I'll start first with the specs.
On the box, it says "Turbo Touchscreen Internet Tablet T9020". In the settings, it says "rk30sdk".
RAM: 1GB
CPU: 1.2ghz(Cortex A9) dual core
Android version: 4.2.2 Jellybean
I didn't do a nandroid backup because it seemed impossible as it COULDN'T boot into bootloader mode which was required to backup using rockchip tools. It doesn't have a custom recovery.
It started to bootloop when i messed around with the build.prop. I tried to pull it using ADB (so i could revert the changes) but I can't. I can't mount /system. Additionally, when I'm in ADB SHELL, i couldnt just use any command without typing "busybox" first. If i dont type "busybox <command>" it will just say that it can't find the command in blah blah something like that.
I also tried to open the tablet physically, hoping to find "clues" and on the CPU, "RK3168" is written. After that, i downloaded a firmware for "Cube U25GT" which was also an rk3168 and I tried to flash it, but still, no luck. The tablet wasnt even detected by rockchip's flash tool.
I would really appreciate your help
bump
Well While im Saving my Build.Prop I accidentally deleted it... Really!!
I cant see the Backup file i think thats build.prop.bak?
And Im nervous in that time
So I tried to restart my Device
My Device is ALPS ZH&K 4.2.2
Then its stuck at ZH&K Logo or The Startup Logo
Help plz I Tried many Answers in some threads
But this is the result
When i type ADB Devices
My device is this
ABCDEFG1234 Host
And When i type ADB SHELL
CMD Said Error:Closed something like that
If you don't have a custom recovery like TWRP, then you will have to reload the original software. Being that it is an Alps phone, I think that's a mediatek device and you'll need the firmware and SPTool.
I cant understand some of your english since im a Filipino

Well I think i guess that out so ThankS for Answering my Problem
Hi everyone,
I have an Acer Liquid Zest Plus t08 - z628
Here is other info of a device:
Android version: Marshmallow 6.0
Kernel version: 3.18.19+
Build number: Acer_AV0M0_t08_RV01RC03_EMEA_BHT (last three digits "BHT" is probably BH Telecom my carrier in Bosnia)
Chipset: mt6735
==========================================
I want to root this device. I've tried all possible methods i could find on the web. (Kingroot, Kingoroot, Framaroot, MobileGo!, TunesGo!, Root Genius, Baidu root), pretty much all possible "one-click-root" tools available, all methods failed to root my device.
One of the possible solutions is tu flash custom recovery, and flash SuperSu, but the problem is, i couldn't find a twrp or cwm for this device. I searched all the web but I couldn't find it.
Also i tried to make my own cwm using MTK Android tools, but I don't have boot.img file. I can't find boot.img anywhere on the web.
Im desperetly need help because i tried almost everything i know.
If anyone have Stock rom of this device, or boot.img of this device or anything that can help me root this device, please help!
Thanks in forward, and sorry for bad english.
Update:
I've tried apsolutely every possible thing available and failed.
Does anyone have scatter file of this device model?
That file would help me to create a boot image and then to port cwm for my device.
I tried MTK Droid tools to create scatter file but failed. When I click on "blocks map" button it gives me an empty table.
So what I need is:
- scatter file for acer z628 t08
or
- boot.img
or
- recovery.img (cwm or twrp)
or link to original stock rom for this device model.
Any help would be appreciated!
Same problem
I would like to tell you that I found a way, but i didn't. I actually have the same problem, on the exact same phone. My knowledge in phone rooting isn't great so I won't be able to help, but i would be very happy if you could inform me if you find a way.
Hello,
Ask this man. Hi did it for (t7) version. May be he will help you to port twrp.

Same problem here
Hi All,
Like Mirzakv i also tried everything, but in addition "One Click Root " tool lead me to the answer this software tool is suitable and claimed it has the power for rooting the Acer Liquid Zest Plus T08 . But unfortunately the "One Click Root " tool stucked the rooting process unless you pay or transfer 35 USD for going on.
Here is the scatter taken from OS_Acer_Acer.AV0M0.T08.1.015.00.WW.GEN1S_A60M_A.zip which can be downloaded from acer's site.
I don't know what is the difference between GEN1 (my case) and GEN1S versions, but I hope that memory maps are the same.

Hi Mirzakv,
Which version of MTK Droid root and tools did you used ? Version 2.5.3 ?
we have MT 6735 chip, maybe we are not in this sequence, (MT6572-MT6592), and have to wait for an MTK Droid tool update for rooting the device.
On the Acer website, Netherlands, i see O.S i think this is the stockrom or firmware and this is maybe not the scatter file, but i am not sure.
Maybe Romavnts can help us out, i am not a programmer or electronic engineer, but user only of this smartphone who like to tweak and tink.
Still waiting and hoping for more advice,
regards
Is there still no way to root this device?
The acer website now shows 2 os images:
1. WW_GEN1S
2. TWN_GEN1
Does that help us?
Lol idk much about rooting but it'll be cool to able root my phone XD
(kinda weird cause the image i have is Acer_AV0M0_T08_RV01RC12_PA_GEN1)
Working TWRP recoverimage for ACER T08
Hi Guys
I was also looking for a way to Root the Acer Liquid Zest Plus (T08). My Acer is the Acer_AV0M0_T08_1.018.00_WW_GEN1. I searched the whole Internet and found nothing. So i took the TWRP 3.0.2.1 and ported it for the ACER T08.
Now a little manual to install. First Backup all your Contacts and all the Stuff you wanna keep. Then put the SuperSU-v2.82 on the Phone / SD card in Phone.
First install ADB/Fastboot on your Computer.
Then start a CMD (press Start-button and search for cmd and start cmd.exe) then change to the directory where you have installed ADB/Fastboot.
Next step, put the TWRP_ACER_T08.img into the ADB/Fastboot folder.
Then you have to turn on USB-debugging @ Developer options on your phone. Also unlock Booloader.
Now back to the CMD-window and enter:
adb reboot bootloader - (it will restart your phone and after a few second u see on Display a down left corner Fastboot mode)
Then write at the CMD-window
fastboot getvar all - (look if Bootloader is unlocked. If not write: "fastboot oem unlock" but remember that this will do also a Factory reset on your Phone. )
If your Bootloader ist unlocked write at CMD-window
fastboot boot TWRP_ACER_T08.img -(This will only Boot into TWRP-recovery not Flash it to your Phone. So you can keep the original Acer recovery)
After a few seconds the TWRP recovery starts and u can install the SuperSU-v2.82. After installing wipe cache/dalvik and reboot your phone.
Now your Acer T08 will be rooted.
Everything u need to Root your Phone you can find here:

Sorry that a error happen while trying to flash the recovery, but i haven´t tried to flash it on my phone cause i wanted to keep the original recovery. But i´m happy to hear that it finally worked for you with the Bootway.
Just followed your instructions, worked perfectly. Thanks a lot!
Thanks a lot! You are great!
But I had a problem with Windows10. After adb reboot bootloader command phone restarted to Fastboot mode. And there was no connection.
On Ubuntu16 everything was fine.

not recognized
Hi there. My liquid zest plus doesnt show up in adb devices or fastboot devices. Also I apparently have no os and no system files. I have twrp installed but cant install any of the roms for the t08 because apparently my internal storage and system cant be mounted. Any suggestions please? Im desperate.
Thanks
Is this the right forum area? I posted over in CF-Auto root with no response, figured I would try here.
http://www.randmcnally.com/product/tnd-tablet
It supposedly has a custom proprietary build Rand McNally uses. It has a built in recovery of which I'll post a screen.
The "reboot to bootloader" option simply hangs on the boot screen.
I've tried kingroot/kingoroot, towelroot, and googled my life away trying to root this GPS/tablet.
There doesn't seem to be a way to flash a custom recovery without bricking it(unsupported device), and there's no way to pull the recovery.img without root!
Can anyone help? The rooting of these devices would open up a world of possibilities.
How is it possible to root this thing if its not recognized by fastboot? Any attempt of rebooting into bootloader even through external tools is stuck on bootscreen.
It allows the Delevoper option of unlocking bootloader, but how if I can't even send the command? Not only is bootloader locked, it seems completely off limits.
Some possibly relevant details from bugreport, and the logcat file???

Down another rabbit hole after finding out this thing is an "AllWinner" brand Android tablet...
Hey, any chance you could upload the Launcher APK and lib s? I'm also investigating root on a TND740 (which is also Android based), so maybe I can help if I find anything out. The launcher would be awesome though. Thanks!
I'd love to put that software on my Asus Tablet <3 hook us up
tnd t80b bootloop no adb permissions
Hey guys, I have a bootloop on this tablet. And I managed to wipe adb certificates off it so I cant even adb in anymore. TND T80B Anyone have a stock Firmware or any clue how to use this tablet again.
Thanks for any help!
How did u get into fastboot mode from engineering menu? I cant seem too, it just reboots too system after about 1 min.
I assume, like to enter recovery menu, there is a key press combo i need too use after choosing fastboot mode, but i dont know what it is
I think you adb reboot ....
it could be .. bootloader.. fastboot..RUU...RRU..recovery..
I cant remember exactly. I had to get root first I think. this device has an Allwinner A64 chipset on a tulip board. Allwinner has everything available on github and a wiki site for building roms for this device and others.
Felmode... look it up... these are unbrickable...
if you find a rom or a Stockrom let me know please

if I could ever get a copy of the api or a compiler to work correctly on linux... I'd have my own to flash on.
Also I've never tried but there is another USB port on the back of this thing where the 2nd GPS hooks on. you might be able to boot or access some un secured path through that.

I guess i should have been more careful when i posted here, i actually have an Rand McNally OveryDryve 8 not a TND series tablet, and thats the one i cant get into fastboot too get the bootloader unlocked and then root and stuff....
If i cant get fastboot commands too works i cant do anything else...
I would use dr.Phone like others have, but it does not install seemless root apparently, it modifies files that break updates, and i dont want that, id prefer Magisk with seemless so i can then install safteynet and gapps properly

Short answer.... You cant.... I tried with a previously rooted model too send the apk file, even if it installs on your new device, it wont work without ALL of the RM Services apps as well, and all have too be system apps and setup just right or its not going too work... I gave up and never ened up getting it too work because i couldnt get half of the apks too istall let alone run without crashing constantly...
I've spoken to rand and they seem to think their GPS hardware is better than that found in today's phones like they are Holy as ####. Their systems are junk but the 2.0 navigation is far worse, I want to pull the old software and install it to a newer or different device like y'all. I'm willing to put some money towards the goal, I know some of my friends would do the same, anyone up for starting a fund, or someone have the skills to make it happen? Let's get this rolling!
Side notes, if you look at the older devices specifically the tndt80 that has Google play on it, (newer ones don't!) I at one time had the installation files and installed them onto a cell phone. I was able to run a route comparison before the software realized my Samsung galaxy wasn't a tnd tablet, once it realized it wasn't one of their devices it had a message saying that and closed down.
I'm pretty sure that's on one of my old phones with a busted screen, I'll get some screens ordered and see if I'm right (hopefully!)
So besides the installation files that would be the next hurdle, maybe an emulator to bypass the device name/serial etc to allow it to run?
Hello
I own a brand new Condor Allure M3 shipped with Android 8.1 (It has project treble). It has 4GB RAM and has a Mediatek Helio P60 (MTK6358) CPU. It is not rooted. The bootloader is unlocked too. I'm wanting to install TWRP on it, so I'm searching to get the recovery.img. I searched on Google how to do it and it asks to use adb and to make "cat /proc/mtd". After doing that, the file does show nothing, only the size etc... thing, so I don't know how to extract it.
I read that there is a way to root devices using MediaTek CPU, and I also read about Project Treble (my phone does have it).
Please help me installing TWRP or rooting it, it will be a big step.
Thanks !
UP please
