unstable phone - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I got an XPERIA Z2, at first I replace the mainboard for a new one since it was damaged by me. after that, I'm always experiencing the phone hang and it takes to the point I decided to flash it with a new ROM. Every time I do that it works fine but after a week or 2 the phone freezes again. The same process but using different ROM but still happens again.
HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!

Check only those two boxes and leave the rest untouched. Also better start flashing with older firmwares like 17.1 or 17.2 which are on Android 4.4 and 5.0 respectively then flash the latest 23.5.A.1.291 all through flashtool.

If that's the case than it seems more likely your MM firmware is corrupted, download another one and try flashing it again.

Try flashing the firmwares ever released in reverse-chronological order until you found one stable and stay on it.

And I don't think I did something silly because I got soft brick twice.

If you're into 2.2 try AtiFroyo. It's pretty decent but there's plenty of GB roms that are pretty much flawless.
I tried it using both XRecovery and CWM.

Weird.
It could be that you have a corrupted file(s). Have you tried downloading the files again?
Also, from where are you downloading the files? If you're downloading using your phone, you might want to try downloading using a PC.
As you might have noticed, this thread had 7 posts only in over a year.. That alone should let you know the quality of the rom.
Try FroyoPro. It's bug-free.

Disable update center using Titanium Backup or Link2SD or something similar, and it won't bug you anymore.

because you are on a custom kernel, if u flash stock kernel, then it will not prompt you on an update.

It's not due to custom kernel. Its because you must have ulbl. Now once unlocked, it is no more within the ambit of Sony. So the update appears as it can't trace the fw of the device. Even if you select to download and install... Nothing harmful will happen... But it won't get installed either. See screenshot

Nope I reflashed stock ROM and Kernel on my ULBL Xperia S many times update didn't prompt. It also took me days before flashing custom Kernel because I was testing an app at that time. After flashing a custom Kernel, update prompted even I'm on an updated stock ROM. The best way is to freeze or disable the update center using TB, Link2SD or something similar.

Hi Guys, as requested by some of you ,this is a rooted rom for the i8190L Only!
DO NOT INSTALL THIS IN THE i8190 or the i8190N !
This rom is only for latin based [i8190L] device.
To minimize problems the rom only includes the system partition, this way your kernel etc dont get messed if anything goes wrong.
I recomend that you get your original rom before flashing just in case.
check for your original rom HERE
The rom is based on Claro Ecuador.

QUESTION: Do you think this deodexing method should work with our device? Is it worth trying?

Could this be rooted? Is unbranded!
I will prefer to have this unbranded rom:
I8190LUBALK4 / UUBALK4
No ISP trash, I tried today on my S3 i8190L and works perfect but no root because is stock.
But if anyone knows how to root it would be really appreciated!
I took it from this page

new FW 11.3.A.0.681 rolling

A Chinese user in Chinese forum got the update today. Anyone?
Nope. I believe he might be a lying sonofabitch A google search of 11.3.A.0.681 shows me that this thread is the only (Android related) place on the internet that mentions 11.3.A.0.681. He has either a "brown" device (dev device) and he received a beta update, or he's lying.

now three guys said they got 681 in forum, and one said it's 4.4.2!!
I don't believe it - pretty much each part of that firmware name seems to be 'older' than .136.
11.3 is older than 14.2 - and A.0 is older than A.1 - the only thing later is .681 - but considering the first two are older, the last part is irrelevant.
Had it been 14.2.A.1.681 - maybe we'd be talking.
However, 14.2.A.1.142 is an interesting prospect.

agree
I think 14.2.A.1.142 (I think I swa talk of another 14x as well) will just be a bug fix if it gets released. 4.4 is rumored to be 14.3.A.x.xxx

Wanna check before rooting

HI there. Im new to experia device. just got some things to ask before I proceed on rooting my device.
My device info:
Device: d6503
Firmware: 4.4.4 (23.0.1.A.0.167)
Customization number: 1281-4652 (Germany)
BTW, im using the device here at Philippines, and its working fine
My questions are:
1. Im gonna downgrade to 4.4.2, which firmware should I flash? uhm the one easier to root
2. Is it safe to flash firmwares meant for other countries?will it still work here on our country?i
3.1 more thing, if I flash a branded firmware will I get simlock?
Thanks in advance..
Sent from my D6503 using XDA Free mobile app
1. 314 because this is rootable
2. yes/no, D6503 on D6502 means wifi and mobile data wont work
3. doesnt matter what country, can be flashed across any Z2
3.1 - im not sure but id exclude the simlock file in flashtool before flashing a FTF
