Mate 10 Pro Home screen Flashing - Huawei Mate 10 Questions & Answers

Hi Everyone
I have a stock Android 8 OS, 128GB Mate 10 Pro, 6GB RAM on the 3 network (UK). I used the Phone Clone app to transfer data from my Mate 9 to my Mate 10 Pro. Now I have a flashing wallpaper on the home screen on my Mate 10 Pro. There are no app Icons, there's no bottom bar either (back, home buttons etc). I can't open any apps, because there's no icons or an app drawer icon. The top notifications bar is shown & doesn't flash. I can open the notifications & settings on the top notifications bar. It's taken me many hours to transfer all the data. I reset the Mate 10 Pro to factory default 3 times and then re-cloned 3 times. I still get the same problem every time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Why not use hisuite? Used this to transfer from Mate 8 to Mate 10 Pro. Worked flawless.

I have this same problem, no app icons. Screen switches between black and my wallpaper, top bar works normally, home buttons work, volume menu works normally while screen flashes in the background. I have used google assistant to open all apps. No lagging or anythin while using apps

Huawei Mate 10 Pro - Incredibly slow wake up time

Hi everyone, I got a Huawei Mate 10 pro a while ago and it has been an excellent device so far.
Lately I have been experiencing a bit of an issue with wake up time.
Some times it take a good 10 seconds with my finger on the fingerprint reader before the phone wakes up and unlocks. Some other times I press the lock button dozens of times before it actually wakes up.
Has anybody experienced the same issue?
Be aware that I have tinkered with adb to enable some features with a few apps (mainly to enable gesture based navigation and immersive mode).
Do I factory reset it or is there any way to debug the issue?
Any help is truly appreciated.
I have same issue and I solved it with factory reset.
I think it was adb commands.
With which apps used adb?
I now have oneplus gestures app and hide nav bar via adb for this app and it works like charm.

I had that problem but with POWER BUTTON, when i press it, it wakes up with 3 to 4 sometimes 5 seconds behind. Finger works very fast thou.

I used it mainly with apps that attempted to hide the navbar. But all they did was using the command to change the overscan value, messing up with the position of other elements in the os.
Does your setup hide the navbar completely or does it still pop up when sliding up from the bottom edge?
I'll factory reset it today anyway, because I'm getting really frustrated.

The new face unlock seems to not suffer from this issue on my device, but still I'll reset it

It hides it completely! Oneplus gestures app is the best full screen gesture app by far at least for me.

No google feed on homescreen

Hi all,
Just set up my Australian version of the mate 20 Pro and it's going fairly smoothly however I noticed that I don't have "Google feeds" option in my home screen settings (see screen shot). Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Maybe it depends on your provider or country
As far as I know, EMUI comes with a feed called "HiBoard" and the default launcher only seems to support that. You can use NovaLauncher to get the google feed working though (in theory).
On mine theres an option in Home screen settings to enable Google feed by swiping right on the homescreen, I've mine disabled but it was on by default.
I get to it using settings, home screen & wallpaper, home screen settings, its then at the bottom for me.
I'm not using any 3rd party launchers, stock.
DOH! just managed to see your screenshot and mine is where HiBoard is on yours.

euro versions have google feed. chinese/int versions have hiboard
It's just as easy to click on the little G in the Google now search bar widget that some people including myself keep on homescreen.

Google now cards gone..

Just got my Mate 10 Pro and notice that when i swipe right, the google now widget is showing. But i only get news... Where are all the useful cards that they used to have? Like how long until home and weather and stuff.

Long press on the home button until Google Assistant starts, then swipe up. Lots more options to customize, voice commands, etc. The icon in blue on the screenshot will also take you from the main assistant screen to this. It's also on the news screen on the bottom.
Hit the button top right gets you another way into the assistant side of things and some of the other cards that used to be in the feed.

App FuelLog not working on Mate 20 pro Android 10

Hello, after upgrading to Android 10, I cannot export or import anything in FuelLog. The fact is that in EMUI 10 the three dots button disappeared - Menu button. The developer doesn't activate in Google Play anymore. Is there anything I can do to use app?
I too need solution for this problem.
Solution that worked for me
I found a solution that worked for me.
I installed the "Menu Button 4.9" app. This app allowed me to enable 3 dot settings menu for the "Fuel Log Pro" app on my S10 running Android 10.

a few questions

hi all, i have a realme 7 pro and i want to disable the google screen to the left, cant seem to find the setting anywhere.
id also like to enable keypad sounds and change the volume of it? right now its super loud.
when i cloned my old phone to my new one (realme 7 pro) i chose to not bring any apps over but it decided to install some google apps, such as google photos and file manager, so now i have 2 of each and its confusing, how do i remove the google apps and keep the realme ui apps? when i go into the app settings the disable button is greyed out.
last but not least is there a way to use a stock android launcher? im not a big fan of the realme ui.
Cheers!
