Hi, I've been using the tablet for more than 3 year and it's still rocking the original firmware. After all this time I'm sick on the full storage warnings...
Whats the best way to fuse my microSD to the ROM storage since the official SONY version of Android 6.0.1 does no have that option.
thanks for any help!

Hi all,
I am a newbie to installing custom ROMs, rooting etc.
As we all know Sony's Xperia U is going to launch near this month's end, I am having a doubt (before I really consider to buy that phone).
Seeing the specs I found out that there is no micro-SD card slot, so my question is based on that.
Is it possible to root, install custom ROMs on a phone without having a separate memory area such as a micro SD card slot? as I do want to try Cyanogen mod and others available after I get an Xperia U.
Would you guys recommend me to buy a phone not* having an micro-SD card slot??
What about backups done before rooting/modding a phone? (since we wipe-off memory banks before/after installing a custom ROM isn't that neccesary?)
Thanks & Regards,
sky770
I guess that all would be possible, because the phone features a sort of 4 GB internal sd card.. there is a separate 4 GB for the OS and apps which will be wiped before installing a ROM.

Hi, I recently 'reset' my s2 to pass on to my sister. I flashed the cyanfox 2.0.2 (KitKat) ROM I had been using previously without issue, but she is now being restricted with the 2gb app partition I remember from the Gingerbread days. I can't understand why, does anybody know why this is/can offer a fix ?
Many thanks.

Its normal its there in every s2 in every rom
Thanks for that. I suspected that was the case but was told that newer versions of Android had removed that restriction. I obviously didn't have enough apps latterly for it to be an issue. Apps 2 SD card it is then !
Repartition and joice afterwards, no matter what Android ver. or rom you want to mount: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...es/mod-partition-internal-memory-app-t2538947
ps: it's completely on you, like it was on me for doing so. Now I'm a happy bunny with my internal memory partition of 4Gb's, therefore I would advise to use 4GB Pit from there... Plenty of room there.
Greetings PROGRAMs! Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'm at a bit of a conundrum.
I have an HP Slate 7 extreme Nvidia tegra tablet currently running Android 4.3. I just got the update notification this morning and I would like to know if it's safe to update to 4.4.2. I've read the horror stories about 4.4.2 disabling external SD card usage and I just got a 32gb micro SD.
So, should I update? Any help is always appreciated. Thanks!
There are serious bugs in the 4.4 VPN subsystem. If you're a VPN user, absolutely do not upgrade. Even the recent 4.4.4 release does not fix the problems. Easy goog search for details.
Interesting. Thanks for the warning. I don't use a VPN, but will everything else work?

If you root that phone then SD card can be fixed to use. I use 32 GB Sandisk SD card on my Samsung Galaxy S Plus running CM11 Android 4.4.3
Just take a backup (NANDroid backup, not regular data backup) of 4.3 ROM if you want to revert back.
Sent from my GT-I9001 Gadget of Mass Destruction with CM11 using XDA Developers App.
Ah, I see. I'd love to root this tablet but unfortunately, I got it from my job, so I don't know if I should root it if they ask for it back. Still helpful though. Thanks!
I have a Chinese android tablet running a 4.2 rom.
I need help on fixing a partition issue since development on these roms is not as widely supported
my tablet has 32gb, the rom i installed seems to be limited and only shows that I have 16gb.
Is there anyway I could fix this?
I know it's definitely the rom and not a hw issue, because i had the full 32gb on another rom, and it only got limited to 16gb after installing this new rom.
I want to stay with this rom since it preforms the best out of all the others I tried for my device
Hello, my name is Andy.
I'm using Padfone S since 2015 and it's been 3 years now.
I'm trying to downgrade my phone to either LP or KK because GPS in MM is terrible and apps can only use internal storage.
After almost 2 year using MM, I've decided to revert back but ASUS said that they the tools to do it.
I've successfully downgrade from LP to KK using Firmware Version Version WW_99.99.99.0 from https://www.asus.com/Phone/PadFone_S_PF500KL/HelpDesk_Download/. But there's no downgrade from MM to LP.
I want to ask, if someone ever try or from ASUS representative, can I downgrade from MM to KK using the firmware above...?
If it possile, is the process the same as updating it...? (Place it in internal storage and let it auto update it...?)
Thank you very much.
