Bip displays: "Connect app ti retry" after res file failed update - Amazfit

Hi everyone!
Today my amazfit bip , while updating a res file, got this message displayed. I tried to update again but it didn't work. Few minutes after this trouble bip disconnected from any app (mifit, notify, gadgetbridge) on my phone and also disappeard from the Bluetooth devices list.
I don't know what to do..

Hi! I have the same issue. Were you able to find any solution? I tried this approach but I do not see Amazfit BIP in devices and mobil is unable to find it.

I don't really know how, after a day letting the BIP display this message it finally came back in the devices list on my phone.. so I can't help you, sorry

It's ok, I had it this way about a week and yesterday, I unpaired it with my phone and in a few minutes the bip did the factory reboot.
So, on the second attempt, it updated successfully.

Amazfit english version screen touch not working.

Hello developers,from last 5 days my amazfit touch screen not working.Its getting charging and even displays time.I tried to restart it 100 times but no use.I drained the battery and charged it 100% but still no use.Anyone please help.

I also got the same issue with the watch. I found a solution to this. U can easily rectify it by unpairing the watch through phone's Amazfit app. Then watch will restart and touch will start to work. Afterwards if any updates for watch is available u can update.
Try this....
If already u have rectified the problem, tell me how and please share it. It will be useful for other users.

I have the same problem, but even after I did the unpairing, it still doesn't work, and the battery drains within a day. Now I cannot even pair the watch with my phone (Mi6) as the screen does not react to touch.

What is the watch model and firmware? Did you try to flash any ROM or it's still stock?

Dear bsvinod, i have done the same thing which you have said,but no use the display touch not working,its getting charged and shows the display but touch not working please help i really love this watch.

the watch model is A1612 i dont have any idea about firmware as it is english version and i last updated it in september 2017 from then its display doesnt work.No,i haven't tried to flash its still stock.

So it's still stock... Does it connect to Amazfit app on phone? If yes, have you tried to upair the watch while it's connected and pair again? If yes again, I am sorry but most probably it's a hardware issue.
No at present i have unpaired it.

at present i have unpaired it but while i iam trying to pair it,its needed the QR code for which the watch doesnt connecting.

Try with another Amazfit app version, another account, and another phone. If all fail, then again, probably it's due to a hardware failure.

before the watch display stops responding i had installed custom watch faces into watch and after one week the watch's display stopped responding.
It gets charging its displaying only the current watch face but touch not responding.
I also have the same problem. Touch screen is not working. Pace 2.6.2.0. Pace is normally charging, no flickering on the screen. I have unpaired it with the phone, but no possibility to pair it again since I can't tell to confirm pairing number.

Use the phone with Amazfit that is currently paired with the watch to unpair it, keep both close and connected to each other so when you unpair all data on watch will be erased.

As my problem not resolved i went to mi showroom in hyderabad to get repaired as i entered and switched on my watch the touch got response and i increased my brightness and after 10 sec it again not responding i showed to them they said they dont know how to do.
One of other repair person said its clearly an software problem.After i came to room it again started responding but after few seconds it again stops.so can you please guide me how to factorh reset my amazfit pace english version watch?

If it's paired with phone, go to Amazfit app -> My Watches -> More and tap on Unpair (it will erase all data on watch).
Or use the remote control app to go to Settings -> Device and choose factory reset. But I thought you had already done this (factory reset)...
Dear developers,
i have tried everything and at last my watch has been working its been updated 4 times and at present the version is 2.8.0.5
previously it was 1.2.6.0 or something.....its been working but sometimes the touch is not working,if i left it aside and after 10 to 15 minutes or after i restart it then it will work.
can you guys help me for this?
we can say that screen is flickering(making small quick moments).

Amazfit screen not showing anything
Hello, I'm writing hoping someone can help me.
My pace it's broken or so it seems, like it is turned on but not showing anything on screen. In first it seemed dead but was connected to my phone and counting steps but nothing on screen.
When receiving notifications it was vibrating as usual but again nothing on screen.
If I turn it off it shows battery charging, when I turn is on shows Amazfit logo but after screen shutsdown and nothing appears.
I have it unpaired now and can't pair again...
I have unlocked boatloader and reflashed latest us tomorrow but... Same behavior, did this appened to someone, or can someone help?

Hello good peoples of the world. I'm having a problem of Auto-sync menu missing which is suppose to be at setting -general-sync. Recently I disconnected my watch from the amazfit watch app and reconnected it. And after that the entire menu of sync is missing. Anybody had simmilar problem with me or knows how to make it reappaear?

Amazfit Stratos 3 cannot find new firmware 4.2.2.1

My Stratos 3 is currently running 4.2.2.0 firmware.
Today Amazfit app has notified me a new firmware available: 4.2.2.1, but when I choose to upgrade, the watch looks for latest version and says it's on the latest.
Is there any way to force the discovery? I'm currently facing problems to sync sport activities between the watch and the Amazfit App and I'd like to test the new firmware to see it solves those problems.

Hi Johny, did you do anything else? I have done already like 10 factory resets, and the only thing I get after the incredibly fast firmware download is "Coudn't download updates, try again", and if try again, "Current version is up to date", once and once again
I'm losing my nerves with this watch, it works really bad
I'm in the same problem... I did 3 favtiry resets without any result. After a factory reset wath download firmware but appears a download error and stops... My watch version is A1929.
Another stranger thing is inthe amazfit app apeears a message to download the lastest version everytime.:crying:
Make sure watch can connect to Wi-Fi properly, otherwise it won't download the update. You can connect it in the settings on watch (of course).

The download finishes to 100% but when it try to install appear the download fail message... The wifi connection is on, and it seems to download all the firmware.
It can be a servet fail or similar. But it download to the 100%, I don't understand... I try 4 times factory reset and delete amazfit app to in mobile with same result.
If you know how to use adb, you can try this:
1. Connect the watch to the computer using USB
2. Make sure you have a file named "update.zip" on watch's internal storage after it reaches 100% downloading
3. Check if adb is working with:

4. If it does, try to start the update with this other command:

adb reboot update
It was very very weird.
When I was at home, my watch always told me it was on the latest version, but when I tried again far from home, it detected the new version (but I didn't have a Wifi around to download).
I then used my mobile Wifi tethering but I received an error on OTAUpdate module.
I did a Factory reset and I downloaded and installed it perfectly.
Really weird indeed... I was able to update also by tethering, wifi at home or office didn't work, so thanks for your help

Finally I can update, I explain the steps I have done.
1-factory reset
2-pair the phone with amazfit app.
3- select the update in the amazfit app ( not the stratos, because if you select in ther fails)
4- put password wifi and update.
The most extrange thing is because the same steps I done 6 or 7 times before, with the same wifi connection.

no need in factory reset, there was a bad file pushed to the OTA. it was replaced, everything should work out of the box.
I'm still not able to update but that looks like different issue.
When I try to enter wifi password in Amazfit app, press tick mark on keyboard it does nothing. On phone keyboard closing, window to enter password still there with password entered (no ok or other button) and Stratos 3 still waiting for password.
Maybe that is some incompatibility with Android 10 in Nokia 8.1?

Same issue here. The updated worked for 4.2.2.0 after many attempts but not the 4.2.2.1. I tried using the watch directly or the app.
Also, the watch quality is poor. GPS doesn't work properly for running even if trying different GPS combinations (GLONASS, GALILEU,)
I had the Amazfit Pace and it was great comparing with this one.. Really disappointed.
Really, so it suffers the same flaw as GTR/GTS? Another Huami failure?

Yes.. Just saw other pages about GTR / GTS. Exactly the same.
It takes a long time to get signal and I even had a run of app. 7 km that the watch recognized as about 13 km.
Doesn't seem like an easy and quick fix either..
I'm about to action the warranty..

just got mine i can definitly say there's nothing to do with GTR (sent it back)... accruacy is very good on this watch.

I'm 4.2.2.1 got it upgrade first time I boot.
Tried 2 or 3 times accuracy is good. GPS+Galileo (I'm french)
But I'm facing some bugs (due to early fw) the time of my workout it 1 hour sooner in amazfit app (if I do it at 15h00 it's displayed at 14h in amazfit app) in the watch it's ok.
I had also to disable "workout synced notification" because it was never stopping to send notification)
Last think I've noticed some notification are double sent: ex Gmail
But has I said the watch was first only in English French language came with latest fw. Some of you have those bugs?

Yes, working good, but same bugs (French too)
- Receiving notifications twice
- Sync notification cannot stop

Watch keeps ringing !

Im a new user of this forum and have just bought a new
AMAZFIT GTR 2​Im using this watch with my android mobile, firmware 5.1.0.4 font 7
i noticed that after my phone has been on flight mode and then removed from flightmode, then my watch keeps ringning about 20 times with the last caller from the day before
i tried to restart my watch + my phone but same problem, does anyone else heard about this, any solution for this ?
I have the exact same issue on my GTS2 Indian variant. Happens everyone I either put my phone on flight mode, switch off bluetooth and turn it back on.
It's either last call notification, or the last message notification. It keeps on ringing and vibrating for 20 minutes. Have not found any solution to this yet.
Nice to know that im not alone with this issue

Did you try a version update. I have a GTR 2 version 5.2.11.1 in english.
Not sure if this can solve your problem though, but I don't have this issue.

I had a visit from a friend and he has the same watch, firmware and he also have the same problem....

Amazfit Stratos GPS isn't available

I have a Amazfit Stratos A1619, ROM 2.3.13.0 (last ROM). Since the last updade of the firmware, i am facing some problems with the GPS signal. Now the smartwatch can't connect anymore. I tryed to install/uninstall the app, did the factory reset, try on different phone, and nothing helped.
I was wondering if you guys can give a solution for this case.

I had the same problem with my GTS2 , after an update the gps stop working . I've done everything but it won´t work. Since this sh1t has no wired (usb) connection, there is nothing we can do about it.
Same problem with stratos 3 working on ROM 4.2.5. GPS is not available.
It also looks like agps does dot update with Zepp.
I did several factory reset, uninstall/reinstall Zepp.
I'm bored of this Amazfit watch.
Maybe an issue with the Huami server ?

I think I found a good solution : I bought a second hand Garmin Fenix 5 !
me too, I have tried many times for Amazfit Stratos A1619, ROM 2.3.13.0 but all failed to catch GPS

I have verified with ADB tool that agps files are up to date when swatch is synchronized with ZEPP APP, so this is not the root cause. Some times, GPS is detected very quickly, some times, never, at the same place outside, very stange. Can we downgrade ROM ?
I have same problem here. I used amazfit since 2017, and this happend. So dissapointed. I have try contact amazfit support, they gave me older version of zepp app, but still have agps expired and cannot be updated. Maybe it's time to move on to gamin
