Amazfit Bip cant pair - Amazfit

i paired it with the phone this morning then unpaired it around 6pm but now when i tried to pair it with the phone it says "couldnt pair, contact customer service".
i tried clearing the bluetooth data and cache, forget device on bluetooth. still not fixed.
any solutions for this one?

You pair it with MiFit?
If yes, uninstall and try Notify and fitness.

I forgot :
Dissociate from the app before trying the other app.
You can use the option to erase all red configuration too (Note that it will erase your wifis registered too..)

[Q] Gear S STANDALONE?

Anybody can use Nike plus or Runtastic standalone (witout pairing with a phone)?
Or can do it only after rooted it?
Nike +: I tried running the app without the BT connected, and the Nike app would not run without it.
Don't know about runtastic, but I would believe that it also would require the pairing. At least for the initial setup and user statistics.
The S has yet to be rooted.

You only need run Nike+ with BT connected once. After that, you can use it stand alone without BT connection.
Root has nothing to do with how apps are written. If an app needs the phone app to work, it will require phone regardless you root or not. You need to change the app, not the watch.

Yes you are right nike+ working without pairing, but I cannot get any map.
I have rooted my gear S hoping to install same runtastic apk as the phone (working without pairing with other device).
Now that is rooted I don't know how to do because adb is not working on the gear S.

Wifi Only Connection and Speaker Questions

It is my understanding that the Zen2 using only a wifi connection can send texts, do "OK Google", and perform other data related functions even if not connected to a phone (i.e. if phone has both bluetooth and wifi off, or is not in proximity to the watch nor on the same wifi network). Is that the case? Does the phone need to at least be connected to cellular data, or can the watch still communicate over wifi even if the phone has no data connection (or is completely off)?
Regarding the speaker: I know that the Zen2 can play music stored on the phone. But, is there any way (or app) to stream music (or video such as youtube) on the watches speaker without being connected to the phone (watch is only connected to a wifi network)?
Lastly, what about phone calls? Is there any way for the watch to receive/make a phone call "independently" of the phone if the watch is only connected to wifi? If not, what about receiving or making a "data only" call (such as using Hangouts)?
TIA!
1. Watch must be connected to phone.
2. No.
3. No.

You can play YouTube videos (there is an app in the store). But I can't remember if it works on Bluetooth only. The downside is it seems to buffer the whole video before it starts, which took a while with my slow connection.

So what is the point of having wifi on the watch if it still needs to be connected to the phone? I don't get it.

I still get notifications via wifi if my phone isnt in bluetooth range.
ok google seems to work half the time for me, but only on 2.4ghz networks. They have to be public (w/o a portal that makes you accept terms of use) or ones youve used on your phone (the watch gets the wifi password from your phone)

Hmmm, I am connected to my wifi router, with phone off. I sent myself an email but no notification. I try "okay google" but nothing but the watch saying I'm disconnected.

Okay I have both cloudsync enabled (on phone's Wear app) and wifi set to automatic but still nothing. No email notifications and I have the crossed-out cloud icon on my phone. Perhaps the wear server is not working for me?
Did you just enable those settings now? If so, it probably takes some time to transmit the new info and WiFi password via slow Bluetooth. Leave you watch connected via Bluetooth and try again later.
I haven't tried to observe and test myself, but I would imagine there is some lag with getting the notifications since the watch connects and disconnects from WiFi periodically to save battery, as opposed to staying on WiFi constantly

No it's been setup for a while like that. I just now turned off sync, and unpaired my watch. I'm going to start from scratch, pair the watch and then turn on cloud sync and see where it gets me. Thanks for your help!

Additionally, when you turn wifi on automatic on the watch, stay on that screen until the wifi connects. Once it does, you can adjust the wifi sleep preferences from the advanced menu.

I really would like to see an accurate list of what the Zenwatch 2
is capable of doing if I were to disable bluetooth on my phone &
only use the wifi feature in the phone and the watch.
I know I will not be able to make or receive phone calls if I do that.
But what about all the other functions of the watch?
Will wifi stay enabled in the watch if the bluetooth on my phone is disabled?
-----
Also I still have not found a way to sync/pair my watch to my phone without having to "unpair" after flashing
or restoring a different rom in my phone and setting up all the wear apps, android wear app and all the other
apps and settings which needs to be setup in the phone. (even after I reboot the watch and the phone)
The only solution I found was to "unpair" (factory reset the watch)
and after doing that the phone pairs just fine with anderoid wear
and starts the very long syncing process.
There must be some way of pairing and syncing the watch to the
phone without having to "unpair" it and start from scratch.
Thanks!

Look for "reset wear client" apk here on XDA. It allows you to re-pair watch to different devices or different ROMs on same device without factory resetting

The ADB commands don't work at all, and after much reading in that thread you
posted I finally found out why it's not working for me.
I have upgraded my zenwatch 2 to Marshmallow 6.0 a few weeks ago and I got another
small ota update a few days ago which upgraded the OS version from v1.4 to v1.5 ...
So I am back at square one.
I am not interested in using more than one phone (S7 Edge) with my watch.
The only thing I need is a way to pair and sync my watch without needing to do a
"unpair-device" each time I use twrp to restore a different nandroid backup of my
phone's custom rom or simply restore the same custom rom both of which has
already been fully paired and synced with the watch.

Your watch should stay paired after an update unless you wipe the data partition, or unlock the bootloader which wipes the data partition

I think that apk I linked to addresses the issue in your original post. Install the apk on your phone and it will load the app on to your watch. Once you need to setup your watch with a new phone or ROM, open the reset wear client on your watch. Click the "reset gms" button (root required). This will reboot your watch. Now your watch is ready to be paired to a new ROM or device without a factory reset or re-syncing of apps. Open the reset wear client app on your watch and click make BT discoverable. Then click yes. Now you can open android wear app on your phone and click on your watch. It will say pairing complete and updating. At this point you will reboot both your phone and watch. Then they should both connect fine and function without having to reset or re-sync your watch apps

Several things you can do, just pick one at a time:
1 - Clean data of App
2 - If you have TWRP, clean cache and Dalvik
3 - A simple reboot
4 - Test with other phone
5 - Backup, factory reset and restore or backup and re-flash ROM

AGPS Problem

Hi !
I've got an amazfit chinese version with pacefield and since a few days i can't launch run activity. I've got this message :
"AGPS has expired, gps searching will be slow Please connect the Amazfit watch app to update it"
I've also tried many times to sync my watch with amazfit but nothing happen.
Seems to be same issue here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/sm...acefied-amazfit-huami-xiaomi-amazfit-t3581833
I found this :
65. What is the auxiliary satellite search (AGPS)?
AGPS is a kind of GPS satellite orbit information data, can help watch faster GPS positioning. While keeping the watch connected to the phone’s Bluetooth, the watch will take the initiative to synchronize with the AMAZFIT watch app and update the AGPS data regularly each day . If the watch does not sync data from the AMAZFIT watch App for 7 consecutive days , the AGPS data will expire. Positioning speed may be affected after expiration, when the watch will remind you to update when you start exercise.

Maybe their server are down
Hello, I got the same agps massage yesterday and I tried to downgrade the Amazfit app to the version of December the 29.
For the first it was no difference but today morning it updates the agps. I'm on stockfied 1.3.5
I have the same issue with PACEfied 1.2.48h and Paceficator 1.2.49k Rom v3.8 as well. Tried Amazfit App 2.2 and 2.1.1 but no new AGPS data.
Is it possible to update this manually?

Nope. Unfortunately you can't update it yourself Thomas

My Amazfit work without AGPs data, but connection is slower.
Seems to be fixed today morning without updating ROM or app. Maybe Huami server had problems last days.

Amazfit US version 1.3.7 released

Sistem UI improvements and bug fixes.
And the proof
Added find my phone feature which doesn't work with iPhone. And the weather wasn't fixed yet
Here on Android Find my phone and weather works without issues as always.
Waiting for the stockfied version.
My weather app is not working with Amazfit iOS app.
I’m still using 1.3.6d sockfied custom firmware.
All working here with android..
Just updated and the watch forgot all my settings, like it did a factory reset. It is still paired with the iphone, but now the sync gives an error. "Activity data sync failed (Code HO2), please retry." An no matter how many times i retry it keeps the same error.

Had the "Activity data sync failed (Code HO2)" too. unpairing and re-pairing the watches fixed that.
edit: units setings and heartrate history restored after re-pairing. daily activity did not (maybe not yet). weather still does not work.
I was going to try a factory reset, but first tried unpair. Little did i know its the same thing
So after the factory reset/unpair-repair it seems to be working!
Weather still not working, lost daily activity, but sync working again.

I can confirm that all settings are reset after the update on Android too.
Strangely, in my case, the settings were not reset after upgrading. The only thing I lost was my last night sleep data, which probably hasn't been synchronized with the phone. Even the custom watchfaces and some extra apps I installed remained intact.
The weather did not work for a while, but this was also due to the need for synchronization - after about half an hour it reappeared.
The only problem I have (and had with the previous firmwares), probably related more to my phone, is that despite the "connected" status, the connection only works for a couple of hours and then goes dead. Disabling bluetooth on the phone and reenabling it fixes this every time, but this is a bit of a PITA.
Exactly the same thing here on my ios app and with my watch. I've contacted the amazfit support. I really don't want to lose my yesterday's activity report because of doing factory reset.

Weather is broken on iOS, you have to wait to WOS2 (firmware 2.x.y) for your Pace, it's available only in CN now (for stock watches). To fix sync, unpair then pair the watch again (it will erase all data on watch, so backup any music or watchface you may need).
how many time on the screen of updating? I´m waiting at least 4 hours and continues....
