I'm trying to find a 4:3 aspect ratio Android tablet with ~8" screen that will support multi touch gestures with an Apple Magic Trackpad. The Mi Pad looks like a good fit. Does anyone happen to own both a Mi Pad and an Apple Magic Trackpad and would you be willing to try connecting through Bluetooth and share your results?
Thank you!

I have a cheap android tablet, Ainol Novo 7 Advanced(some other cheap chinese tablets have the same issue), which has a screen with non square pixels. The resolution is 5x3(800x480) but the screen is 16x9. This results everything being squished in landscape and stretched in portrait.
Does anyone who knows how android rendering works know of a way to acount for the physical pixels not being square at the system level to fix this. Maybe tell android to render 854x480 and then squish it into 800x480.
Thanks for help you can offer.
Odd
I have the same issue with rena3 android tablet, any ideas?
No, I'm stumped. We need someone who knows how the Android graphics sub system works.
*Bump*
No one knows how to fix this?
I have the same problem with the Bmorn V11.
Other than that a fantastic tablet for the money!
Any idea on this? It's a shame that they still sell tablet which has this issue. Everything looks distorted.
How's pen input on this. I'm looking for another tablet that I can do note taking that's part pen, part drawing. I'll probably sell off the Nook color and get this.

i think it's worth it.. esp if u can find it for 250 - 350 ..
at the same time i say that... asus said at mwc they'd be bringing out a 7 inch quad core tegra 3 tablet with stylus support and ICS with 8mp rear camera *no front facing cam tho* for around 250 i think they called it the MEMO 370T .. something like that...idk if it's worth waiting for you or not..
I think the pen input is great on this tablet. Writing is one thing, but the pressure sensitivity is really also sensitive enough to do some descent sketching and drawing. Just watch out for the HTC Note app as it is not nearly as sensitive as some other third party apps such as Quill and Sketchbook Pro.
I am really liking the pen input, only issue is the varying amount of success going from one app to the next. Some work great, some are not as great.
Built in HTC notes app is nice for jotting down quick notes.
Quill is awesome for note taking
Sketchbook mobile is nice for drawing but not as precise as I'd like.
Draw(er) pro is terrible
Drawing pad is fun, but it's like MS Paint and not very feature filled
I haven't really given Handwrite pro a chance.

Where did they say the info about the stylus support? Did they mention a stylus specifically, because every tablet has stylus support, and they're all terrible IMO.

Ics has native stylus support that is supposed to be better than what they had previously. That said, the hardware and software of the flyer/view/jetstream are built together specifically for optimal stylus support. So yea, this tablet will be the best for that until HTC or someone else improves on scribe. But I think ics will be passable.
Brought to you by tapatalk on my HTC Flyer.

The Asus Memo does not have an active digitizer.
Writepad works great for a keyboard replacement
Pen great and if you ever used a PalmPilot you'll love that you can use the graffiti writing instead of the keyboard, nice for when you want to take notes without looking down at the screen.
It will be possible of course. But what I am interested in "will it be possible to draw on Honor professionally?". I'm looking for a tablet or a phone on which I could draw and that has a high precision.
You should look for either an ipad Pro or a waccom tablet man. Nothing in the smartphone industry can be used to draw professionally
I should have used the term semi-professionally. Cause I'm not a painter, but I want to draw as a hobby.
You'd have to look at Samsung galaxy note series at the least. Other smartphones don't cut it for stylus inputs with regards to precision
Hello folks,
.
I'd like to purchase a mediapad m5 (8.4 maybe 10.8) for use as a car gps.
.
I owned a z3 sony tablet for a while, it was a good product except I could not use it with my *polarized* sunglasses in landscape mode, screen became invisible
So I now have a galaxy tab s2 9.7, the super amoled screen is visible in both landscape and portrait modes with polarized sunglasses.
.
I'm considering the m5 due to its 16/9 form factor, as opposed to 4/3 in use by samsung on their tablets.
I'd be grateful if some of the current users of the mediapad m5 could try polarized sunglasses to see if it can be used normally in both landscape and portrait.
.
Thanks in advance for your kind advice.

I've tried with polarized ones, can be used in landscape and portrait as well. In portrait it's just a bit darked.

10.8
lcd screens are typically polarized at 45° . which can interfere with sunglasses if you tilt your head. If you want an unpolarized screen you need oled.
Thanks obveron
In the case of the z3c the lcd screen was perfectly visible in portrait.
In a gps setup however it is easier to use a tablet in landscape.
Have you tried yours with polarized sunglasses?
I'm curious to know whether the experience onlyoneme is valid for all models and regardless of the type of sunglasses.
Any feedback on the mediapad 8.4 would be particularly useful.
The m5 tablets are not available locally in stores in my country so I'd have to order it online "blind" from overseas without trying it first, hence the question.
Hi, I have connected my newly bought SGS9+ to Dex Pad. I have 27" monitor with native FHD. Right Dex is ,,playing"(?) FHD resolution, but DPI of screen is... oh my god. Terrible. My eyes are hurting. Or how to change screen ... dunno. Win10 call it 100% size...
