Hi,
how do I check for LCD make when I'm not on MIUI? I'm fairly certain that my screen is BOE, but would like to be sure.

I'm quite happy with my Folio now that it's running FolioMod, however, my biggest remaining concern is the screen. The viewing angle is pretty lousy, so I've started looking into possibilities of changing screen.
What do you hardware hackers say? Is there any good replacement screen out there that would fit and that also would work with existing drivers and so on?
interesting question!!
let see what hardware gurus says
But is it possible to buy a screen that it worth it (good and not to expensive) ? I had a quick look on the web, it seems that the only IPS screen that can be easily found is the iPad one.
Hello,
My phone's screen was broken and I order a new one. I just plugged-in the new screen before completely migrate it to the device and it looks like colour depth and contrast level is wrong.
Should I send back the screen or I just need a kind of calibration ?

That's exactly what happend to me, I bought it from Hong Kong a screen replacement and the colour depth is wrong, sometimes it looks like it's only 256 colours when viewing pictures. I guess the screen needs different settings in the MDNIE configuration. These settings modify the way samsung driver manages the screen. I do not know how to change those settings and the display works good otherwise.
I was having screen burn in and then replaced the screen from samsung service center and now i have this colour issue
I can't find anything on the net about this problem. I don't know what to do and I have to confirm the order for the screen. I am about to start to hate smartphone companies because this shouldn't be like this.
Hello
is it possible to Double-Tap Screen to Wake htc one max up? (something like LG G2 knock on feature)
there is a guide for htc one here
does it work on MAX too?
I don't think it's possible - hardware screen limitation
If they got that to work on the HTC One, maybe it could work on the One Max too, but we'd need someone to make a kernel for us to use.
From what I caught that works on an oled screen because it actually never turns the screen off it just makes it pure black. This uses a tiny amount of battery on an oled screen but would be monstrous battery use on an lcd like ours.

Hi..
I doubt on your words.... LCD or OLED has nothing to do with this cause we only touch the digitizer not the LCD/LED.
Just curious, if I leave the 2nd screen on all the time, should I be worried about burn-in? Currently I have the second screen turned off to save battery but also want to prevent the possibility of burn-in. Not sure if LG has performed any type of pixel shifting etc to prevent burn-in. Is this a problem on an LG display?
I'm pretty sure it's not an issue for LCD screens.
Hello,
My ZUK Z2 fell from a small height and the touch screen has the usual issue that works only for 2 sec after unlocking.
Can you suggest where to get a new Screen-Digitizer asembly; I wan a genuine one or one that is the closest possible to genuine. I have heard stories that some screens from aliexpress do not support multitouch and the LCD colors are off.
Can you suggest anything tested that ships to EU? (Greece).
Thank you
No one has ever changes a screen in this phone? Come on guys! Don't be shy! ;-)
