Since temperated glass protectors seem to be such a pain in the ass or have to be really small when they do work; has anyone tried this protector?
Here it is on the moto X (very similar to ours in design and even has curved screen; AFAIK they have the same problems as us on the moto x glass thread):

They were supposed to arrive Saturday (USPS 1-day Priority Express shipping), but did not. They are finally moving again, and I suspect will arrive later today.
I will post some photos as soon as I can.
Just received and took a couple of pictures (the dust is on the surface, not under the screen protector).
It's a fairly thick plastic, more rigid than typical plastic screen protectors... very nice quality. Went on extremely easily, and the fit is perfect.
Overall, I'm fairly impressed. Of course, how it will stand up against use I'm not sure yet.
Let me know if you have any other questions or want more photos.

Looks very nice. How does it feel compared to the glass screen? Is it as slick? How responsive is it? And lastly have you ever had a tempered glass screen protector?

I have used tempered glass screen protectors before, and it doesn't feel substantially different than them. After having used it a few hours, I can say that it feels very good, and is very slick. However, it does appear that there might be a slight decrease in sensitivity over what I was using before (Spigen Crystal Hard Surface Screen Protector) or a good tempered glass protector. I suspect that's due to the thickness and it being a "shock absorbing" protector.
The Spigen felt good too, but of course, it's not a "shock absorbing" protector and is probably half the thickness.
I'll continue using it for a while. I have an intelliArmor intelliGlass protector I ordered that should be here soon. Of course, it won't have as much coverage, but I will try it out as well if the Power Support sensitivity bothers me.

Some additional feedback on this screen protector. I've definitely noticed that when swiping on the screen (especially when using Swiftkey Flow to enter words), that the phone is losing track of my finger mid-swipe. I've never seen this problem before with other screen protectors, so it's a little concerning. I've sent a support request to Power Support to see if they have any thoughts or recommendations on this issue. I'll let you know what I hear back. Until I get some resolution on this, I can't say I recommend this screen protector because of this particular reason.
Edit: since I have a second Power Support protector, I went ahead and installed the intelliArmor. Here are images:

Here's the response I received from Power Support:
We apologize that you're experiencing this issue. Our films undergo extensive testing on our end and through Motorola to ensure that they will not reduce the sensitivity of the touch screen. We rarely receive this complaint, but on occasion we have heard this with the Shock-absorbing Brilliant Film for Nexus 6. Please let us know your shipping address, full name, and telephone number and we can send you a replacement film.

Are you sure? It looks pretty flat from really looking at it...
It definitely has a curved edge. However, none of us know yet, whether the curve starts close enough to the edge to allow tempered glass screen protectors to fit without issues, or not. We will know shortly.
its suppose to be curved similar to how the iphone and note 4 are i believe.
Looks like it's going to have curved edges. Look at the images on this screen protector page. Looks like they are making it so that there's no halo effect.

yeah, a number of the TG descriptions say the same thing. I'm fine with that, hate the halo.
This is one of those things I dislike about a lot of new phones. The slight curve at the edge looks nice, but makes screen protectors more difficult to deal with.
I'd much prefer a perfectly flat screen so that I can get a nice glass screen protector that covers the entire face of the phone. This is why I keep falling back to the Spigen plastic film screen protectors on my Nexus 6, they cover as far out on the edges as possible. I just replace them as they get scratched.
I've got a Orzly pro fit protector on the way and it says the edges are curved on it to fit the screen perfectly

Does it say when the protector is estimated to arrive? I just ordered the Orzly protector this morning and I'm really hoping it will magically get here before the phone does, even though shipping estimate for the protector is Nov 14 - 28.

The purpose isn't even to look nice with a screen protector (which are useless anyway -- won't stop you from cracking the screen, since it will crack right through a screen protector). The purpose of curved edges is to EXPOSE the screen to drop damage, since the screen now sticks out beyond the frame instead of being tucked slightly into the frame.
This is what they do in order to maintain sales volumes when they realize that phone technology is so good now that you are likely to keep the same phone for several years. Make them break and you have to replace!
I can confirm that the pixel has curved edges and it is slightly less curved compared to the oneplus 3

Hey everyone!
I read everywhere online that the 3/3T and the 5 share *very* similar screens. So similar, in fact, that they may very well have exact identical dimensions as well as being 2.5D.
So...with that in mind...
Anyone think the 3/3T screen protectors will fit the 5? Cases won't since the 5 is thinner, but maybe the SPs ?
Thoughts?

I think the phone is gonna have the same problem the 3t had. There won't be any good choices. Even the official one for the 5 has the same black border that caused blocked pixels on the 3t official tempered glass screen protector. Are those black borders really necessary?

Yeah, I know. For my 3/3T, I had finally *settled* on a Best Skins Ever (same as ZAGG) since it would stick everywhere and had no halo effet. Not glass, but still not so bad.
There's nothing out yet for the 5 so I was hoping to order another 3/3T Best Skins Ever for my 5.

i tried tempered glass and regular screen protector but all came off on the edges because of the 2.5D.

It does. It's very nice, much more so than half-assed 2.5D glass protectors with halo and dot matrix effects.
Can't speak for the body protector as I'm only using their screen protector (I use a Spigen case for the body).
If you have ever used ZAGG protectors, they're the same.
They're a wet application, as well, so that's something to consider if you're not cautious.

Yes, same orange peel as ZAGG. I don't mind it too much, though, as it's not that bad, but definitely nowhere near as nice as a tempered glass SP.

I hear you on the orange peel... On my "flat" screened phones, I always use glass SPs, but since the OP3/3T were curved, I preferred orange peel over having ****ty halo effect and dot matrix and lifting corners and what-have-you...
I wished the OP5 would have a flat screen, but alas, it's not the case

So there's no perfect phone? I was looking at the S8, but I don't like the curved screens. The Oneplus isn't curved much is it? I'm very sensitive to light and have to use an anti glare screen protector or else my vision goes double.
I wonder if @intelliARMOR will develop a screen protector for the OnePlus 5. Got their products for my old Nexus 6P and the quality and customer support was simply amazing! I've seen they already have a protector for the 1+3, maybe they'll update their intelliGLASS for this occasion.

I can confirm the official TGSP for the 5 has the same pixel blocking issue. I didn't own a 3/3T, but I did just look up the photo of what you mentioned, and sure enough, I've got the same issue. Wish Orzly would make a completely transparent one like their one for the OPO (rocked it from October 2014 until now and it's been perfect).
I've recently purchased some black glass screen protectors from CASEBASE.
Fitment is perfect no issues for me.
I do believe they are thinner than others or at least 1 of the thinnest.
They are £6.99 for 2 on ebay.
Just giving you the heads up to protect your op5's

Mine is exactly the same with a slight lift along the bottom edge of the screen. The 3T I had briefly was much worse as the lift was top and bottom.
It's the curse of the 2.5D screen and a slightly misaligned or badly sized protector.

No I've not noticed any loss of screen none that I'm aware off as I make sure the screen is lit up when I'm installing it.

No, there will be not. Okay well if they change adhesive/glue type.
Working thing would need to entire tgsp be adhesive. Or maybe Whitestone style, they have somekind of different glue system which you dry with UV lamp.
But really oil slick comes because glass is just touching screen part thanks to glue on the sides only. So it leaves really small gap between tgsp and glass and if you havent cleaned your screen like some sort un-humam/robot which is really impossible, there will be oil slick.. Maybe not right after you have installed it but soon. Some manufacters (like Orzly) makes "dots" to prevent oil slick. It basically lift really really littlebit tgsp from phone's glass surface so tgsp wouldnt touch screen surface. But then people are crying about visible annoying dots on tgsp.
Thats why Oneplus official tgsp is adhesive from entire glass. But because of OP3/3T/5 style (glass starts bending before screen ends) they needed to cut about 0.4mm from both side with protectors black borders to not produce halo.
So none of methods what different manufacter use, isnt good enough...
Oh i forgot ones without black borders. Either they will end before screen ends or they will cover entire screen but leaves on sides.

They had the matrix dots on the CASEBASE but they don't seem to help the rainbow affect. Whitestone is the way to go I was tempted to get that kit for my s8+ but I found a protector that worked for the s8 even with its big curve.
I'm very surprised there isn't any perfect 1s for oneplus 5. The CASEBASE is close but not quite there. Fitment in it is good.
I think I'll end up with some tpu on it ?

Yeah dots should theoretically help on oil slick and prevent them but it wont delete those entirely and my personal opinion is that it wont help at all.
Orzly's last year model for 3/3T had also dots and oil slick so im not confident that it would be better for this They still have dots, thats what i know for sure

What company the tempered glass is of?
Has anyone use liquid screen protector on the LG V60? I'm more interested in the screens for the second display. If so which kind did you use. Thanks in advance for your response.
Sounds like a waste of money. Magic liquid that keeps a rock from breaking your screen. The glass protectors are best. But you cant use two. It wont close right and will eventually damage the hinge. I use one on the secondary screen because it gets flipped to the back and the phone is often set down on it. I use a flexible plastic screen protector on the main screen. Even a thin plastic protector has a tint but of give and can protect against impacts to some degree. At BEST a liquid screen protector will be like a. Car wax. It does a little something but is nowhere near what a piece of glass over your screen does. At worse its a bottle of rubbing alcohol.
Thanks for the reply. I was thinking glass on the main screen and film on the other screen.
Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk
I use glass on both and just never "shut" the screen. I always fold the screen to the back when I just want one display. To me the front screen is completely worthless and I'd prefer having glass on both.
That's an option that I hadn't considered.
