I have an Amazfit Bip clock and it has blocked in "Activity" page.
The touch screen does not respond, the physical side button either, the Mi Fit fails to connect, ...
The clock continuously displays that "Activity" menu screen and you can not interact with it.
How can I reset it or what should I do to use the watch?
I use Mi Fit 3.0.5, FW-0.9.14
Thanks

Yes, it happens when BIP trying updating A-GPS data. Run MiFit, keep watch close phone and let him update. Sometimes is failed, but close MiFit, clear memory and try again until success.
Thanks a lot.
In fact, it must be something related to what you say, becasuse as soon as the clock was recovered and connected again to the Mi Fit, it began to update the A-GPS.
What I do not know is if the solution you proposed works, because while it was blocked, the Mi Fit did not recognize it (it always put Connecting ...), it did not connect and I mismatched it and then I could not find it to link it again. That is, there was no bluetooth connection between My Fit and Clock, so I do not know how I could have updated the A-GPS clock trough the Mi Fit
Fortunately, the clock went off and when I put it to charge it started well and it works.
Hi there,
since today i have got the same problem. Sadly the battery is charged 100% so waiting for discharge may take some time. Does somebody know how to reset or force reboot or force discharge the watch?
Thanks in advance!
Amazfit bip problem
Hi, i got exactly the same problem with you..
After i switched my smartphone (from huawei P9 to LG V20) My amazfit Bip suddenly updating A GPS and after that, the touch display is hardly responding, then when i long press the button, it start to displays workout session that cannot be stopped or interrupted in the meantime, Mi Fit can not sync/interract during workout session).
After spent several frustating days, finally i conclude that the main issue is the firmware.
So here is what i did :
- Let the Amazfit watch battery drain (since the activity/workout session can not be stopped, it will drain faster than ussual).
- Recharge the watch until more than 10% and re-connect it to Mi Fit app. (Don't charge it too long, because when something goes wrong you will have to take time to drain the battery again).
- Download NOTIFY & FITNESS FOR AMAZFIT" app from google playstore and connect your Amazfit with the app.
- When the Amazfit Bip paired to Notify & Fitness For Amazfit,
unpaired the watch from the Mi Fit App, then uninstall Mi Fit from your phone.
- Now you have only 'Notify & Fitness for Amazfit' app connected to your amazfit bip.
.- Go to setting section in the app, scroll down and you will find firmware update section, then update the amazfit firmware (you will find some option : english/spain/italian etc., i've choosen english version)
- There imare 3 items that you have to sequintly update one by one : firmware, recources and gps (i failed to update the gps, but all i know, it doesn't matter anyway...)
- After the update finished (sometimes it failed, but i repeat it on and on untill it's succeed), my amazfit starts to work proper and not displaying work out session anymore.
Notify & Fitness for Amazfit is my saviour!
It works better than the official Mi Fit app.
Blocked after Workout
I also had a blocked Amazfit Bip:
On my first workout (a 3 hour bicyle ride), I wanted to stop it. Unfortunately the watch always restarted the workout again.
First I thought that I had double tapped the screen after pressing the Ok (to finish) button. But I tried this for at least 30 times. It always restartet the workout.
I still got a connection from the Mi Fit App, but it told me that the watch is within a workout.
I disconnected / reconnected the MiFit App several times and somehow I was able to quit the Workout.
I immediately switched off the watch, restarted and everything was fine again. No new firmware flashing was required.
I only have it since two days.
[Firmware 0.1.0.26]

Hi all!
I faced a problem after installing the latest update from the Mi Fit official app.
Amazfit Bip is stuck on "smartphone <--> watch"
The watch at night decided to update, the phone was in power saving mode and apparently the update hung in the process.
Now on the watch screen only one picture as on an attached screenshot "smartphone <--> watch"
I have been installed several fw's, .res and .gps files by Gadget Bridge (from 0.0.9.49 to 0.1.0.45) tried 20 times but after flashing "smartphone <--> watch" screen appears again.
Now watches works like 1st Mi Band (steps taken appears in Mi Fit app)
Any idea how this can be fixed?
Thank you in advance!
http ://prntscr.com/i2pq06
Partially repaired by downgrading fw to v.0.0.8.74. In this fw watches display works correctly (shows time and I can switch menus). Upgrading to fw above 0.0.8.74 leads to stuck display.
Did you try to set the system language (temporarily) to english? You have no location in your profile so I could only guess. The german mi fit app seems to have this error, too, and un-/re-pairing after setting system language to english is a temporary fix here. Its annoying because after the next update - sometimes agps sync is enough to trigger it - the same error occurs again.

Unpair Amazfit BIP from the mi fit app (at the bottom of the device settings screen).
Close mi fit app.
Switch system language to english (somewhere in the phone's settings, differs from device to device).
Start mi fit app.
Connect Amazfit BIP with mi fit app (if you don't have any other smart devices connected, this should be accessible from the first screen).
Confirm connection on the BIP.
Wait for any update/GPS/AGPS/sync to be finished.
The Amazfit BIP should now work. Maybe some settings have been reset and the watchface is back to default.
It should be safe to switch the system language back to what it was.
This fix is not permanent. It happened again, when I changed some settings and alarms in the mi fit app, and after an AGPS update (this should be made optional!). But I could not nail down the trigger, as it's running as expected now. I don't know if that's applicable for other languages as well as I only use german - and english for short periods lately.

Sorry, no idea. If you did the unpairing before the language switching and then the re-pairing, it should partly reset the BIP (but no factory reset, that could only be done from the watch menu).
It's a pity, they did not build in a way to shut down the watch. Some people reported, that after the watch completely drained its battery,, it worked afterwards (but maybe only until the next sync).
Better write to huami for a fix to that.
Btw. I had to reconnect my watch two times today, so I better leave the mi app alone until I get home or my goal is finished. The re-pairing and agps update drains my phone battery quit a lot.

Thanks, but that's exactly the version I am running and that triggered the (buggy) firmware update in the first place.
I have a shortcut for my workaround. While the bug is triggered by any sync apart from steps, it also occurs when notifications are deleted from the watch. I set my phone to english and it seems to be enough to switch bluetooth off and on to reactivate the watch (on my german phone).
That way I don't loose the step counter and settings on the watch. Not that much of a hassle as before, but still annoying. I hope for an update of the firmware soon. Does anybody know a kontact to huami for the BIP? I just found one for the Pace and the Arc, but nothing for the BIP.
A was able to "unstuck" my Bip. Here are my steps:
1. unpair watch
2. Switch phone do English UK
3. Reboot phone
4. Pair watch again with Mi Fit app -> I was able to pair my watch on 2nd try. You should see now a time on display (after update of AGPS).
5. Switch phone back to your language
I think, we have to wait for an update for the firmware. Please report this bug via the mi fit app (the reporting function is a little bit buggy as it requires several tries most of the time). You can include the watch logs as well, maybe that helps to eliminate this bug.
My workaround is rather quick - close mi fit app if open, set phone language to English, wait for the phone to rearrange things, disable bluetooth, wait a short time, enable bluetooth, tap amazfit watch in list, start mi fit app, watch back working without settings and steps lost.
I admit, I am too lazy for that, so I just leave the phone set to englisch until this is sorted out...

Same issue with my brand new BIP i have just received yesterday.
After pairing, it syncs with the Mi Fit app but the screen stuck in the phone <--> watch screen.
I changed the phone language to English (from Hungarian), pairing is fully done now with watch screen nicely working too.
Anybody ideas on why this is happening and how it should be resolved?

I am having the same problem. Stuck in the "pairing screen". What can I do?
I also had the same problem in my OnePlus phone. My language was already English. Suddenly watch displayed Spanish language error saying asking to reconnect to phone.
I tried all the above methods but nothing worked even after multiple restarts and unpair/uninstall and watch still showing same error
I paired the watch with different smartphone. At that time it updated resources and agps then mi fit keeps crashing again
Don't know what to do and watch has more than 75 percent battery also. This is becoming really annoying. Not expected from a manufacturer like xiaomi

Sadly, I am back - stuck on sync screen... We have to wait for next update i think.
Hello,
Two days ago, I completed a bicycle ride of 43.37 km, while recording the activity with my Amazfit Stratos. Today, I connected to the Amazfit Watch app in my phone to sync my activities (Normally, I have my Stratos in Airplane mode in order to save battery and connect to my phone once every two or three days). To my surprise, this one (made on 2018-08-27) was not shown in my activities page in the Amazfit Watch app. I have to note, that another short ride that I made the day after (on 2018-08-28) of 10.09 km is shown in the app. Also, this discrepancy appears on the total mileage (in the app) versus the sports history (on the watch) readings (the former shows 662, 85 km, while the latter shows 706,07 km). Of course, the 43.37 km ride is shown on my Stratos.
I tried a few things to bring this activity to the cloud, like closing and reopening the Amazfit Watch app, rebooting the watch, but nothing helped.
I must also note that, while connecting today, the watch updated to the latest version. I don't know if that had an effect on syncing.
Does anyone have any suspicion on why is this happening and how can I correct this?
I have also submitted a question to Amazfit support page and I am waiting for their response.
Thank you,
Evangelos
Hi,
I have the same issue. The activity and sleep info are not displayed in Amazfit Stratos since I have updated the device the last weekend.
Do you have received any answer from Amazfit support?.
Thanks.

I received the following reply from Amazfit support:
"Please go to your phone Bluetooth settings to cache Bluetooth cache, toggle Bluetooth OFF and ON, reboot the watch and phone, log out and then re-open app and try connecting again.
If your issue persists, please connect wifi on the watch and go to more settings---upload. Tap upload on the watch to upload data to Amazfit Watch app and open your app to sync. Then unpair the device from your phone and re-pair it to have a try."
I tried the first method, but it didn't work. Then, I proceeded to the second method of manual uploading data, which remedied the problem. I suspect that it is not necessary to unpair and re-pair the watch - I think that a log-out and log-in will do the job. If you follow this technique, after uploading data, try to log-out and log-in again and check your activity in the app to see if everything is back. If not, then go for a unpair-re-pair process.
Hope this helped.

Solved after uninstalling Amazfit app 2 times and clean cache.

Hello there,
I'm wondering if my Amazfit GTR (42mm) is not dying/dead
Here are the symptoms on the watch:
- The watch boots, but only displays the following message:
"Please open the App. and select "Check for updates" on the watch device page to continue update.
- After a few seconds the watch reboots, and repeats
==> So it seems the GTR is low on power
Meanwhile, on the Amazfit App
- During the little time the watch is visible, I can see it connected
- There is a red dot in front of "Check for updates"
- If I check it, and select "Update", I get the following message
"Make sure battery level is mode than 10% to update"
==> It's confirmed, the watch is too low on power to update
So I did the logical thing: connect the watch to the charger
- The watch then strongly vibrates for 20s
- It reboots
- And repeats
I have tried letting the watch in its reboot-vibrate cycle for 15 minutes, but nothing changed
==> It seems I can't charge my GTR anymore
Does anybody have any clue?
Is my GTR near-dead?
Thank you
I received mine today (47mm) and it also showed the message Please open the App. and select "Check for updates" on the watch device page to continue update. On another site, I found that I should remove the GTR from the Amazfit app and add it again, and maybe remove data from the Amazfit app altogether. I was using an Amazfit Bip before, so it made sense to me, and maybe I just needed to delete app data. But just after tapping on the option to remove the GTR from the app, before the app asks for confirmation, the update continued itself and the watch is now working. Battery was at 95%, so it wasn't a battery issue in my case.
Anyway, try removing the watch from the app and then deleting data for the Amazfit app and re-adding the watch again. This should eventually work. I've seen people commenting it can take a few tries before it finally works.
And also, you might need to keep the watch charging for a longer time, if your battery is currently dead. It this doesn't work, then the watch is definitely defective.
Thanks @jman0 for your feedback.
I also had a Bip before, and I did try to unpair the GTR completely from the Amazfit App, and pair it again, but I didn't remove data from the App.
I'll give it a try, but I fear the "reboot loop" when charging is not a very good sign (I suppose charging is independent from the App)

Hello there,
Update: I eventually managed to revive my GTR 42, yay !
How I did it:
Short version: "Just keep charging, just keep charging, charging, charging!"
Long version:
- I was in a boot loop "need firmware update - need 10% power to update - reboot during charging"
- Cleaning the contacts on the watch and charger, charging from PC or charger did not change anything
- Eventually, I:
Kept using the charger (a 2.4A one)
Left the watch to charge (with the boot loop) for a few hours
At a certain point, the battery reached enough charge to be able to install the firwmare at last
From then on, everything went back to normal.
So I'm no longer watch-less, I'll be watchful of any future firmware update
PS: During my search for answers, the gearbest support was very helpful and reactive
I've been using an Amazfit Bip together with the Mi Fit app for a long time without any problems. The Bip hardly ever lost connection to the phone. Then I bought an Amazfit Bip S and as the Mi Fit app does not support it, I had to use the Amazfit app. I recognized that the Bip S permanently lost bluetooth connection to the phone, no matter what settings I changed. So I thought it would be a problem of the Bip S and bought a normal Bip again. But same problem... if the phone does not lie directly on the table, most of the time Bip has no bluetooth connection. Even if the phone is in its case on my belt, the Bip loses connection.
So it must have something to do with the Amazfit app, I guess. Somewhere I read that if you uninstall and reinstall it, Bluetooth connection problems may be gone. But if I uninstall the app, I lose all data, so before I do that I try to investigate what could be the problem.
The phone is a Blackview BV9700 Pro. I already cleared all data and cache of the Bluetooth app. I restarted the phone. I turned Bluetooth off and on again. I turned the option for a permanent notification in the Amazfit app on and off, makes no difference.
Can anyone confirm that the Amazfit app has a bad Bluetooth connection compared to the Mi Fit app? Could the problem be caused because both apps were installed at the same time at the beginning? I had Mi Fit installed, installed Amazfit and because the Bip was recognized by both apps I uninstalled Mi Fit and kept only Amazfit.

Hello,
Few things:
- I would recommend you to use only one App, AmazFit or MiFit at a time. I guess AMazFit is preferable depending on the watch you have. Unpair from one app and uninstall the app you don't want to use
- if you uninstall and reinstall the Amazfit or MiFit app with same credentials, Mi account or with mail/phone number, you should recover your data saved and you won't loose all your history. Maybe the one from the current day, I think. I jumped from MiFit to Amzfit with same account with no problem, recovering data for many years
- concerning the bluetooth, not sure what OS your are using, iOS or Android. You could check in the Amazfit or Mi Fit app properties if the OS is not using "battery saver" functions. Sometimes, by default, the battery saving is in "restricted mode" which can affect connections like wifi/bluetooth to save power. Try to see if you have this battery saving function ON and set to "no restrictions" - at least this is what I do on my Android phone.

The phone uses Android 9. The Amazfit app is not restricted by any battery saving modes as I put it on "Not optimized" just like the Mi Fit app before.
I' ve just recently bought redmi note 9 pro. My amazfit watch is t-rex. Since then every time I turn on my redmi , I have to enable gps, in order to connect the t-rex with zepp app, otherwise it doesn't connect. The message that appears is in the screenshot
Same with Amazfit Bip
Had same issue with my Amazfit Bip initially when the app was released. After about a dozen connects it now allows me to sync with bluetooth only however the initial sync only loads steps counts, I have to close app fully and reload to get it to sync any sleep data.
Weird!
I simply uninstalled the app. It has become pretty useless.

True. For me, it was nothing lost, because nothing I did (other than uninstalling it and then installing it again - every time) would make it connect. It was working perfectly fine before it became zepp.
