Hello there.
I am using the X since a few weeks. It is a damm nice phone. perfect size, brilliant display and the rest of the specs is cool too.
But:
I can connect it with my car. I can get calls in the car using the audio + mic from the car. But I cant use the phonebook. And so I cant see who is calling or even use the carphonebook for dialing a number or use favs.
BT itself is working: I already transfered e.g. contacts via BT from my old phone. The UP MOVE is synching.
I also tried it on an BMW F20 - same problems.
In other forums ( e.g. oneplus ) I found some other persons with the same problem. They "solved" it by buying an app calles "Bluetooth Phonebook". It seems that the app will add/replace/change some BT Profiles.... It seems that there is an profile missing: PBA, PBAP Phonebook Access Profile.
If this is so, it will mean that OnePlus is not finished with the Oxygen 2.2.0.
The offical support can´t answer this question to me
Questions:
Can someone tell me how to check if this profile is on my phone?
If not present - how can I add it by myself?
Any other helpfull ideas?
Bluetooth Phonebook app is the easiest option.
Or i believe BT works with cyanogenmod

I would not rely on Oneplus to fix it as the problem still exists in the Oneplus 2 and thats been out even longer than the Oneplus X.
Workaround
I also have the exact same issue with my 2015 BMW. BT connection for calls work stable but contacts are only synced partially. My solution was to again and again delete and re-connect my OPX until in one instance all contacts were available in the cars phonebook. I then stored all important contacts into the cars phonebook so that they are always present independently from the connected phone. Not ideal but a workaround.
The issue for the OP2 was solved with the latest OTA update. So hopes are that OPX will receive the same fix...
I also have the same problem with Seat Léon St.
According to OnePlus community on Google+, this issue has been solved with the last update of OnePlus 2.
I already contacted OnePlus Support on Twitter but they cannot confirm.

I had a similar problems. With my OPT and OPX with My 208 GTi. Using Bluetooth Phone book from the play store was the easiest option.

+1 BMW e71 2012 / Ford Kuga 2015. Bluetooth phone book solved both, although Ford sync took a couple of attempts.
Something that oneplus needs to sort. Shouldn't need to pay to get this basic functionality
That's a known bug on OxygenOS from loooooonnnggg time ago, it was finally solved on OP2 in the last update so, it must also be fixed on OPX in the nest update...
On CM12 \ CM13, etc, it works great with all car bluetooth systems...
at the moment i am still in contact with the OP Support Team.
They are still NOT commenting the missing BT profile in Oxygen.
The App "BT Phonebook" is realy working. So imho its a missing basic feature of OP and has to be fixed.
Yesterday I got an OS update on my OPx but in the readme was nothing mentioned about BT
This is probably not what you guys are looking for but i had the same problem with my sony headunit no contact names would display just the phone numbers. I have since installed custom rom CM13 by ashwin and everything is working contacts display names and i can search people to call through the stereo settings etc.
Indeed. I don't really want to flash but my wife was connected to my car with her OnePlus One within the minute and streamed Spotify... So yes, this is not we really want but at the end, OxygenOS is a bit bugged

Does anyone have a same problem with me? I don't know why? I can't hang up or Ignore a phone call, when i pressed both, my phone still rang! I have just reset factory my Bip and re-install Mifit but it still doesn't work! My Bip Firmware version is: V0.1.1.36 and Mifit App version is at 3.4.0! Can anyone tell me what the problem?
What OS on phone? Many people complained about the same issue for other watches on Android 8.0+ (not sure if 8.1 only, or from 8.0 and up). Check other threads. No solution so far unless you want to downgrade phone.
I had the same problem with 7.0 (samsung) I have changed my phone and runs on 8.0 ( huawei) I still have the problem, It worked fine on my samsung 7.0, suddenly it stopped working one day, changed my phone but still the same problem,so I guess its the watch.

hi! recently found, yes found freebuds , someone lost them. so unable to give them back, i decided to nurture them myself?
I myself have a samsung galaxy s9+, and have connected them to it.
I have a few issues with it even though I have updated them to the latest firmware.
my issues include:
the freebuds just disconnect every now and then, they get out of sync with one another, get interrupted when in a busy street full of cars and on top of all that, there is a massive, 1.5 second lag between the video and audio when I try to watch videos.
I earlier saw earlier people tried to switch the codec either from AAC to SBC vice versa.
though myself, I don't know what any of that means, but if it helps.... ??
does anyone have any information or tips and tricks on this?
You might have a bad batch. TL;DR version, Russian users on 4pda mentioned that with earlier batches there were problems and they got a replacement which fixed the issues such as drop outs.
Since you're not the purchasing owner but a finders keepers type of owner, you're SOL.
Hi, I'm having issues too. Were working fine but suddenly only the right one is working. I tried to pair them many times, restore the freebuds... but apparently only one is pairing my pixel 2 XL.

If you have a huawei FreeBuds and some issues to pairing or connecting Bluetooth, then sure you are not the first one!
You can try the follow steps:
1. Put the left or right one in the case and follow the factory reset.
2 after you reset one of the pair you take out the reset one, put back the other one, and follow again the reset factory.
When you done with the second one. You take him out.
3. Close the empty case. Close your Bluetooth on your devices.
4. Open the case, put them (pair) back in the case, close case
5. Open case and follow the factory procedure.
6. Close case and start a New pairing with your phone and the free buds, but remember delete first our free buds in your phone before you pairing again your buds!
After you successfully connected, you can try a software update. Download the freebud app in google.
The old firmware is 16x, the new firmware is 19x.
The best way to update the firmware is without you have pared the freebuds in your Bluetooth list.
So delete first your pairing. Or use a other android phone.
When you follow the update, he ask to open the case and the green light go on. Press directly on update on the app. Because there is a short time the app can search the buds.
Hold your phone and buds case together. Less then 5cm.
I updated them with a Xiaomi A2 Android 8.1.0 device with the freebud app from google App Store.
Have many luck because the firmware update can stopped many times, if that happens do a factory reset with the buds inside the case. And retry a firmware update.
Don’t pairing the buds!

left bud issue
From the last update , initially my left bud didn't work at all, after some reset and re-pair it works but at a very low volume. In contrast the right bud works perfectly. I don't totally know how to fix this annoying problem. I tried in 100 ways also re-pairing the buds one at times but nothing works.
Someone who can help me?

My problem is that the noise quality is horrible.
I update, and nothing to do. It's like an old headphone, horrible !
I discover that when I go on bluetooth parameters, and parameters of the freebuds, when I take off "phone calls'' ("appels telephoniques'' in french menu), the quality instantly switch to an HD sound perfect !
The problem is that I can only use It for multimedia, and can't make a call !
If it can helps some of you !?
But is there someone who can solve entirely my problem ?
Use a Oneplus 5t.

check which codec (AAC or SBC) used now. I switched off the calls, but this doesn't makes any changes, codec still SBC

I have problem with my freebuds.the left buds only last 25 minutes while right is more or less 3 hours. what should I do with the left?
Just wondering if other people who own the Freebuds 3 have the same issue I have with the ANC.
So when you turn it on it does its thing, and then after a minute or so it suddenly sounds different. Like the ANC resets itself and then starts using other parameters to decide what sounds it will cancel. And it keeps doing that every couple of minutes. When it does I hear a small "plopping" noise (a bit the same as when you turn ANC on).
Just to be clear: the source of the sound I'm listening to (video, music, ...) doesn't change at all. It's purely the ANC that does something different.
And yes I'm on the latest software update and I use a Huawei Mate 20 X.
i had the same problem as you as well. i managed to do it by few steps i tried below and it work both on my pc and my huawei P20
1. Ensure the box is fully charged
2. remove the right hand side on the freebuds from the box
3.press the back button for more than 3 seconds and the blue light blinking
4.turn on your bluetooth and search
5 the blinking blue light will be faster than previous meaning other device (PC or P20) detected the freebuds
6. connect it up until successful
7.do not close the lid of the charging case.
8.insert the right hand side into the box freebuds
9.press the back button for more than 3 seconds and the blue light blinking
10. the blinking blue light will be faster than previous meaning other device (PC or P20) detected the freebuds
11 . connect it until successful
12. remove the previous freebuds from your bluetooth list
13. download freebuds assistant
14. update.
i just Performed these all steps like 10 mins ago and it works twice. hope it helps.

Hi i know this is an old tread, but followed your steps, the left one has been successful factory reset, but when i do the same for the right one it doesnt work, any solution please ?
My Stratos 3 is currently running 4.2.2.0 firmware.
Today Amazfit app has notified me a new firmware available: 4.2.2.1, but when I choose to upgrade, the watch looks for latest version and says it's on the latest.
Is there any way to force the discovery? I'm currently facing problems to sync sport activities between the watch and the Amazfit App and I'd like to test the new firmware to see it solves those problems.

Hi Johny, did you do anything else? I have done already like 10 factory resets, and the only thing I get after the incredibly fast firmware download is "Coudn't download updates, try again", and if try again, "Current version is up to date", once and once again
I'm losing my nerves with this watch, it works really bad
I'm in the same problem... I did 3 favtiry resets without any result. After a factory reset wath download firmware but appears a download error and stops... My watch version is A1929.
Another stranger thing is inthe amazfit app apeears a message to download the lastest version everytime.:crying:
Make sure watch can connect to Wi-Fi properly, otherwise it won't download the update. You can connect it in the settings on watch (of course).

The download finishes to 100% but when it try to install appear the download fail message... The wifi connection is on, and it seems to download all the firmware.
It can be a servet fail or similar. But it download to the 100%, I don't understand... I try 4 times factory reset and delete amazfit app to in mobile with same result.
If you know how to use adb, you can try this:
1. Connect the watch to the computer using USB
2. Make sure you have a file named "update.zip" on watch's internal storage after it reaches 100% downloading
3. Check if adb is working with:

4. If it does, try to start the update with this other command:

adb reboot update
It was very very weird.
When I was at home, my watch always told me it was on the latest version, but when I tried again far from home, it detected the new version (but I didn't have a Wifi around to download).
I then used my mobile Wifi tethering but I received an error on OTAUpdate module.
I did a Factory reset and I downloaded and installed it perfectly.
Really weird indeed... I was able to update also by tethering, wifi at home or office didn't work, so thanks for your help

Finally I can update, I explain the steps I have done.
1-factory reset
2-pair the phone with amazfit app.
3- select the update in the amazfit app ( not the stratos, because if you select in ther fails)
4- put password wifi and update.
The most extrange thing is because the same steps I done 6 or 7 times before, with the same wifi connection.

no need in factory reset, there was a bad file pushed to the OTA. it was replaced, everything should work out of the box.
I'm still not able to update but that looks like different issue.
When I try to enter wifi password in Amazfit app, press tick mark on keyboard it does nothing. On phone keyboard closing, window to enter password still there with password entered (no ok or other button) and Stratos 3 still waiting for password.
Maybe that is some incompatibility with Android 10 in Nokia 8.1?

Same issue here. The updated worked for 4.2.2.0 after many attempts but not the 4.2.2.1. I tried using the watch directly or the app.
Also, the watch quality is poor. GPS doesn't work properly for running even if trying different GPS combinations (GLONASS, GALILEU,)
I had the Amazfit Pace and it was great comparing with this one.. Really disappointed.
Really, so it suffers the same flaw as GTR/GTS? Another Huami failure?

Yes.. Just saw other pages about GTR / GTS. Exactly the same.
It takes a long time to get signal and I even had a run of app. 7 km that the watch recognized as about 13 km.
Doesn't seem like an easy and quick fix either..
I'm about to action the warranty..

just got mine i can definitly say there's nothing to do with GTR (sent it back)... accruacy is very good on this watch.

I'm 4.2.2.1 got it upgrade first time I boot.
Tried 2 or 3 times accuracy is good. GPS+Galileo (I'm french)
But I'm facing some bugs (due to early fw) the time of my workout it 1 hour sooner in amazfit app (if I do it at 15h00 it's displayed at 14h in amazfit app) in the watch it's ok.
I had also to disable "workout synced notification" because it was never stopping to send notification)
Last think I've noticed some notification are double sent: ex Gmail
But has I said the watch was first only in English French language came with latest fw. Some of you have those bugs?

I have a Amazfit Stratos A1619, ROM 2.3.13.0 (last ROM). Since the last updade of the firmware, i am facing some problems with the GPS signal. Now the smartwatch can't connect anymore. I tryed to install/uninstall the app, did the factory reset, try on different phone, and nothing helped.
I was wondering if you guys can give a solution for this case.

I had the same problem with my GTS2 , after an update the gps stop working . I've done everything but it won´t work. Since this sh1t has no wired (usb) connection, there is nothing we can do about it.
Same problem with stratos 3 working on ROM 4.2.5. GPS is not available.
It also looks like agps does dot update with Zepp.
I did several factory reset, uninstall/reinstall Zepp.
I'm bored of this Amazfit watch.
Maybe an issue with the Huami server ?

I think I found a good solution : I bought a second hand Garmin Fenix 5 !
me too, I have tried many times for Amazfit Stratos A1619, ROM 2.3.13.0 but all failed to catch GPS

I have verified with ADB tool that agps files are up to date when swatch is synchronized with ZEPP APP, so this is not the root cause. Some times, GPS is detected very quickly, some times, never, at the same place outside, very stange. Can we downgrade ROM ?
I have same problem here. I used amazfit since 2017, and this happend. So dissapointed. I have try contact amazfit support, they gave me older version of zepp app, but still have agps expired and cannot be updated. Maybe it's time to move on to gamin
