mode
- Access Stock Recovery
I would be glad if any (pro) could help me to restore my phone... Would pay you also 10€ via Paypal if it works...

Hi everyone,
I have this problem that TWRP asks me for a password every time, I tried entering my password but it didn't work, if I press cancel I get in the menu but TWRP can't see internal storage only SD card.
Does someone know a fix for this problem?
I've tried some stock passwords also I tried reflashing TWRP but neither worked for me.

This is a main problem right now on TWRP... You have to actually wipe all data for making TWRP work! there is not another way of doing it.

Yes, I assume that is the only way for now when installing custom ROM (Lineage OS 14.1) TWRP no longer asks for passwords on start-up even after restoring MIUI 9.6 via TWRP, it still doesn't want pass
I reset my device via wipe option in twrp home screen but , the problem still persists. Provide some other method to overcome this problem.

This is a main problem right now on TWRP... You have to actually wipe all data for making TWRP work! there is not another way of doing it.

Make a backup via TWRP and save it on USB OTG or SD card.
From the WIPE menu select ADVANCED
Select everything (except for USB OTG and MicroSD, that is where your backup is) and then Swipe to Wipe. Restore the backup you made.
That did it for me, I didn't clean flash official ROM because I've read that it bricks the device if you do it via TWRP (I am not sure if that is true or not, if someone has information, please share.)
Important: I am not some expert in flashing modifying unlocking and etc. This is just my personal experience, if you decide to try this and somehow you brick or/and damage your devices, I am not responsible in any way, if you are not sure what you are doing, better just don't do anything.
Good Luck!
TWRP 3.1.1.0
Nothing solved the problem but twrp 3.1.1.0 .
I am now having this proble where do I get twrp 3.1.1.0 the official site lists only 3? this password problem has annoyed me for hours now

Didnt worked for me.. i get the error "FAILED (remote: dtb not found)"
Flash miui with fastboot mode with pc than you see stock recovery come
All TWRP for Rosy (Miui 10, global/ EU) now has problem with password for encryption. However I just select SD, point to the downloaded ROM and flash, and it works! Update new rom and do not lose anything. I think it only hide the OS. I only swipe the data when OS crash
Use the steps in this thread

Hi everyone,
I have this problem that TWRP asks me for a password every time, I tried entering my password but it didn't work, if I press cancel I get in the menu but TWRP can't see internal storage only SD card.
Does someone know a fix for this problem?
I've tried some stock passwords also I tried reflashing TWRP but neither worked for me.
