Hi,
There is a folder called top app on the phone with the apps booking.com and instagram inside. The folder is special whereby it will auto put in the top apps available inside. I accidentally drag out all the icons in that folder and now i can't get it back. Can some one advised me?
Couldn't you just drag one icon onto another, creating another folder and rename it?
It's not that kind. The folder if u tap on it has an info icon. And u can change settings like that of a watch folder and does auto updating

Does anyone know if there is a way to organize "all programs"
For example, when you pull up all the programs is there a way to create a folder "games" and put all the games in that folder so when I pull up all of the programs instead of a screen with every application this can be organized into folders.
I know my question is probably confusing, and pretty vague...but if anyone could offer any insight I would appreciate it.
Long press on a section of the homescreen select folder then do new folder. You can put whatever icons you want the same way you normally would except now you can drag them into the folder. When you open the folder click on the name to rename it.

Is there a way that i might be missing to hide albums in the gallery application? I know u can put a "." in front of the folder name to make it hidden to the whole device and possibly add 3rd party applications to hide folders but i just wanted to hide folders i have with icons in them, only in the gallery but still have them available when using other apps, that way i can still customize with the icons

Try Gallery Excluder. Easy way to choose folders that you want excluded in the gallery.

Make sure you don't exclude your music and movies folder though.
If you put a text file in the folder and call it ".nomedia", then none of the images in the folder will show up in the gallery.
Unless you're really attached to the stock gallery, I'd recommend trying QuickPic. It lets you hide or exclude folders and numerous other things, it also loads much faster than the stock app.

using this would hide the folder from every app though correct
like if i went to Launcherpro and wanted to change an icon in dock .. when i looked for that folder it would not be found.. really only wanted to block in gallery not the whole system
I'm having issues with this. My Nook app, for example, dumps huge folders of pics (from ArticleView I think) in the gallery. I've checked some albums, and they already have .nomedia in them and they still show in the gallery. I tried a few apps to hide the albums, but that breaks the functionality in the app too. Any solutions? This is really annoying.
try the app quickpic does an easy job of hiding or excluding folders.

When you manually copy the nomedia file you have to wait for the gallery Db to refresh to see the results.
If you download 'gallery excluder' it will add a nomedia file and allow you to force the media database to update whenever you'd like.
Last night I made make folders and organized my app drawer. I am so anal that I even alphabetized the apps inside the folders. The "edit alphabetize" worked ok for the folders themselves but not for the apps inside. I found that by dragging them in in alphabetical order, I could satisfy myself HOWER...
Today, I tried to go back and make some changes in my app drawer folders and I can't figure out how to get inside the folders to remove an app. I am sure I did it yesterday. Duh!
Home - Applications - Menu - Edit - View Type - Customizable grid
will allow new folders and moving of folders but how do I rearrange or delete apps inside those folders????
Thank you for any help here!
open the folder and long press the app you want to remove

I am probably just missing it, but is there a way to make folders in the app drawer screen? I have the default google folder but I can't seem to create my own (or remove any apps from the google folder). Thanks.

Pretty sure you just drag one app on top of the other to create a folder. Then just drag other apps in to add.

Right, but it seems like that can only be done on the home screen panels, not in the app drawer.

Go to app drawer, tap menu, tap "view apps by" and select "user customized".
While you're still in app drawer tap menu again, select "edit/uninstall apps"
Now drag an icon onto another icon to place them into a folder together.
While in edit mode you can open a folder and drag all the apps out of it to delete the folder.

Thanks Wikd, worked like a charm over the weekend.
OK, I did the search and came up nothing. But I noticed that Google managed to put a folder in the app drawer, how can I?
Open app drawer
Open menu
Select view apps by
Select "custom"
Open menu again
Select "edit/uninstall apps"
Now just drag an app over another and it will create a folder.
Once you create a folder, you can sort apps however you want again. By editing them from any view now, you can add to that folder.

So cool... Thanks... There is still a lot I need to learn... :highfive:
Nice... now how do I remove that damn Google folder and put the apps in it back in the app drawer where they belong?
(edit) Found out how. https://www.reddit.com/r/LGG3/comments/3aehbx/how_to_remove_google_folder_in_app_drawer/
